If I knew how to paint I'd probably do some work to make Shredder more, well, Shredder-like, although I'd still keep April as-is.

In a few months Hasbro is releasing Jinx, a female ninja clad in yellow. She should lead to many an April custom.

You kiddin'? I'm sorry please don't take this the wrong way but I have to be brutally honest, these are probably the lamest customs I've seen on here. There doesn't appear to be any work done on these figures other than maybe swapping a few accessories and changing the character's names. Does that make them count as custom figures? And plus they don't even look anything like April and Shredder. Lame.

I dunna, I could see the Shredder as some sort of interesting redesign. I'd could see this drawn in the style of the Feudal Foot from Secret History.

Not sure what he really did to Scarlet (that is her right?) though.

Yes Shredder does look more like it simply because of the helmet, but even that is wrong it looks like a cloth hood around his head. And where are Shredder's trademark blades? Isn't that why he's the Shredder? It looks like he just took some GI Joe figures fresh out the box and renamed them.

1. kitbash
The practice of modifying a model (not limited to toy action figures) to achieve some result other than that intended by the manufacturer. ...
I had to kitbash my Luke Skywalker figure with my Darth Vader figure because Luke was missing a hand.

3. kitbash
To modify any project and crap it up with non-stock parts, often with interesting results. Use of existing or scrap pieces (from just about anything) is usually prefered to fabrication of new ones.

Not sure what he really did to Scarlet (that is her right?) though.

It's a Scarlett body; the head is from Lady Jaye. To me the short hair calls to mind April's hair from the '80s cartoon. I'd considered painting a yellow outfit for her, but notwithstanding my tendency to avoid painting, I also find such slavish loyalty to old designs to be rather tiresome.
