Hey friends! Just wanted to share my current custom Im working on. Can you guys guess who it is? heh.

The base is from a Doctor Octopus figure. The legs are from a beast wars Transformer and the head is being sculpted from scratch.

I'll upload some pics as the figure moves along. Thanks for checking it out!! Kev

Pretty obvious that's supposed to be Baxter Stockman in fly form.

I think Baxter only had a Master's degree, not a doctorate.

Good work though. I've seen similar recipes that have turned out well so no doubt this one will. Cool idea with the Beast Wars legs. What are you planning to do for the wings and extra arms?

@ TVvsRobLowe.. This is actually my original recipe. If youve seen this before youre referring to toyguru on figurerealm. That guy is my best friend, Angelo. I gave him the recipe after I came up with it while playing with his Doctor Octopus. He asked me if it was ok to run with my idea and I gave him the ok. This is all me baby!! I was busy with other stuff so he got to finish his first. The wings are going to be made from scratch with styrene and the arms are also going to be sculpted from scratch.

@Vaugn Michael, Im sculpting with aves Apoxie sculpt.. Great stuff!! and highly recomended. Just make sure you get the smoothing disolvent when you order.

I guess that must have been it, although I've never been to FigureRealm, maybe I seen it at Fwoosh or something. I'm probably remembering the jacket on and off as two different figures.

Either way, it's a solid base. I have a spare ML Ock that I might use when I get to mine. He's small enough in the cartoon that a smaller sized 6 incher fits in with the Classics. Shoot, I probably have this Ock somewhere too, I can't think of ever using it for a custom. I'd steal his forearms and plop it on the super articulated body.

Hey drone domes! Today has been a gorgeous sunny day here in the north east with a high of 77 degrees. Ive been waiting for a day like today to put a coat of primer on this custom. His extra pair of (fly) arms are primed too but I'm letting everything cure up in the nice warm sun for a few hours before I handle anything. His wings sculpt are finished as well so maybe later this evening I'll take another WIP pic before the final painting. Untill then enjoy this pic! Thanks!
