This guy usually has tons of TMNT stuff, all case fresh from unopened factory sealed cases. He has lots of stuff that used to be stored in warehouses and never saw the light of day til now. I bought some ooze from this guy too, and I was really happy with what I got. Especially sine these are the original '89 release, and not the reissues. I opened up one of the extras I got, and the stuff is still good as new! I love this stuff...partly because Playmates made so many toys that could be used with the ooze. Good times...

It says it plays on all DVD plaers, icluding PS2 and Xbox.
Quiller-Bee
07-11-2003, 05:42 PM
Yup, it does. It most likely will work just fine. I've bought a few “all-region/region-free” Japanese DVD's in the past and have had no problems thus far.
Besides, the seller is an eBay “PowerSeller” who currently has 3,000+ completed transactions, in addition to having 99.5% positive user-feedback. I could be wrong, of course, but I doubt that a seller of that status would risk their good standing with eBay or their solid feedback rating to sling a few DVD's that won't work on US DVD players.
Anyway, I'm all over this one.
tmntman
07-19-2003, 03:54 PM
For those who are curious. I bought a copy of the DVD. The quality isn't great but it does have English subtitles which is nice. It also has a couple of toy commercials on the end as well. It plays fine on my computer which is set up for Region 1. I haven't tried it in my stand alone player yet.
For those who would prefer to save the cash, the same episodes can be downloaded from the link below.

Funny thing is, another one was sold not long after for just $21. But still, that's a lot for a figure that is only a year old. I mean, I don't even see the rarest Mattel Batman fig go for that much. I had one MOC, and opened it. Now I'm going to puke...

i never figured out why, but the answer is yes. I don't think Scratch was ever in the toon, I think he was a playmates created character. I've seen him go for more than that before. I saw one loose with no accesories go for almost $40.00. Way too much for me for a turtle who wasn't even in the show. He did appear in TMNT 3, The Radical Rescue for Gameboy as the boss of the first level.

no, that figure has always been pretty rare, and there has always been that "differen't coin" thing. I guess some are silver some are gold w/e who cares
It makes me wish I didn't open my Sumo mikey back in the day... but hey I was a kid and back then toys were meant to be opened.
Funny story about sumo figures though, I lived in St. Louis and I always went to Target n' stuff to get tmnt figures etc... and sometimes I would come across the metal mutants and the vampire turtles (these were the figures that collectors want because it was at the end of the line and people weren't buying tmnt anymore). I passed on the vampire don but got vampire leo, I went back 2 days later and vampire don was gone never to be seen again. We visited chicago later that year and I got sumo mikey but never did I see the sumo figures in st. louis. I never saw the figures I got in St. Louis in chicago too. Kinda weird, it always made me wonder if I traveled the country would I have ended up with a scratch or hotspot? :p

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I figured this would be the place to post it. They are showing up in CA already so the rest of us shouldn't have to wait too long. From what I've seen there is Silver Sentry, Triceraton Warrior, General Mozar, Fugitoid, Multi Arm Shredder and Guardian Ninja in this wave. Here is the URL. I can't seem to figure out how to put the direct link in here. I will put two URLs with two different sellers. Just check out their other items for the other figures. Take care!

(Everything is MIB/MOC... mint in box/mint on card)
A boxed Footcruiser (this thing: http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/1989/cruiser.jpg ) for $7.49!!!! Never before opened or anything. The best part is the box is so freaking big that they had to ship it in its own seperate box whereas all the figures below they could fit in the same exact box and still had space :o
April O'neil (blue stripe) $2.50
Baxter Stockman $4.99
General Tragg $3.24
Ray Fillet $3.74
Scumbug $3.25
Tattoo $3.74
Venus $2.24
All four ninja turtles pins $4
Leonardo Watch (remember these, mine kept breaking back in the day so I'd have to go back and get a new one, it has the little turtle on the top and flips up to show a digital clock) $2.49
I also got a bunch of comics and it added up to $65.12, the best part is any order over $50 gets free shipping so I didn't have to pay shipping for the huge ass footcruiser. These were all figures that I wanted but didn't want to pay anything over $5 for moc, luckily I didn't have to! These are prices I would expect from loose figures, but MOC? This is insane! Actually, that's a great deal for them, what a bargain. Brand New. You're one Lucky dude, winning all four in ONE auction. WOW. Those are like the four most popular sets too. I wish I was in your shoes, even though I have them.
Sorry for the DP but i had to share in my happiness...
I received the sets from above (previous auction win (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5987168226&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1))....The lair, technodrome, party wagon, and mutant module all MIB in one lot..all perfect...well I turned around and sold the Module since I had that one already...and it sold for $72!!..so if I detract that from my total cost that I paid for original lot including shipping, I only paid $22.60 each for the Lair, Tech, and Party Wagon MIB!!! I think thats a great deal!! :D :D
Here's the auction I sold last night...

Well I just paid $40 for a moc pop up display Leonardo, I really regret it but it looked sooooo nice.
Edit: I hope I didn't outbid anyone because if I did... WHY THE HECK WAS YOUR RESERVE PRICE AT $30! I had to pay an extra $15 more than what pop up Mikey sold for :p

I feel this one was worth the price. They described it as C9.5+ and it really looks it. Plus the fact that they have the original shipping case means it probably never saw shelf time even. I think it was worth it.

I just got Leo in the mail today, the card condition is the best I've ever seen. I can't believe it, I bet if I sent it to the AFA they'd give me the perfect score for it. I might actually do it, just for this figure. He's totally worth it, and since I got him so cheap I can afford to pay the AFA price and not feel bad about wasting money as it'd probably even out.
The seller bubble wrapped it and put it in a shoebox, so there was no way he was going to get damaged in shipping. I highly recommend this seller as it seems he's just a regular dude, not some power seller, and he actually cares about his customers since he probably only has to deal with a couple at a time.

Man, turtle collecting is starting to get too expensive. I remember when you could find MOC figures on eBay for like $3 each, now it seems all the prices are going up. The Party Wagon used to go for like $30-50, now it seems it's gone up to:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6053591087&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
I'm done with eBay, too many turtle collectors getting on there. I'm gonna start hitting up toy shows and comic conventions.
Still I wonder how that guy just "found" a case of Party Wagons? He's in my area, I should try and find out if some warehouse has all turtle toys. Talk about a dream come true if that happened.

I would be wary of buying stuff from the woman who sold that Blimp: I gave her two positive feedbacks for the two Universal Studios TMNTs that I bought from her, because I DID get them, but it took longer than I expected. She charged me $8.00 to ship something that only cost $4.00 to ship, and then I didn't get it for nearly a week and a half after my paypal payment cleared. If anyone wants to know what I think sucks most about e-bay, PM me.

I think part of that cost is driving to the post office, packageing it, and shipping it.

Yeah but why should the buyer be paying for their gas? What next, I'll pay their bills too?
Some guy had the nerve to charge me $10 shipping for 2 gi joes. I wouldn't have won the auction had I known he would charge me so much. They charge higher shipping because eBay doesn't take a cut out of the shipping cost. That's why you see auctions with penny buy-it-nows and $80 shipping or something stupid like that.
Krang's Uncle
06-02-2006, 05:18 PM
I agree with you Ectocooler, i shouldnt (and dont) pay for the other expenses related to the selling of that item. I dont recall reading anything on ebay that says i have to pay for the seller deciding to sell something. They make that choice, and therefore are responsible for whatever extra costs may arise. If thats the case, would the sellers that do that be against a winning bidder not paying the full winning amount? The bidder has to buy gas to get to work.
TMNTerminator
06-02-2006, 06:16 PM
Well thats why you should ALWAYS be aware of shipping costs prior to shipping. I've been buying tmnt on ebay going on 6 years now and have only been truly shafted one time...i bought 1 skinny, light animation cel and the guy try to charge me $18!! That was a few years ago but i still remember that crap...fortunately if you deal with reputable dealers and check for the shipping price you should be ok...sure that might mean on passing on something you really like cuz you dont know the shipping/don't want to pay, but trust me, whatever it is you're looking, will ALWAYS come back again...just be patient

Even though it costs more, ebay is my friend when it comes to getting cool action figures. I wasn't able to find the 4 basic Fast Forward turtles, so I bought them on ebay. I also decided to buy another Fast Forward Splinter off of ebay, since my first Fast Forward Splinter's arm broke inside.
Then today my Baxter Robot arrived in the mail.:D He is such a great figure.:) I had to pay more than if I bought him in the store, but he might not be that easy to find. Plus, with Fast Forward taking over, the 2k3 toon figures will probably be a thing of the past soon.

I actually just bought my first Marvel Legends figure recently. Im not going to grab much from the line though, just my favorites and nothing more.
Leonardo Mystic, the Turtles look weird. I didnt read the auction, i just looked at the photos but it would be interesting to see where those things came from. They seem Conanish to me. I wouldnt buy something like that, but to someone that enjoys bootlegs those might be golden.
After 72 good transactions on ebay, i just ran into my first ass hole seller. Sent me a figure that is not as described and is now unwilling to respond to my emails. It just sucks that now im probably going to get a negative mark in retailiaton for the one i give them. Sellers should be obligated to give feedback first, as the buyer is only responsible for paying for the item in the time frame that is stated in the auction.

I wouldn't go that far and the four horsemen are wicked nice guys I met them ladt year at the sandiago comicon.
I also like that he sculpted his own head.
I don't think I realized how frickin' huge the 2K3 designs were until I got used to the movie look and then reallyreally liked the movie look. Now it kinda bothers me when watching 2K3.
These are my favorite customs ever
Yeah didn't Michael Dooney do the designs for the 2k3 basic character designs? I mean look at his turtles haven't they always been like that?
Mirage, Next Mutation designs, 2k3, & FF
yeah they're nice but they're pretty much just repaints.
I'm also not a fan of the movie heads that and the larger size of the turtles making them as big if not bigger than characters that should be bigger than them bothers a stickler for size acurate figures like me.
That why I passed on the new movie turtles I like my turtles shorter.
You know btw it's so nice to be able to talk about things like adults even if we don't agree on things. :)

The thing about Dooney though is that he's extremely flexible with his style.
Here's some of the movie figure design art, which while it doesn't have his signature on it I'm pretty sure comes from him. He can do lean Turtles, too.

No, I haven't asked him, but there are certain elements that strike me as Dooney-esque and he has a history of working with Playmates. It's just my hunch, though.

it's nuts it makes me want to start making customs and selling them but I only really like making characters I know we'll never get hence why I made titanus first which btw is almost finally done i've been having some health issues that had to be taken care of.

Oh I know he has he's created allot of awsome things which helps him be one of my favorite mirage artists! I'd just like to know for sure but he's never responded to a single e-mail i've sent him on his site. *shruggs*

Hockey playing tmnt... do they go to some sort of game? I've heard of remco before, so these aren't bootlegs... at least most likely aren't.

Another big foot figure! Although I'm wondering why a certain fellow TMNT fan is also bidding on this one who has so many big foots already and sells them on ebay. It's not really fair towards fans like me who live in a different country then the US and cannot participate in the sweepstakes to get a big foot figure. That's not giving other people a fair chance who would like to own a big foot.
