Wonder Why i have not heard ofthem before now. Must not have been looking.
Well I hope to be active!
06-01-2002, 06:50 AM
Welcome aboard. Hope to see ya around. Just look for the lady with the sabres.
Hiya, and welcome. Azure will be by with your mango (don't ask, it's like a weird fetish-thing he has) momentarily.
06-01-2002, 03:39 PM
Hey Mike! Welcome! Watch out for some of Azure's mango's. They may give you short term powers, like Mario's mushrooms!
06-01-2002, 04:00 PM
...Wierd fetish thing...
Yeah... greetings, new Techno Member.
06-01-2002, 04:07 PM
*whispers* Maybe he should have put 'mango fetishist' under those pretty blue stars....
06-01-2002, 06:01 PM
*looks up* Azure's mangos give people powers?
*thinks for a moment* Azure! Can I talk to you for a moment?
06-01-2002, 06:17 PM
*chuckles* Be careful, Samantha. Even we don't always know what those mangoes will do to someone.
And even if they do give you a good power (which is rare, most of the time it's a weird power no one wants) it's only temporary. You don't want to be given the power of flight only to have it cut out on you five hundred feet up.
Is it just me, or do we have a lot of "Mike"s around here?
06-01-2002, 06:47 PM
*considers* Hmm, I think maybe it's a little of both.
06-01-2002, 07:45 PM
*baps everyone for making fun of his glorious mangoes*
Heya Mike! I already gave you a warm welcome in another thread, but that was before I saw this one. :embarass: Anywho, welcome once again! And here, you can have another mango.
*whispers to Mike*
Don't share it with the others. They're just jealous
06-01-2002, 07:47 PM
*glares at Azure, then smiles* One Light Spell coming right up.
*snaps fingers twice, then waits*
06-01-2002, 08:18 PM
The welcome mangoes have powers?
Gah why didn't I keep mine!?!
Amanda *feeling very nauseas at the moment and considers curling up on the couch to watch the Gargoyles eps she taped last night*
Ooh, which ep?
*reconsiders her priorities* I'm so sorry you feel sick, Amanda. *whispers* The powers aren't really worth it anyway, you probably would have ended up with the power to talk to sawdust or something.
06-01-2002, 08:28 PM
*glances at Amanda* I've got some medicine for that sort of thing if you need any. It tastes a little funky, but it's not too bad.
06-01-2002, 08:33 PM
*glares at Kali*
I'll have you know that talking to sawdust is quite entertaining.
*takes out a little baggy of sawdust from his shell and starts whispering to it*
Don't worry, Martin. She doesn't mean it...
06-01-2002, 08:36 PM
*smiles briefly as Azure's shell starts blinking: Mango Guy! in neon red and green across the back*
Hmm, not too bad. Enjoy. *disappears*

*snickers and leaves the thread before she bursts of laughing*
06-01-2002, 09:20 PM
*stares at Azure* Okaay. Hope you feel better Amanda! Actually I would like to start falling five thousand feet in the air. That way Azure would feel gulity and have to save me from certain doom. Now what did I do with my welcome mango?
06-01-2002, 11:18 PM
Blasted cold. Bah! I hate being sick.
*notices something odd*
Martin! Why are you laughing? What's so funny? What's that?
*puts the baggy of sawdust up to his ear*
There's writing on my back?! Grr...curse the luck.
*decides to use his power and gets a mop out of nowhere and starts to viciously wipe his shell*
Honestly, Martin, don't people have anything better to do than pick on me? At least I know I can trust you. Thanks for telling me.
Where'd I put my hanky?
*puts the baggy of sawdust near his ear again*
Of course! How could I forget that?
*takes out his hanky from his belt*
C'mon, Martin, let's get out of here before something else terrible happens.
*exits the thread*
06-02-2002, 05:42 AM
I hope you're feeling better Amanda!
You don't sound too good either, Azure. You should have one of your mangos of healing..
06-02-2002, 06:20 AM
HIIIIII MIIIIIKE!! ooooh, you have a mango!! did it give you powers?
06-02-2002, 06:52 AM
*reappears, in robot form* Jeez, I hate it when they want to do things the hard way. Hey, if any of you guys see a big metal cat creature running around here, keep your distance and tell me.
06-02-2002, 01:53 PM
I saw it!! It went thataway! *points* ..it was chasing a metal mouse...
..Fierce lookin thing...
06-02-2002, 02:58 PM
Ravage chasing a mouse? There's a new one. Well, thanks. I think. Just remember, keep clear of him. That thing is not a pet.
*draws sabres and chases after Decepticon feline*
06-02-2002, 03:42 PM
*big question mark appears over head* metal cat? who's ravage?
06-02-2002, 03:58 PM
*glares about, looking for her target* Ravage, a metallic feline that's a Decepticon and my latest target. He's about the size of a Clydesdale and meaner than an angry rattlesnake.
06-02-2002, 05:18 PM
I know, a mango of healing would be helpful right about now. I did get twelve hours of sleep last night!
*does a tame rendition of the happy dance*
So I do feel better, but I'm still coughing and sneezing.
I hate being sick.
A giant cat, eh? Well, if it comes my way, I'll be sure to sneeze on it.
06-02-2002, 06:15 PM
Nice thought, but you do that, Azure, and we'll no longer have a blue Turtle around here. We'll just have a shell and a torn face mask.
06-02-2002, 07:51 PM
Hmm...well, considering that my sneezes seem to be ten times stronger than the giant fan, I wouldn't be surprised if the thing flew out of here.
Blast...time to get another hanky.
06-02-2002, 07:53 PM
*sighs, snapping her fingers and a hanky appears* Here, take this one. And if you do sneeze on Ravage, just tell me what direction he flies in. I don't catch that cat, I don't get paid.
06-02-2002, 08:09 PM
*takes the hanky from Enigma with gratitude*
Thanks! I'll be sure to let you know if I see it.
06-02-2002, 08:10 PM
*nods, then goes on the hunt again*
06-03-2002, 03:22 AM
Ravage was one of Soundwave's cassettes, wasn't he? Along with a bird I don't remember the name of. I always thought Ravage was a dog! :ohwell:
06-03-2002, 05:49 AM
*bounces in* me had my coffee this morning, with too much sugar in it and it just kicked in!! *bounces off, bumping into things*
06-03-2002, 06:38 AM
Cat, dog. At this point, I really don't care. All I know is that I'm being paid a bundle to track that thing down and bring it back. And that's what I'm gonna do.
06-03-2002, 11:10 AM
:blanksta: ...eh... Azure, I think Enigma is right. You need help!
06-03-2002, 12:31 PM
*dodges TC as she bounces off of the walls*
Gee, thanks a lot, HT! Don't make me sneeze on you!
06-03-2002, 06:28 PM
Hmm, nice to know that someone finally agrees with me. *looks around for Ravage* Dang, I could have sworn he came here.
06-03-2002, 08:01 PM
*decides to leave this one, before she gets whatever Azure and Amandatello has*
Hopw you's gets bettah!
06-03-2002, 08:07 PM
Why do you think I'm staying in robot form, HT? Since I don't breath, I can't catch any germs.
06-03-2002, 08:34 PM
LOL! Thanks, HT! I'm feeling a lot better than I did during the weekend. I think I should be back to my old self tomorrow...I hope.
06-03-2002, 08:35 PM
Take a good dose of brine and get some rest. That'll clear you up in no time.
06-03-2002, 08:49 PM
And some hot Korean fish soup seasoned garlic, ginger, and red chili paste! Does wonders for the sinuses.
06-03-2002, 08:51 PM
Never tried Korean, just the brine. Wonder how well they would work together.
06-03-2002, 08:52 PM
Hey, that sounds tasty!
I'm okay right now...I just took some Tynenol Cold, and it just began to work its magic.
06-03-2002, 08:54 PM
In short, you feel like crud and you're drowzy, right?
06-03-2002, 08:55 PM
Uh, actually, I'm feeling a lot better.
*taps the box*
It's the non-drowsy type. :anime:
06-03-2002, 08:58 PM
Lucky you. All we ever have is the drowzy type and if I take it, I end up feeling like crud.
You're lucky Azure, even the non-drowsy type makes me feel totally out of it.
06-03-2002, 09:03 PM
Really? Huh...that's weird. As long as the box says non-drowsy, I'm okay.
06-03-2002, 09:04 PM
Hmm. Must be your body chemistry.
*nods* Most medicines really screw me up. They work, but I get serious side effects. *shakes her head* Haven't found anything that agrees with me.
06-03-2002, 09:17 PM
Only thing that works for me is sleep. The more I get, the better I feel.
06-03-2002, 09:27 PM
Hmm...I only get drowsy when I take medication that induces drowsiness, like Benadryl. I remember when you were sick that one time, Kali. You were really out of it!
06-03-2002, 09:29 PM
Hmm. Remind me never to hang around you guys when I'm sick. I'd really make a fool of myself then.
I know, I was being nice and cuddly and everything! Allergy season is the worst, though, but luckily I don't go outside much.
06-03-2002, 09:38 PM
True on that. I've got it bad that time of year and... Well, I don't think I'll tell that one.
Oops, g2g. Later. *disappears*
06-03-2002, 09:38 PM
I only get allergies if it's a really windy day. I'm alergic to pollen, but only when there are large doses of it in the air.
06-04-2002, 07:17 PM
*nods* Yup. You know, I always found that chicken soup actually does make me feel better when I'm sick (probably because I usually get a sore throat whenever I get a cold) Anyway, how are you feeling Azure?Even though I'm a little late..*gets Azure a bowl of chicken soup with mangos shaped like stars*
06-04-2002, 07:21 PM
*stares in amazement at the soup*
Wow, I've never had soup like that before. Thanks! :anime: Actually, I'm feeling ten times better! I should be back to my old self by tomorrow. I've stopped sneezing and coughing, but I'm still getting a case of the sniffles every now and then. Hopefully that'll go away soon.
06-04-2002, 07:39 PM
*pats Azure on the head* No problem what are friends for? Now drink up!!
Oddly enough, chicken soup makes me sick.
06-04-2002, 08:18 PM
What exactly happens when you eat chicken soup? *hopes Azure won't have the same problems*
06-04-2002, 08:18 PM
Hmm, that's definately a first for me.
*shifts her eyes* Well, let's just say it doesn't get along with my digestive system. It may just be the store brand condensed soup my mom buys, though.
06-04-2002, 08:26 PM
Hey, I can understand. There are...certain vegies that don't agree with me that well either and I usually try to avoid them.
06-04-2002, 10:26 PM
How weird...I like chicken soup, and it actually helps me whenever I've got a cold. Perhaps I've got a strong stomach...
06-04-2002, 11:02 PM
*shrugs* Mayhaps, I'm the same way. Glad your feeling better Azure!!
06-04-2002, 11:05 PM
*does the happy dance*
06-04-2002, 11:08 PM
*tries to do the happy dance as well* More should definatly participate in this. It's fun!!
06-05-2002, 12:14 AM
Of course! :anime:
06-05-2002, 04:41 PM
*enters, still hunting Ravage* Nice to hear you're feeling better, Azure. You haven't seen that cat anywhere lately, have you?
06-05-2002, 04:48 PM
Nope. I guess I won't be able to sneeze on him now...
06-05-2002, 04:59 PM
Too bad. Hey, do you guys know anyone around here who wants a pet? I just got a few more than I was expecting yesterday.
06-05-2002, 09:36 PM
LOL! I'd love a little wee kitty. But my parents don't like pets (first thing to do in college: buy little witty kitty cat)
06-05-2002, 10:00 PM
LOL! Well, if you're living in the dorms, pets are probably not allowed. The only kind of pets we're allowed to have in our rooms are fish...Betas (or Siamese Fighting Fish), to be exact. I've always wanted a dog, but my dad's allergic to them. That's another thing I plan on getting once I move out of the house...I'm gonna get a dog!
06-06-2002, 05:28 AM
Be warned, both of you. I have had many dogs and cats throughout my life. They're great companions, but they are a LOT of work.
06-06-2002, 10:20 AM
Aww.. they're nuttin' compared to a horse (or many horses, that is).
I didn't have many dogs and cats in my life cause my mom was allergic. But then, one of the ladies I worked for ended up being allergic to horses as she got older. So she hired us to take care of them all for her. (that must suck though... becoming allergic to the ctriiters you love).
Good thing I'm just allergic to corn syrup, some pollens, penicillin, and cigarette smoke!
06-06-2002, 12:57 PM
Hey, I know pets can be a lot of work. Almost all of my cousins have had pets at one point or another, and I saw (and heard) the things they had to go through to keep their pet healthy and happy. I'm ready and willing to go through all of that. I just need to find a place of my own before I get any kind of animal.
06-06-2002, 01:15 PM
Well I'd love pets, but I can't have a dog as it'll be alone all day, and we can't have a cat as we live in a flat and it has nowhere to go.
Still trying to talk my boyfriend into a pet rat, as I had one as a kid and they're so friendly and intelligent.
06-06-2002, 02:13 PM
Oh yeah.. rees are sooo cute. I may get another too, like after we get a house. We don't have a dog or a cat for the same reasons Loolaa. Just the turtle, since she's so low maintenance.
06-06-2002, 05:18 PM
LOL! Y'mean you don't pamper little Padugi?? :goof:
06-06-2002, 05:30 PM
She doesn't like much attention (heh.. kinda like you, Azure!)
Though, when we do get a house, i like to make a sort of outdoor pen for her to roam in. All last week she was literally bouncing off the glass walls of her cage cause the heat n humidty was making her hyper. Spring fever, I guess!
06-06-2002, 05:34 PM
Yep, we turtles are pretty similar.
Spring fever? Hmm...poor Padugi. I'm sure she'll enjoy that outdoor pen.
06-06-2002, 06:11 PM
Well, I'm stuck with 2 dogs and a bird. The old one, Jack, is my baby, but the bird, Sunny, you have no idea how much I want to strangle that pain sometimes.
06-06-2002, 07:37 PM
i got 2 turtles. had 3. named them after the ninja turtles. i wanted 4 but i wasn't allowed.
my turtles r now vicous cause i feed them a lot of live meals such as crayfish and fish.
i'm suppose to move them to a bigger aquarium but setting it up takes sooo much work. pets r boring to take care of but hey, its life and they r turtles.
06-06-2002, 07:48 PM
Unless it has fur or feathers, they're not allowed around my house. My mom really freaks out at the sight of reptiles and bugs. Why, I have no clue.
06-07-2002, 12:06 AM
My cousin has a corn snake...it's actually pretty mellow. I got to hold him once, and he just sat in my hands, flicking his tongue out every now and then. I don't normally like snakes, but this one is pretty cool.
06-07-2002, 05:43 AM
I like snakes. i once volunteered at this museum which has three boa constrictors. they were very well-behaved and good-natured and, believe it or not, they liked to cuddle with humans, to share the body heat! as for pets, i've got a paranoid-schitzophrenic cat and a neurally challenged hyperactive sheltie dog... yeah, life's hardly ever dull around here!
06-07-2002, 06:08 AM
A friend of mine has a lot of pets. Snakes, gerbils, dogs, cats, an iguana, turtles, fish, one of which believes its Jaws, and a couple of crayfish.
06-07-2002, 08:26 AM
an iguana? coooool!
06-07-2002, 09:02 AM
She had three, but they gave 1 away and the other died.
06-07-2002, 09:19 AM
Oh.. I would love an iguana!!!!
I like snakes too, a friend of mine was pet-sitting a python and I got to hold her. She was gorgeous, and had such a cute face.
But when she coiled around my arm I thought she'd cut off my circulation! :sweatdro:
We've had a couple pet snakes. A king snake, and then later a gopher snake. I love snakes, I think they're so cool, and make good pets, as long as they aren't too big or venomious.
06-07-2002, 02:05 PM
Heh.. yeah, snakes in lizards are neat too. Sometimes when we're bored, my freind and I will go to the big pet store and looka t all their exotic (and expensive!) reptiles and fishies. Maybe later in life I like to get an iguna too. I wonder if Padugi will get along with it?
Funny thing, back when I used to have gerbils, I had an aunt who was scared of them. Whenever we invited her over for dinner at our house, I had to hide the gerbil aquariums in my bedroom (we normally kept them in the living room since they get sooo noisy at night).
06-07-2002, 02:09 PM
 My grandad was the same with my mice... he was scared incase they escaped and he encountered one!
I don't know why he was so scared...!
06-07-2002, 02:12 PM
heee.. maybe he was afraid they would get into the food?
06-07-2002, 03:57 PM
Ewww...I would hate to have mice in my food. Hmm...I have an aquarium, too. I like fish...they're so relaxing to watch.
Hey, if you have snakes, mice ARE food.
06-07-2002, 04:05 PM
I'm well aware of that. I don't have any snakes. The snake I was talking to belongs to my cousin. I don't think I could handle feeding mice to a snake, so I'd rather have a dog for a pet.
Oh, we loved feeding our snakes. My brothers and I would line up in front of the cage to watch. It totally freaked out my mom though.
Eh, mice aren't so bad, we had some once, and they weren't pets. I loved chasing and catching them.
06-07-2002, 05:57 PM
*makes note to call Kali the next time a gerbil gets loose* Those critters are such a pain to catch. Especially if I grabbed them wrong and they bite out of self defense. Or if I get the tip of the tail, the fur tuft rips off! Ack!
Rats.. rats are such a piece of cake. Just sit on the floor with some food for them, and they come right to ya!
Hmm, I've never gotta bitten by any of the mice I caught. I got bit by my snake once, and by a hamster.
My friend loves rats, she's had several as pets, and will probably get at least one when we move.
06-07-2002, 08:18 PM
The funny thing, my college roomie would buy young rats with the intent to save them from becoming snake food!
06-07-2002, 09:52 PM
How weird. I've never had any rodents for pets. I used to have a pair of birds, but I don't remember what species they were.
06-08-2002, 12:55 AM
I couldn't feed mice or rats to a snake, because I've had so many as pets, I think of them as little friends, not snake food.
I guess I'll never get a snake, then. Oh.. hang on .. what do iguana's eat....?
06-08-2002, 12:59 AM
I think iguanas eat bugs. Crickets, most likely...though I think some iguanas eat foliage, too. We'll have to wait for one of our resident animal experts to answer that one
06-08-2002, 08:37 AM
Hehe... same reason I prefer an iguana. I like snakes, but I also like rodents, so that may not work out too well. (unless it's a barn snake, catching the wild mice eating up the horse grain!)
06-09-2002, 03:06 PM
*snorts* There's been many a time when I've been tempted to turn a certain featherhead into snake food.
