A customized version of the original 1988 Bebop action figure, based on the original toon. Used a hobby knife to cut some parts that weren't needed and used Aves Apoxie Sculpt and Kneadatite Green Stuff to resculpt a lot of the details, and then repainted the entire figure. Rather than try to explain each change that was made, I have included a work in progress pic from right before I painted it to show what changes were made as well as a side by side comparison pic with the un-altered figure. Blaster is from 1990 Triceraton figure because it looks like the blaster that Bebop used on s1e2 "Enter The Shredder", and painted it as well. Look out for Rocksteady, coming soon!

Edit 9/12/13: I made one more change, I decided to sculpt new shoelaces to match the toon better. Re-shot new pics to reflect this change.

Of course your detail is amazing TurtleManiac. ;):) With the bone necklace, the corresponding color selection, the grenades on the red vest, even down to the shoe laces and pants pockets! As Zarana-X pointed out, it's good to see Bebop's front top incisors corrected.

The only thing that seems a bit off, but I know you couldn't do anything about it (because of how the original was), is the size of Bebop's head. Particularly, the snout and jaw are too prominent than compared to the cartoon images of him, then again maybe its just the camera perspective.

Besides this very, very minute thing, your customs are always great stuff! :)

That's great, the side-by-side comparison really shows how much work must have gone into it

Thanks everyone for the kind words! After seeing this custom in pics I realized there was one thing I missed, I went back and re-sculpted new shoelaces to better match the cartoon model. They seem to be more of a linear design. Then repainted the shoes again. I have replaced all the pics in the first post with new ones to reflect this change.

Very nice work

Thanks!

Lovely! your collection is conning along nicely :)

Thanks! It is indeed slowly coming along!

Such lovely creation. Well done.

Thanks!

Awsome work dude!!! I'm guessin Rocksteady next? :P

Thanks! Yup Rocksteady is next on the list!

Thanks! Eventually the group shot shall be much larger than that!

NIce work. The rabbit teeth on the original always bothered me.

Thanks! Same here I never understood why they gave this figure buckteeth!

Wow. Your custom figures are better than the official ones! Really nice job.

Thanks! I just try to make them toon accurate as best I can!

ah! i always love your stuff!

Thanks! I can't wait to see how your Classics style Bebop&Rocksteady turns out!

Very nice! I hope we see Rocksteady next!

Thanks! Yup Rocksteady is definitely my next project!

Thanks! Funny you mention the shoelaces, I actually ended up re-doing them, first I just repainted the shoelaces but I went back and sculpted new ones because on the cartoon model they seem to be more of a linear design. And I know what you mean about the head. I probably would have had to sculpt an all new head to make it look more like the toon. Also the figure was in an awkward hunchback type of pose. I briefly considered elevating the head a little bit, but I didn't wanna mess with the proportions/scale of the vintage figures. Thanks for the kind words!

That's great, the side-by-side comparison really shows how much work must have gone into it

Thanks! I aways enjoy putting customs next to their original unaltered base figures to show the differences!

Really really awesome!

Thanks!

Can I have it? Just kidding....but this is very good. I'm sure any 'Dromer looking at this wants one.

Thanks! Haha sure, if I ever figure out a way to mass produce it you can certainly have one! Thanks for the kind words!

Man that is one clean custom. I wish you separated the pieces, made molds out of them, and then did resin casts. These would sell like hotcakes. You could even team up with someone on the board to do the packaging. Great work.
