I'm gonna say next year. Some of the animations I saw for Gambit, Elektra and Deadpool would work well for Donnie, Raph, and Leo.

This could totally happen. The one thing I think LEGO games are missing....four-player. TMNT could bring this.

Exactly. The TMNT could bring something actually new (for once :O) to the LEGO series.

A couple of years ago, I would have thought it to be inevitable. Now... I'm not 100% sure. They've got so many properties now... but then again look at what they've done recently.

TMNT would make a way better Lego game than Indiana Jones. And that's not a knock on Indy.

Well Lego Marvel has a open world Lego NYC. So they already have the base for a turtle game.

Leo656

The idea has some potential, but I'm not sure it would do that well regardless of quality. I think the market's been saturated with Lego games, most of which are decent but all pretty similar.

Zulithe

Would love to see it happen. Even if it stuck very close to the LEGO game format we're all so familiar with by now, it would *still* make it one of the beset TMNT games ever :P

Was that criticism of past TMNT games or unabashed praise for TT's LEGO games? You'll have to decide that for yourself. ;)

Even for those who hate TT's LEGO games, you'd have to admit that the newer ones such as LotR and Batman 2 have made some nice improvements. LEGO Marvel looks even better!

Come on... open world TMNT-themed NYC? open world SEWER!? All the playable character possibilities? Music and voices from the Nick show? It would be tons of fun.

I'm sure it's on their radar if not already in development... best thing you can do to help ensure it happens is support the physical LEGO TMNT sets. Do it, cause they are awesome.

Totally.
I actually wanted that original trilogy Star Wars game for a long time too.

I do <3 the Lego Star Wars and Batman games, not gonna lie. That's why I think a TMNT Lego game *could* be very fun, but would likely get lost amidst a glut of similar-looking product. You could probably find Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga used for like $15. I was just playing that recently, there's actually a lot to keep one busy.

I'd ask why not, but I have a feeling I already know the answer, and I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with your general bad habit of prejudging things without checking 'em out yourself...

Snark aside, Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman are really good.

Yeah, if I was still a teenager I probably would have gotten into them, but by the time they started coming out I was already in College and now I just don't have the time since I'd rather play other games.

Bit of a shame, but oh well. I would get a Lego TMNT game though in a heartbeat, only because its TMNT.

not going to happen anytime soon.. after Marvel, I'm guessing the Lego Movie video game will probably be next, in time for the movie.. maybe after that they might do a TMNT game.

With all the games LEGO has brought out, the quality still hasn't dropped. I played almost all of them (except PotC). In fact, most of the recent ones are better than the old ones.
So a LEGO TMNT game would sure be welcome. It'd be awesome to play a new TMNT game that's actually fun to play for a change.

Still, even though LEGO released TMNT toy sets- that doesn't necessarily mean they would eventually make a game.
Spongebob Squarepants, Prince of Persia, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Lone Ranger have all had LEGO sets produced but never had their own LEGO video game.

Let's keep our fingers crossed...

LEGO TMNT game would be such a smart move for them since they could reuse a lot of assets from LEGO Marvel :P

Though personally I think they should focus a lot more on the sewer or dimension x etc. than the city overworld to help set it apart from LEGO Marvel and LEGO Batman 2 (both that had open world cities, so it's kinda old hat now)

Anyway I don't know about you guys but LEGO Marvel has been pretty fun. These LEGO games keep getting better.

told you guys lego movie game is next! it's coming in Feb.. the box art is floating around the internet.. i hope Mikey will be a playable character in the game, since he is in the movie..

so if the TMNT game is after that, it could be released in time for the movie, since they have tmnt movie sets coming out as well, or it could be a winter 2014 release.

A Lego TMNT game would be fantastic. Oh man how awesome would that be to be able to run around a leog version of New York as the TMNT. The question though is would it be based off of only the Nick Toon or would it incorporate other versions too?

Probably just Nick, but it could have lots of old characters since Lego games are known to have lots of characters (the Harry Potter 5-7 one had 200) it would probably just be season 1 for the story
(Pretty off topic, but the Hobbit game is only going to have the first two movies. Booooooooooooo)

Yeah, for a Lego TMNT game to have a roster comparable to the other entries, it'd have to tap into previous incarnations.

A lego tmnt game would be awesome. Nice shout to marvels already administrated concepts and fight styles! But hopefully they'll incorporate smack talking whilst fighting and a hero/ villain story line for a broader cast! Again fingers crossed.:)

Since they're doing Lego sets based on the movie I could see them incorporating that into a Lego TMNT game somehow.

I think if they did one, it would be Nick series. However, there's nothing stopping playable characters from other universes as Lego games can have anywhere between 50-200 characters. I'm thinking City Undercover or Marvel type NYC open world, a big city but also the Lair where you can replay levels and such like the Batcave or the Helicarrier. For story, they could either do levels that follow the plot of the show (maybe 2 eps a level) or make their own story. Would be the first game to have 4-player multiplayer. :tgrin:

Not sure if this is correct, but the TMNT are mentioned as playable characters in a Dutch description I found for the upcoming Lego Movie Game.

Maybe the reason why they couldn't put Michelangelo in the game is cause, Activision currently has the video game rights to TMNT. The Lego games are published by Warner Bros Interactive.
