View Full Version : Favorite Shredder Figure?

Which one is the consensus best among collectors and fans? I know many of them were disappointing for a long time. And it sucks NECA didn't get to release their Mirage comic styled Saki. I'm definitely feeling like 2013 Shredder v2 will be the best. But is there any other differing opinions on the subject?

Seriously though, I don't think there's ever been a truly good Shredder figure. When I was a kid I used the Slice 'N' Dice Shredder as my default, simply 'cause he was the closest to the Mirage look.

I'm hoping the Classics line gives us a decent Shredder, whether it's comic, OT or movie...

^Is that custom made?

I have a special place in my heart for Toon Shredder (OT). After that it will be the SDCC Chrome Shredder (2k12). <3

I'd go with the SDCC chromed Shredder.
I have several versions, especially from the 2K3 shows. Multi arm Shredder comes second.
Afraid to say that the original would always come last. It is quite terrible to be honest.

Yeah, that's the last NECA-style Shredder I made.

Very well made, bravo! :)

If only it's mass produced.

I liked the first 2k3 Shredder they released. Mostly because of all the armor. The OT Shredder was ok but something about a total armored Shredder design just thrills me to no end. I never had any other versions from 2k3 because paying for college always came first. I'm thinking about getting that newer version of 2012 Shredder they're releasing with removable helmet though.

If you look past the odd stance he's in, the classic one isn't that bad.

Even as a kid I found it very odd that he was shirtless.

The no shirt thing was just to showcase how evil he is. Or maybe it's how hot that armor gets, it's never mentioned if the Technodrome has air conditioning.

It's not really a figure; but having my Sideshow Exclusive Shredder is my favorite out of the figurines I have of him .

My favourite would have to be the four armed Shredder from the 4Kids line..

From the vintage line, I always liked Supermutant Shredder, even though he's huge to the regular figures. Second to that, I'd go with Shogun Shredder, or Super Shredder. I've always hated the '88 figure.

My current favorite is probably that new one from the Nick series, which has the removable helmet. I think that should be a necessity for every Shredder figure to have.

armorized shredder from the 2k3 line is by far the best shredder for me with the remobable helmet and chromed armor

For me it's Super Shredder but that could just be a thing because it was when I was a kid. The newest Shredder 2 from the Nick TMNT is pretty awesome as well

but lemme tell you a little story of the kid in the poor 3rd world country that never had a shredder, you see, i had only bootleg turtles, and there wasn't a bootleg shredder, so my first custom attempts were into making shredder - so this holds a very special place, as it is the shredder that i always wanted and what started me sculpting :) (interrestingly enough, i haven't made any customs past shredder and april yet - i do have a huge backlog though)

but discogod's kicks SERIOUS ass

on actual released figures, indeed slice'n'dice always looked very almost there :)

He has no articulation in his arms (as opposed to the first Shredder, who had no articulation in his legs...).

I would have to say Super Shredder based on purely nostalgic reasons. I have the 88 version reissue, the 2k3 MIB, and every version of the 2012 Shredder and I love them all. I just love Shredder period. I even have the Shredder hoodie from Hot Topic so I guess you could say I am my favorite version of Shredder. LOL. For the record I think the 88 is the worst one.

There have been no good Shredder figures have they? A shame. OT never got a good Shredder. Super Shredder I used to love but now he looks a bit silly and like a midget. 2k3 Shredder has terrible articulation. And I can't get over the silly design of the new show Shredder, not to mention the figures so far aren't particularly impressive either, they're just decent. How is the 2007 Shredder? Looks decent from pictures.

My favorite is Slice and Dice Shredder. Unlike the first Shredder figure, Slice and Dice is easy to stand.

I had never seen Toon Shredder before. A bummer that he's just a repaint of the original. What were they thinking with that pose?

I like the original Shredder and think he's perfect for the line he comes from (yes, his stance is odd, but I think that was done so he'd fit in the same packaging as the turtles) and although I don't own one, I always thought the six armed one from the early 2000s was pretty cool looking.

I can agree, and disagree with you. He was a good figure and his trance made him easy to pose. I also think Super Shredder/2007 movie Shredder are best:twink:
