Hello Dear Tmnt Dromers, and welcome back after the inevitable success of the first series of the Universal Studios Monsters Turtles, a second batch of this terryfing monsters came out

Featuring this Time Bride of Frankenstein April, Creature from the Black Lagoon Leonardo, Raph as The Mutant and Invisible Man Michealangelo.

For the ones who loved the first series of the classic monster would be pleased again and if you are among the ones you hate the first series, you probably would hate this one even more.

In my case, I was really happy that we got this second series and loved the fact that because it played a homage to the “bizarre” monsters and Playmates show us again in terms of sculpt why there were the best, perhaps even surpassing the first batch.

As for the carboard art, It wasnīt bad, we got a single illustration for each of this new four monsters, again I would have made the classic unique three illustrations for each one , with a theme background (The Black Lagoon, a Laboratory, etc).

Unlike the first set of Monsters Turtles, this couldnīt glow in the dark but again their accessories got a two colours choice variant and each one came with a Tmnt Collector Card.

Letīs start with the Lady first: April

Bride of Frankenstein April was a great figure (although I never like the yellow jumpsuit ), the sculpt was really nice. I would have made her facial expression a bit scarier. Doesnīt matter cause now Frankenstein Mike is not alone anymore.

The accessories were Electrode Power Switch Creepy Cracked Monster Movie Camera, Bandaged Monster Mic, Scare Away Hair Spray and Nasty Ninja Fright Star

The Second of this second Universal Studios Monsters Turtles Series I would like to show you is Creature from the Black Lagoon Leonardo.

If you still got doubts about Playmates quality work and that it was ahead of its time, take a good look at this jewel, this figure was perfect in every detail, and it was scary and disgusting too.

The accessories were really good and included a Seaweed Katana Blade, Hideous Harpoon Gun and Terror Tearin' Trident.

The third figure of this series is Raphael as The Mutant. This was another awesome figure and the weirdiest of all four. I believe it really sums up the monsters of the bizarre movies. The sculpt, face expression, the huge brain, the veins all was just perfect.

The accessories were a Atomic Double-duty Crab Claw Club, Sub Atomic Thermal Forearm Ray Gun and a Super Atomic Sai.

Finally, the best of all four and my favourite turtle as well: The invisible Man Michaelangelo. The figure concept, the sculpt, the bandages, the suit, the accessories all was just excellent.

The accessories were: Test Tube Nunchakus, Cool Disappearin' Chemistry Kit, Bandage Mask with Goon Goggles

This Second Set of Universal Studios Monsters Turtles never appeared in the original tv show but I said it again, I believe it could have been used in Hallowen Special or in an episode where there īs a curse and the Tmnt transforms into the classic monsters.

I also think this series fell a bit shot, cause they should have made a third series monsters theme figures to complete the set, introducing the villains as Monsters as well

Phantom Of The Opera Shredder

Hunchback Foot Soldier

Mad Doctor Bebop

Ghost Rocksteady

But I love them all! I think both is Raphs are the best. I really want the all but all for sale for ridiculous prices.

I love these - they are so wacky but so cool! I have all of the first series and all but Black Lagoon Leo from this second series. Still need to track him down!

Thanks for sharing the toy catalog !! It shows figures that are absolutely new to me ... not the Universal Monsters, I don't care for them, but Spellcaster Splinter ?!

These are a lot of fun. I've never seen invisible head Michelangelo before.

It is pretty cool.

Suine Hallock's reviews of these guys convinced me to buy them a while back despite my sticking to 'just the basic turtles' thoughts.

I'm still missing Creature Leo, Invisible Mike, and Mutant Raph, otherwise I have everyone else.

I love the Universal Monster movies so when I start buying the 87 variants these and the Wacky Action are top priority.

I always found it weird they made a April instead of giving Don a second variant for this series.

not a fan of these, but love the card backs. The artwork was great.

I love these. The second series is much nicer than the first.

Raphael the Mutant is from the sci-fi classic, "This Island Earth" for those not familiar.

Wow, that's huge. IDK how to resize it.
