View Full Version : HEY I'M NEW
06-12-2002, 08:54 AM
you may know me from the undermanhattan forums, but I'm new to these forums. I'll probably not post as much here though
06-12-2002, 12:27 PM
Hi Paul! Welcome to the Technodrome forums! You already know me, so I don't think introductions are necessary.
*gives Paul a mango of welcome*
See ya around.
06-12-2002, 01:41 PM
Hi Paul!!!!
06-12-2002, 01:58 PM
06-12-2002, 03:00 PM
Hi Paul!! Good to see you here!
Hi hi! *goes off to do someone... thing I mean something!*
06-12-2002, 05:23 PM
hiiiii! *whispers behind hand* kali's going off to do some*thing*... hmmmm... i smell a blackmail oppertunity...
06-12-2002, 05:51 PM
I'm new here too...I originally went to the test forums by accident....I mostly stay at UM too...
06-12-2002, 06:04 PM
*runs up and hugs JFreak hello* Hi! You are going to love it here we've got parties, and strange animals, and then of course Azure should be by with the famed welcome mango shortly. Hey, maybe you could bring the Slime over to the Technicdrome!!
06-12-2002, 06:15 PM
Welcome all ye who enter our lil' asylum!
I wonder if anyone's ever questioned where Azure got his Mango addiction?
06-12-2002, 07:00 PM
Yup, people have asked, and I always mention that it started with Machias's mango lassies! :anime:
Oy! Looks like JFreak found his way over here, too! Nice to see ya, dude.
*gives JFreak a mango of welcome*
Use it wisely, young weed hopper.
06-12-2002, 07:05 PM
Azure is a blue turtle, who has an obscure mango addiction, and is on the internet all the time, what's weird about that?
06-12-2002, 07:11 PM
Nothing, of course. It's the norm around here.
06-12-2002, 07:22 PM
*sighs* Yes, one becomes used to such things if they're here long enough.
06-12-2002, 07:36 PM
ya. how is it possible to site in front of the computer all day? is it your job or something?
06-12-2002, 08:01 PM
. *hangs up a picture of the mango for Azure*
06-12-2002, 09:16 PM
Poor Azure...Spreading Mangos everywhere....
06-12-2002, 09:56 PM
He's kind of like a mixed up Johnny Appleseed or Kokopelli.
Okay, I'll finally ask. This is probably a stupid question...Where does the phrase "weed hopper" come from?
06-14-2002, 12:53 PM
*Comes back to the world of the living*
Welcome to the forums Paul. Pleased to meet you. I suppose you have had the welcoming mango?
06-14-2002, 01:28 PM
Yes, he's received his mango of welcome. *sees the picture that Samantha has hung up for him*
Gee, thanks! I was able to get online during the day today, though. Just relaxing after finishing up finals. As for "weed hopper," I think that came from one of the earlier TMNT comics, where Raph wants to get Splinter to say it. But I don't remember if it was "weed hopper" or something else..
I think it was "weedhopper", you know, like a parody of "grasshopper".
06-14-2002, 10:44 PM
Ah yes. At first I thought it was grasshopper, but I knew it was something else that was similar to it. Thanks for clearing that up, Kali.
06-15-2002, 12:22 AM
It was definitely weedhopper in the comic. I just never quite got what it was about...thought it might have been a reference to something pop culture. Guess I'm slow.
06-17-2002, 02:37 PM
who let the dogs out...haha. made another funny.
06-17-2002, 05:12 PM
06-20-2002, 12:51 AM
:sweatdro: Gah, as usual I'm left in the dark. Which is a good thing mind you, the mango freaks can't see me hiding, waiting to strike...oops did I say that out loud? :anime:
06-20-2002, 01:32 AM
Mango freaks? Where? Where?
*gets in a defensive stance*
I shall not let anyone steal my precious mangoes!
*stands before his sacred crate*
That's it! I'm not going to sleep any more. I'm going to stand right here, and make sure no one steals these.
06-20-2002, 05:52 AM
*snorts* Trust me, Azure. Not their style or not, I know a few bandits who could swipe that crate while you're still sitting on it and you wouldn't even know it was gone.
06-21-2002, 07:47 AM
but... but... that wouldn't be nice...
06-25-2002, 12:50 AM
06-25-2002, 07:34 AM
hey, the foot clan can do that
06-25-2002, 07:47 AM
hah! the foot clan ain't no match for the crew we have around here! *swings rolled up newspaper about, heroically*
06-25-2002, 10:13 AM
*fades in grinning evil while holding a lit lighter under Tinselcat's rolled up newspaper* :eyemouth:
06-25-2002, 02:19 PM
*runs out of the thread*
06-25-2002, 03:05 PM
*runs after Azure*
*steals the crate of mangoes while everyone's distracted*
06-26-2002, 12:42 PM
*runs back in*
This place is in utter chaos!
Um, off topic question, but is anyone else having trouble logging in (as in, can't at all) or is it just me?
06-26-2002, 01:16 PM
I can't log in either, so I've been entering my name and password each time. It seems like there's an error with the cookie that is supposed to log us in.
Ah, okay, thought it was just me.
06-26-2002, 01:52 PM
yep... same prob for me too.
06-26-2002, 03:30 PM
GAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! *drops flaming newspaper and gives HT a dirty look*

06-26-2002, 07:32 PM
Problem fixed. It looks like our host upgraded the server to PHP 4.2.1, and it didn't like the empty string in phpBB's functions.php. I changed it to a 0, and it works now.
06-26-2002, 09:36 PM
WOW! it takes a lot of knowledge to manage a forum. good thinking.
06-27-2002, 01:06 AM
Oh wow! All hail the mighty Krang! And of course Krang has a lot of knowledge. He is a big brain, after all. Thanks for fixing the little problemo, dude!
06-27-2002, 06:17 AM
*sprinkles krang with T-drome-shaped confetti*
06-27-2002, 08:53 AM
it took me a long time to learn programming. really boring and tedious but once u get used to it, u can make a lot of good stuff.
06-27-2002, 09:05 AM
yeah... I'm too attached to *clears throat* GUI interfaces and pretty images to stick stictly to all text and code when I'm making up websites. Poor brain no like hardcare programming!
06-27-2002, 10:44 AM
Computer programming?! I haven't tried... but I know I couldn't do it!!!
Good work Krang! Thanks. (I am so far behind...*contemplates "accidentally" deleting EverQuest from her computer*)
06-27-2002, 04:47 PM
I took one class in programming, and I still don't understand C++. Nope, definitely not my slice of pizza.
06-27-2002, 07:12 PM
ya, i'd never be able to comprehend all that information. i'm just as content to build a web page by the time-honored traditions of drag-and-drop and whine-to-my-cousin-sean-when-something-doesn't-work.
06-28-2002, 05:42 AM
ya. it requires a lot of devotion to do these kind of work (something i don't have). I gotta quit procastinating and quit being lazy but hey, it's the summer break so i CAN continue being the lazy person who i am.
06-28-2002, 06:59 AM
ah, summer vacation... thou art as a boon to mine laziness...
06-28-2002, 09:28 AM
LOL! Summer is good. Now only if it would stop being so hot...
06-28-2002, 01:09 PM
I'm glad it's not hot over here!
06-28-2002, 02:00 PM
06-29-2002, 02:16 AM
In England... though the weathers okay, for now!
06-29-2002, 12:46 PM
it's hot and humid where i am... :dead:
06-29-2002, 01:49 PM
Ditto that. 8)
06-29-2002, 08:45 PM
ya. i hate living in a region a continental region type weather. its really hot during the summer and really cold during the winter. the good thing is, summer gets cool once in a while because of the small low front from lake ontario that comes once in a while. it sucks living on the leeward side of a mountain range. orographic type weather really sucks.
06-29-2002, 08:46 PM
its good living near a large body of water.
06-30-2002, 06:04 AM
I live in a valley, near a river. it's pretty, but like you said, king, we get the extreme weather conditions every season.
06-30-2002, 06:16 AM
06-30-2002, 09:12 PM
ummmmm yea Hey! :-?
06-30-2002, 09:46 PM
hey, u r new here. welcome to this forum. this forum is cool.
07-01-2002, 11:10 AM
