Welcome all ye who enter our lil' asylum!
I wonder if anyone's ever questioned where Azure got his Mango addiction?
azure turtle
06-12-2002, 07:00 PM
*snicker*
Yup, people have asked, and I always mention that it started with Machias's mango lassies! :anime:
*blinks*
Oy! Looks like JFreak found his way over here, too! Nice to see ya, dude.
*gives JFreak a mango of welcome*
Use it wisely, young weed hopper.

Azure is a blue turtle, who has an obscure mango addiction, and is on the internet all the time, what's weird about that?
Paul

Nothing, of course. It's the norm around here.

He's kind of like a mixed up Johnny Appleseed or Kokopelli.
Okay, I'll finally ask. This is probably a stupid question...Where does the phrase "weed hopper" come from?
Nunchucker
06-14-2002, 12:53 PM
Huh? What?
*Comes back to the world of the living*
Welcome to the forums Paul. Pleased to meet you. I suppose you have had the welcoming mango?
azure turtle
06-14-2002, 01:28 PM
Yes, he's received his mango of welcome. *sees the picture that Samantha has hung up for him*
Gee, thanks! I was able to get online during the day today, though. Just relaxing after finishing up finals. As for "weed hopper," I think that came from one of the earlier TMNT comics, where Raph wants to get Splinter to say it. But I don't remember if it was "weed hopper" or something else..
I think it was "weedhopper", you know, like a parody of "grasshopper".
azure turtle
06-14-2002, 10:44 PM
Ah yes. At first I thought it was grasshopper, but I knew it was something else that was similar to it. Thanks for clearing that up, Kali.
Skeletoncrew
06-15-2002, 12:22 AM
It was definitely weedhopper in the comic. I just never quite got what it was about...thought it might have been a reference to something pop culture. Guess I'm slow.

Mango freaks? Where? Where?
*gets in a defensive stance*
I shall not let anyone steal my precious mangoes!
*stands before his sacred crate*
That's it! I'm not going to sleep any more. I'm going to stand right here, and make sure no one steals these.
enigma-1
06-20-2002, 05:52 AM
*snorts* Trust me, Azure. Not their style or not, I know a few bandits who could swipe that crate while you're still sitting on it and you wouldn't even know it was gone.
Tinselcat
06-21-2002, 07:47 AM

This place is in utter chaos!
Um, off topic question, but is anyone else having trouble logging in (as in, can't at all) or is it just me?
azure turtle
06-26-2002, 01:16 PM
I can't log in either, so I've been entering my name and password each time. It seems like there's an error with the cookie that is supposed to log us in.
Ah, okay, thought it was just me.

Problem fixed. It looks like our host upgraded the server to PHP 4.2.1, and it didn't like the empty string in phpBB's functions.php. I changed it to a 0, and it works now.

ya, i'd never be able to comprehend all that information. i'm just as content to build a web page by the time-honored traditions of drag-and-drop and whine-to-my-cousin-sean-when-something-doesn't-work.
Kingkapong

ya. it requires a lot of devotion to do these kind of work (something i don't have). I gotta quit procastinating and quit being lazy but hey, it's the summer break so i CAN continue being the lazy person who i am.

ya. i hate living in a region a continental region type weather. its really hot during the summer and really cold during the winter. the good thing is, summer gets cool once in a while because of the small low front from lake ontario that comes once in a while. it sucks living on the leeward side of a mountain range. orographic type weather really sucks.
