Was a surprise to see that the forum has threads like "Favorite Singer Who Also Plays The Guitar" and "Favorite Drummer/Percussionist" but dosen't have a thread about guitar players. So I decide to create one.

So here you can post videos, images or just talk about what your favorite guitarist.

Mine is below:

Buckethead:
(I really recommend to everyone listen to this guy work.)

Just remembering, can be a guitarist of any kind, rock, blues, folk, jazz, etc. And can be a player of either electric or acoustic guitar.

Well then, have fun.

I guess I'd have to say David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd). Instantly recognizable, bluesy & ambient, always puts me in a good place.

Tough choice for me but my top 3 are always Eddie Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, and Chuck Schuldiner... maybe George Benson in there too haha.

Just curious, what exactly you see in Cobain to be one of yours favorite guitarist? I really like Nirvana, in fact, it's one of my favorite bands, but I don't think that would put Cobain not even on my top 100 guitarists :D. He did songs that are very good to listen and at the same time very easy to play, and that deserves some credit for sure, but just it it's not enough for me.

But it's your opinion, and respect that.

My favorite guitarrist, Buckethead, that I mentioned earlier, was Paul Gilbert student. Coincidence? I think not.

Yeah you can hear similarities in Buckethead's playing to Gilbert's. Buckethead's live shows are top notice too!
