Right, for some reason I remembered the van was in toy form yet. Hmm. I wonder if it'll be a nice display piece with the capsule turtles from Japan?

But aren't those Nick styled and much smaller than the pops?

Yes, but I think it could make the van fit their scale, as long as the van isn't too stylized in its proportions.

Looking at other pop vehicles, it seems like it won't be stylized at all, really.

Cool, with luck the pop van will be size able to the capsule turtles as the 88 van is to it's figures. Just have to fix the hole on the roof. :)

Just like the other set I'm only interested in one figure. I like the concept art of April, same with splinter, this is the one set where I'm fine with just buying a couple figures and don't have to have them all. But I am really digging the turtle van as well.

I've always liked these but I don't have any pop vinyls, so I was wary to start another collection. But they may have suckered me in with the van and april. :tgrumble:

I'm very similar to the last two posters. In the first wave I just picked up Splinter and in this new wave I'm interested to see April and the Turtle Van. In the Funko Pop! lines I've been interested in a few of the good guy characters and in the new Kidrobot line I've been interested in a few of the villains.

Same here, I just wonder is Leo coming with the turtle van as pictured or is it just for show.

i really wish there was a krang. but i think the best thing about this i i don't feel the need to by the kid robot stuff anymore. i really hate the blind bag concept.

I love these things. Hopefully we get a Casey Jones eventually too.

I highly doubt they'll do another wave of OT pops...I mean, besides Casey and Krang, who else could they really do? None of the other characters are that publicly recognizable to sell well.

$40 for the Hikari figs is way way 2 much.. wanted them, but at that price, it's a pass for me.. will buy the regular pops, wacky wobblers and the turtle van though.

Does anyone know about updates on the wacky wobblers? I see all over that they are available for pre-order and are supposed to ship in February but I havent heard any other updates in months and no pics other than the mock up art from way back...

Slash, usagi yojimbo, bebop and rocksteady before mutation(since they like variation so much), tokka, rhazar, Vernon, Irma, the neutrino's and their car, turtle blimp, not all will be publicly recognizable but all will sell.

You have to think of characters that will appeal to the public and will sell to more than just die hard TMNT fans. I highly doubt any of the ones you listed would do so.

The safe money lies in the core characters, I doubt we'll get any exotic characters

Exactly. I could imagine them doing different versions of the turtles, maybe, but definitely no more characters than Casey or Krang...but even they aren't confirmed.

These figures are really cool. I know that they've been featured in some of the monthly loot crates that have become popular. You can check them out here:

I kinda wish they'd stop the color variant stuff and focus on more figures. I don need one figure, in a shiny coating, regular, grey scale, ect.

But the economics of these types of figure is such that the more times they are able to reuse a sculpt the more money they can afford to put into the sculpt to begin with. So even if you don't plan on buying the repaints, they are not an entirely bad thing.

But at the same time if people aren't buying then no more figurines.

Not really. If the line is getting sufficient support at retail level, it's going to continue. If it isn't, a couple thousand units produced as a convention exclusive aren't going to save it. And from what I've seen, Funko doesn't own the exclusive figures, they seem to produce and sell them for the convention organizers or another third party to sell. So if an exclusive doesn't sell, Funko still made their money. It's just less likely that they will get orders for future exclusives.

Thanks to Entertainment Earth, who's up for images of the actual figures for the new wave (Save for Rocksteady) AND those bobbleheads that were teased a while back?

I think Mr. Saki wins for best bobblehead. XD Kinda weird eyebrows on Splinter, though. Also, it looks like all future OT-styled Funko products are going to have the Nick logo.

ya thats weird to do the new logo and old style figures. Old Shred is by far the coolest bobble head figure. they all look good though can't wait to add them to the collection

the wacky wobbler bobbleheads designs are nice... something about the regular pop vinyl figures that i really dont care for. The loyal subjects 11 figures look amazing, would love to have those.. but I hate that its blind buying. I guess if you preorder a case of 16 for $130 you will get the 8 regular figures at least (4 turtles, shredder, splinter, bebop, rocksteady) and if youre lucky you could get april or a foot soldier.

Kmart.com has the new series of Funko Pops in stock. April, Bebop, Rocksteady and Foot Soldier. They usually have some good coupons if you are a card member too.
