So it was 1983 in Dover, NH that Kevin and Peter created the turtles in the house pictured above. I know a few fellow Drome members have been there and even taken artifacts from it for their collections. Does any one have the address?

I think it would be cool to post some pictures/experiences with the house if anyone has any.

I've lived in Dover all my life... unfortunately I believe the house is gone now. :(

That picture is old man, here is something more recent though it's not Dover. I never figured out how they fit the whole studio in that little box... Just think of the density of talent behind the stainless steel door.

Our member Archon Turtle did a blog post about visiting the house before it got demolished.

Peter Laird also visited to find it gone as well... :(

There's been a lot of construction and infrastructure updates in the city. Not to mention an explosion of McMansions....

I'm Surprised that Laird didn't just buy the house after he got rich. He could have rented out or something.

It's neat to see the house TMNT was created in. I kind of like houses like that.

Aw, man, that sucks that it's gone now. But it's still nice to know exactly where the Turtles were first brought to life.

IMO 28 Union Street was too historic to be razed as it looks like it was built around 1900. This Google Street View image was taken in September 2011, probably just weeks before it was razed, so this is mostly likely the final exisiting photo of the house. It's unfortunate that it was neglected to the point of being torn down. This isn't exactly McMansion territory since the neighborhood has that typical New England feel with narrow streets, organic development, and walkable to the center of town.
