According to the latest issue of ToyFare, there will be two ThunderCats comic book miniseries starting this August. It doesn't really say anything about the first mini series...but they're going to kill some characters in the second.

Anyone else excited about this? I really loved ThunderCats...and I'm starting to get interested again! I saw some action figs today at the comic show...I was tempted...

OOH! ME!
*waves hands around*
I read all about the new comics in the latest Wizard mag. It looks like they're all set for a comeback! And I'd love to see the ThunderCats back on TV in an anime style of drawing...

T-cats are among one of the coolest things they ever came up with. I didn't see much of them as a kid, since I was barely 4, but I've watched the ones they show now. Heck, I"ve even got some on tape.

I loved Thundercats so much!! I no longer have my Lion-o or Panthro figures, but I recentlly found my Cheetara, Wilykit and Wilykat!!

I've still got my UK reprints of the comics, too.

I saw a Thundercats cartoon a couple of years ago and it bored the socks off me....
Still interested in the new stuff, though...

I remember the show from when I was a kid. And when it came back on Cartoon Network, I was so excited to see it again, but it was really painful to watch. I hope it gets a makeover, because I think it has potential.

Well, the artwork shown in ToyFare looks quite nice...and it sounds like it should be good! *crosses fingers*

BTW, Cheetara was always my favorite. The only episode I really remember the plot too was the one where she found the gold and that thing manipulated her into powering him up with it.

Did yuu ever see the Trials one where Lion-o was tested by the others to become leader. It was one of the first few episodes. Antway, he had to race cheetara and in the end he beat her.

I was like No Way!! She'd the fastest Thundercat!! Lion-o can't beat her. A very dissapointing episode.

Panthro's my favourite... though I remember liking Tygra the best when I was 10.

Hey Loolaa,

Now that you mention it...I do remember that episode. He beat her because cheetahs are sprinters, didn't he?

Yeah, I think it was a stamina thing.
But Lion-o also beat Panthro on strength, Tygra with mindpower, and Kit and Kat with cunning!!! Hmph!

Actually there was a really cool issue of the comic where Panthro got into a fight with these ghost things and knocked over a giant monolith. The ghosts were so angry they infected the rest of the Thundercats with sicknes, so Panthro had to go and apologise and fix the monolith.
For some reason that issue always stuck in my head!

Funny how things like that will stick in your head for years. I was also thinking that the comic should be done better now because the target audience is probably former fans now...adults.

I once read this magazine article where they were going through some of the old 70's and 80's cartoons to see if they were as good as they remembered. When they got to Thundercats they were like, "This is so homoerotic" !!! I'm gonna have to dig out that article and re-read it!

Another wierd thing that's stuck in my head!
