So I got to watching the 3 movies, and notice that for music the first movie had MC Hammer's Turtle Power played at the end of the film. It was a pretty good beat.

But in the 2nd movie Vanilla Ice had Ninja Rap, now good or bad, that song sweep a nation that no other Turtle song did before. I did loved Ninja Rap as a kid and me and my friends were singing that song like it was the next best thing being the turtle fans we are.

I know Ninja Rap was either like or hated among the fan base, but we had the top 2 talents in the late 80's, early 90's. Yeah MC may not have been in the film, but which song do you think was better I suppose.

T.U.R.T.L.E. Power is by Partners in Kryme. Regardless, it's the best TMNT song, and the Shell Shocked song actually fit nicely at the end of the new movie, so much that I went from hating it to actually liking it a little bit...just a little bit.

Don't forget "Shell Shock" by Gym Class Heroes from the 2007 film!

I actually really love Juicy J's "Shell Shocked." When I first heard the beat during some of the commercial spots, it really pumped me up. But when you actually listen to the lyrics, they're a clever mix of overt Turtles references with a rousing chorus about the importance of brotherhood and teamwork. Of course I think the third verse has a reference to gangbanging a groupie, but I can't be too sure.

Oh yeah...I like that one too, probably 2nd best TMNT song.

T.U.R.T.L.E. Power
Shell Shock
Shell Shocked
Ninja Rap

Speaking of TMNT music, the 1st movie's score is the best of all TMNT movies, and it's in my top 5 all time favorite movie scores for all genres.

Turtle Power. Was never really a rap person although I prob find Ninja Rap better now than I did back then (lol) when compared to what most rap has evolved into these days.

I think of Turtle Power more than probably any other song related to TMNT, including the OT theme. I love that song so much.

Neither.

Shell Shocked (TMNT 2014) trumps both of them hands down imo. :tcool:

Ninja Rap wins in my book. It's not as much about the turtles, but it's fun. Shell Shocked is a blast, though.

Anyway, I like this and the Ninja Rap....but....I lean more towards the Ninja Rap. It's catchier.

I think MC Hammer wrote it, but don't quote me on that

Ninja Rap. Used to hate Turtle Power as a kid because the dude's voice scared me, it was so deep.

Turtle Power, no question. Played that song on the Pizza Hut jukebox ALL the time.

I liked Spin That Wheel more, and the music video was more fun too!

Nice scene with Casey when that played. Gotta love the victory fist while wearing the Foot Clan uniform.

Same here, absolutely looooved Technotronic (and Hi Tek 3 as their spin off group) back then.. SBK Records, I believe, was behind all 3 Sdtks for all three movies back then and I know Ya Kid K/Technotronic/Hi Tek 3 were all signed under SBK I believe.. which explains their presence on all 3 sdtks. So much nostalgia there :)

Anywho, none of the TMNT-inspried theme songs can touch "Turtle Power" imo.

i cant stand NINJA RAP, but perhaps its because I cant stand Vanilla Ice.

i know a lot of the bandwagon Turtle fans on social media are loving on the song simply because Megan Fox says she likes it, but the hipster opinion counts for next to nothing.

I was a kid, saw the 2nd movie in theaters, and I fell in loved with Ninja Rap, with the turtles kicking foot butt, out witted Tokka and Razor, and all doing it with Ninja Rap. I loved it, and I had a good laugh when the Turtles confront Splinter about staying hidden in the shadows and yet the Turtles were on the front page news paper with Ninja Rap is born. I still loved that scene. Ninja Rap will always have a place in my heart.

"Turtle Power" is still awesome all these years later. Minus that one lyric that claims Raph is the leader, it perfectly encapsulates the film in three minutes.

Turtle Power by Partners In Kryme. No contest. Everything about that song- lyrics, beat and all- blows Shell Shocked, and Ninja Rap out of the water.

1) Ninja Rap - Most Iconic
2) Turtle Power - Nostalgia
3) Shell Shocked - Catchy

"Turtle Power" from the first movie for sure. I'd rather wipe my ass with Brillo than ever hear "Ninja Rap" again in my life.

outside of the badass "T.U.R.T.L.E" part it's a pretty obvious Ninja rap for me.

Edit: now I just listened to it again and I wanna change my vote. Count me as indifferent. I'm just gonna say it's a tie.

As much as I like the new movie... T.U.R.T.L.E power wins this hands down.

What this dude said.
I'd have Spin That Wheel in at #2.

Even as a kid I found Ninja Rap to be quite embarrassing.

What was embarrassing was that coming out of there shells tour and that stint on Winfrey.

Ninja Rap rock, Perhaps its Nostalgia for me. The movie sold pretty well in theaters and vhs in its hey day. It became the 2nd most sold Turtles film of all time, and it did give profit wise the first movie a good run for its money, only finishing a little short. And Ninja Rap was a big reason, Ice during that time was on top of the world before his fall. Ice help made that movie into the hit it became.

Ninja Rap rightly or wrongly will always go down in Turtle lore as a highlight more often than a embarrassment.
