Do you remember the first song you heard the first time in your life?

If so, what is the song?

It doesn't have to be a song you don't remember, it can be the first song you consciously remember.

My first song was Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears.

Oh geez, I don't think I could answer that question.

I don't even remember the very first song I've ever heard in my life! :-?

Most likely, a nursery rhyme, lullaby ...

How do you remember that?

Of course not, that's absurd.

The best I can say is that my mom listened to a lot of Hammer & Technotronic when I was a tiny dude, & she said I used to dance to it in my high chair.

The question should be rephrased.

No idea. I do have early song memories like Africa by Toto or Atomic Dog by George Clinton and of course the "new" Michael Jackson's Thriller album songs at the time.

Maybe you should rephrase this as the earliest song you consciously remember, or something that would be easier to remember and I have an idea for a thread. lol

It's okay. You can post whatever first song you consciously remember. Sorry, I should have said that when I started this thread.

After all, it's possible I may have heard songs as a baby and there's no way I can know which ones they were now.

Magic Man by Heart. That song sticks out of my mind like a sore thumb. It's probably NOT my first song, but it's one I can remember well.

Mine was "Please Please Me" by the Beatles. It is still one of my favorite songs to this day.

Most of my vivid memories start around age 3 or so. The earliest ones I can remember hearing were "Eye of the Tiger", "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper, and "Money For Nothing" by Dire Straights. But I have no idea which came first. I remember "Money For Nothing" was my favorite, though.

I also remember I knew who Michael Jackson was because I remember hearing about when he had to go to the hospital after the accident on the set of the Pepsi commercial, but I can't remember which of his songs I would have heard.

The first song I can remember listening to was Miracles out of Nowhere, Kansas. My dad has a video of me dancing to it when I was just starting to learn to do that.

No idea what the first actual song I heard was, though. My dad played music all the time when I was growing up. It always made me really excited.

Mine was Jump by Van Halen. I barely remember it, but mom says I used to leap when he said jump. God, that had to have been when I was around two or so. Anyone remember that version of My Toot Toot by Rockin' Sidney? That one also comes to mind, but I think I was a bit older when hearing that one for the first time.

My mom loved Disney princesses, so I think the first is "A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella. My mom seriously is still singing it to this day.
