Hey guys I'm new here, and I just wanted to share my custom Battle Shell tmnt, with improved articulation! They aren't the best looking but, I did this to show what these guys could become if Playmates really went for a "Marvel Legends" style of articulation. More pics to come(if that's ok), but just a few for now. I also did a bunch of alternate heads and hands too, but I'll keep it simple.... enjoy!

Let me know what ya think!:tsmile:

I'd love to have those. Sort of what we thought the Classic collection would be like.

Some better quality pics would be useful, can't really tell what extra joints you've put in aside from the shoulders & knees.

Thanks guys! Oh and I have some more pics(alot clearer btw). So to give you an idea how I pulled it off I used Donnie(my fave) to show the joints, since they all have the same.

Thanks friend! The heads are from the different variants of the four in the line(Battle Shell, Stealth Tech, Ooze Tossin' etc.). So if I see a head sculpt I like I use it, and then add things like eyes, Mikey's freckles, Donnie's missing tooth and so on... I enjoy it.:tgrin:

Wow, how long did each one take? can you go into detail about how you did them (if its not asking too much)

Nice... I recently got my first marvel legends figures and couldn't stop posing them. Got me thinking how come we don't seemed to be able to do the same with the Nick turtles. Great job man

I'll try, I think they took about 45 mins to an hour each... basically what I did was I had two of each turtle using one as the man body and the other for the extra articulation pieces. Then I would cut away say, the lower leg on the main body, and then use the extra lower leg(from the 2nd figure) to mimic a double-jointed knee, same process with the arms as well. Also I did the same with the hip-joints and the shoulder-joints.

Hope all that made some sense, I can also go into how I did the hands and feet too if you wanna know.:tsmile:

Have you cleaned the lens of your camera recently? I find that more often than not, that is the cause of that fog you're seeing.

I second the Revoltech comparison, these are fantastic, especially for your first run at them, I can really see this taking off in amazing directions, hell the applications can go well beyond the nick turtles!
but seriously please make a tutorial with picks I would love to try this!!

Gahhhh, how did I miss this before? This is super impressive. SUPER impressive. Do this with Spider Bytez and we just might have to kiss.

(We can kiss anyway; just sayin'. ;P)
