Looking for good fanfic is always kind of a craps-shoot... but what are some of the better ones you've run into? Do you have a list of your favorite Turtles fanfics? Are there fics out there that are held up as the best/worst in the fandom (and would you challenge those notions)? Tell why you like/dislike them... do you hate OCs? Can't stand Mary Sue characters, but found some instances you like? etc.

My time for reading seems to be very limited, so I'm enlisting the help of the hive mind in narrowing the selection. :trazz:

I'm more of a fan of the horror fanfics myself. There was one called Shattered Shells or Broken Shells? I can't remember, but I think it got taken down or something. I thought it was a good read, but I guess it was too graphic, or something. :ohwell: Anyways here's some of my favorites.

My Friend Al (https://m.fanfiction.net/s/4270511/1/My-Friend-Al)

Shadow Demon (https://m.fanfiction.net/s/4879204/1/Shadow-Demon)

Well there's more, but I'm having trouble finding them.

Ah, I feel your pain - hunting for good fic can be difficult. It really depends on what you're into; I personally find FanFiction.net quite frustrating for a variety of reasons (though probably the number 1 reason is that they don't allow any fics with MA or NC-17 ratings), so while I do browse through once in a while, I find I get more bang for my buck in terms of finding large amounts of stuff I'm really into on other sites.

That being said, FF.net works very well for a lot of others - as I said, the sites that'll work best for you depend on the type of fic you prefer to read/write.

Do you have any preferred genres/styles of writing within the TMNT-fic-verse?

There are also some good fic-writers on the forums, so you may want to check out the "pimp your fic" thread here: http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=10875

Hmm... now I'm wondering where I can even POST my fic... it's so mature, it'll make the other porns wet their pants and run crying to their authors... DevArt? (I scare myself that I even was able to write this...)

I'll go for just about anything as long as it's well-written. I love a well-crafted story.

I have been meaning to check out the ficcers here. :) Got my eye on that Gargoyles crossover when I have the time. ;p Ugh, those times when you want to be reading AND writing at the same time and don't have time for either... gah. >.<

I don't know that Deviantart will be the best way to go; I have heard a couple of authors had to censor some of their fic content to post it there (and then repost the unedited version elsewhere).

I'd suggest http://archiveofourown.org or http://www.adult-fanfiction.org/html-index.php as a starting point for posting any not-for-minors style fics (but if anyone else has any other suggestions, please jump in!)

Truthfully, I wish someone would just pay me to sit at home and read fanfic for a living. :tlol:

I like anything silly. Real life has enough drama and scary sh*t in it. Sadly some of the best fan fictions I know have been long gone. I still rue the day Yahoo decided to get rid of GeoCities.

Was just looking at the adult FF one. Probably my best bet.

Arigatou!
