Can't see my avatar

Ok, I'm feeling so stupid here and I can't seem to find help using the forum search either... I have tried re-uploading and linking to my avatar image. I have re-sized it several times too, no avail. Can someone please tell me why I can't seem to get an avatar to appear under my name in forum threads?
