Hey there, Technodrome! Lifelong Turtles fan since I was a wee little girl growing up in the 80's. Spent much of my childhood making bo staffs out of sticks and nunchucks out of toilet paper tubes and string (didn't have a lot of money growing up, haha!) and using them to attack stinging nettle plants in the backyard. I loved the cartoon, had a few of the toys, loved the Archie comics and the first two movies (even as a kid I was less-than-thrilled with the third one… sorry!) Lately I've been really enjoying the Nick cartoon and IDW comics.
I love to draw, and hadn't done any TMNT artwork in many years, but definitely feeling inspired to again lately. I'll post some fan art in the appropriate threads at some point, or you can pop over to my DeviantArt page.
Been lurking here for some time, decided it would be fun to crawl out of the shadows and participate a bit more.

Hey and welcome! You're not the only one who made weapons out of whatever when you were a kid. I did have a couple knockoff weapons like plastic sais and chucks. Ninja/samurai weapons have always fascinated me so that gave me an excuse to fool around with an old bristleless broom for a bo staff etc. My dad was a carpenter so he carved me two wooden katana etc. Anywho, glad to meet ya and see ya around the forums.

Yeeg, stinging nettles are the worst. I hope you won. o.0

This reminds me of myself and the two girls next door... We used to train with broomsticks and various toys that got turned into nunchucks. *l*

LOL, yes, as far as I recall, I totally won. Probably with a few battle scars/stings along the way, though… ;)
