WTF? IDW is gonna be publishing Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Uncle Scrooge, and other Disney books. No clue why Marvel's not doing that but hey... TMNT/Ducktales crossover anyone? :P

That's interesting, I thought they would've wanted Marvel to do that stuff, since they have Marvel doing Star Wars Comics now.

All I care about is a continuation of Boom Studio's Darkwing Duck series.

Those KaBoom/Boom runs of Darkwing and Rescue Rangers were fantastic (I only caught up on them due to TPBs). The Ducktales relaunch, however... eh, that book had a lot of problems. Warren Spector didn't really bother to read the assignment when they signed him to write the first four issues, I guess. And the less we say about the artwork (with the exception of issue #1), the better.

I honestly wonder how IDW keeps scoring these popular franchises to publish. I was under the impression IDW was nowhere as popular as Dark Horse or Image in terms of indie publishers.

At a guess- because they're GOOD?! Dark Horse is pretty good on some titles too, but IDW has consistently had great stories in every title I've read of theirs. And they are probably less expensive for franchises to hire because they are smaller.

That's coming by way of Joe Books. They're even reprinting the older issues in a trade to lead into it: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=56533
