Opinions on TMNT Vision Quest Hoods

Is it just me or what but I think the turtles new costume specificly their hood look really lame
I mean look at it, it looks really lame, all plaint white & grey (especially raph, he look weird with his hood)
Is it the Fūrinkazan concept, that must use plain white as their cloth or what?
Black hood should be better though, cause their freakin ninja, black hood should help them better in term of stealthy
But white hood? the enemies could easily see you right away & stab you
What do you think guys

Actually, no. Black clothes do not help with stealthiness in urban or natural environments.

U can compare this white hood ninja with this black hood one, which one is more standout and easily spot on

That is why TMNT usually goes out when the night comes and they usually sneak and hide in the shadow (ps u can easily see this in their intro song scene)
and btw the real japanese ninja always wear black (naruto and his friend don't count), so they can blend in with shadow & be stealthy

darker colors are used, yes. but full on black will clash with natural light and create a obvious silhouette that will cause the person stealthing to be discovered. (white can be used depending in the weather).

yeah, both farmer and priests have clothes that suits a Shinobi just fine (especially garbed as a Samurai, but that gives a bit more attention) some priests have that funky headpiece (who's name escape me) that hides the face and the iconic "ninja mask" is an actual farmer's equipment to protect against the sun.

Edit: Those funky monks are Komuso and wear hats called Tengai.

yea....I didn't like the white at all. it felt like they were desaturated.....

I would have preferred the brown honestly.

(I especially didn't like Raph's outfit because of the color....his fishnet arms were weird)

Lame? No, not in my opinion. A little bland maybe... But this was a 'spiritual' thing, so maybe some of the coloration was intended to suit their reasons other than trying to camouflage oneself (Americanized/Hollywood/fictional concepts of ninja gear aside). I like their hoods and stuff though and the general design.

Although Donnie looks to be wearing a very pale purple, and think Leo's might have a pale hint of blue as well? Mikey is the obvious one of course with a pale orange hue. Raph I can't decide if hint of color or just lighting, but given the others... (Seriously though, those flame thrower claw blades... if his fans didn't love that, well then I don't know what to tell them. lol)

Personally I'm more curious about getting the paint out of the parts of their gear that I assume are leather. Yeah, good luck there. lol Although most seem to be wearing a different belt than normal so that was wise.

Only Raph uses white almost everywhere, his wrists and mask are red still red, the rest use their individual colors, only a whitish version of them, Leo's hood and "sleeves" are blue, Donnie's hood is purple and Mikey's mask, wrists, belt, elbowpads and kneepads are orange and they look good like that, much better then the brown version you posted.

I am not even trying to be the einstein or the guy that know all thing, I just search that on the internet if the info was wrong, so be it, I never claim that I was einstein in term of ninja

and BTW back to topic, I just realize that their knee and elbow pad is all white too, that is why I find it there is something weird,
their original pad usually is brown one
and I had just watched the last episode, and they are not using their new weapon & costume, just wondering why?
It's quite pointless though after showing the episode of the turtle training & got new stuff, but in the next episode they didn't even use it, Cause it sure will help them raid back new york city, with their new stuff

I hope they do use those new weapons again at some point, I mean they went through all the trouble of making them. (As did the artists for the show.)

Although if you ask me, it was "proof" that blades are best... :P almost all went with a bladed weapon, and though Leo went with bow and arrow he still kept his swords by his side, literally speaking.

Basicly I love the design & the new weapon too, but I just hate how they color it with a dull & fade color, I prefer a darker color

I absolutely loved their new uniforms, I like it when characters get a new look now and then. I hope they'll wear it again sometime soon.
