So, this is a thing that happened earlier! Do any Dromers play Ace Attorney? I'd be happy to speculate details here or just talk about the series in general.

Ace Attorney is pretty much the only reason I continued to play video games during the last generation when, for me, money was scarce, so I decided to try a trilogy of cheap games and got way more mileage out of them than I ever expected. I may not have even gotten a 3DS if it weren't for that crossover with Professor Layton being announced. It's also the reason I met the most important people in my life as both my best friend and significant other are huge fans of the series. So I hold these games very close to my heart.

Unfortunately, I don't know if Dai Gyakuten Saiban/"The Great Ace Attorney" will get a release over here. I doubt it. Luckily I don't care about that one so much because the protagonist looks boring.

More news on AA6 and details will be available after TGS, since it'll be playable there. I inevitably always spoil myself for Ace Attorney games but I TRY with all my might to go into them totally blind [even hearing the music is a spoiler to me] so I may not divulge too much news on the matter. But here! Logo!

That 6 looks kinda like a magatama.

I guess I should finally get the trilogy on the eShop now, I've heard the games are really good.

They are insanely good, and the trilogy is the best place to start.

Welp I came back with more news sooner than I expected to. Have a few huge Famitsu scans that I can't read. [Source, which contains more scans; I only posted the ones with character shots in them (http://forums.court-records.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31416)]

Good thing the source also has a translation on some of this stuff!
As previously announced/leaked, AA6 takes place in a foreign country which Phoenix visits "for a certain goal." While there, the old Wright luck kicks in and he finds himself wrapped up in a certain case when his tour guide is arrested. Phoenix goes to see the trial, but when he sees there's no defense attorney and the judge is relying on things like an "oracle of spirits" (insert your own Zelda joke here) to hand down a guilty verdict immediately, Phoenix objects and takes the defense's bench.

Character-wise, that tour guide's name is Bokuto Tsuani (boku to tsua- ni -> "On a tour with me"), a young energetic monk-in-training. Once he gets on the topic of tours, he can't stop, but that's not much use for him in the trial. Also appearing is the mysterious, strong-willed woman in the art above; the magazine states she is neither a witness nor a prosecutor nor a judge, but rather a "fourth role" in the courtroom and this game's "key person", like Athena in AA5. (To be very clear: it does not say she's Phoenix's partner, just reuses the "key person" term.)

As for trials themselves, as previously shown, the courtroom has a large “water mirror” which plays a part in a new system they’re keeping under wraps. The magazine also seems to suggest there may be other small changes from the usual courtroom antics. This new system will be playable at TGS 2015. What's more, during the interview Yamazaki explains that in this country, there are prosecutors, but no defense attorneys - the court system relies on a 'certain thing' to work without them.

In the interview, the developers discuss how the game's theme is a "courtroom revolution" and how they felt Phoenix was in a position where he didn't really have anyone who could match up to him in Japan, so that was part of the reason they moved him into the wider world. They also hope that trials in a court where the usual "rules" don't play will help give a sense of urgency to the game that they couldn't get in just a plain Japanese trial.

With regards to the game overall, the developers heard a lot of complaints that AA5 was too easy due to the many hints characters gave, so they're aiming to let the player enable/disable hints on their own, and to avoid direct clues like in AA5. And while development's still fairly early on, they hope to make a game to surpass the previous entries, and to "betray the player's expectations - in a good way!"
Not sure if I'm going to play with hints on or off. Hmmmm. Also lookit dat Judge. This is great.

From the brief amount of Ace Attorney I've played, I'm looking forward to this game in the future, hopefully I finally have a 3DS by then and get to play the crossover and Dual Destinies, because from what I heard music wise the Spellbreaker theme is one of my favorite themes of the series.

So, traveling into another area like the crossover? Interesting, and I do agree that the judge looks awesome. Now, to see how it all goes when it's released. Hype is real once again.

So...no Great Ace Attorney coming to the west? :(

Still holding out hope, also for a second collection with AA4 and the two spin-off games. No matter how unlikely.

I'm all for the anime but I'm not sure the style would translate very well.

Apollo Justice confirmed to be in AA6:

You can see him at the end of this trailer here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fp_phcUzlg), and I'll update the first post with a subbed version once I find one.

I don't think translating the game's narrative to anime will be difficult. After all, we still have no idea if the anime is an adaptation of the games, the manga, in-between stories, silly nonsense, original stories, or anything else for that matter. It could be anything.

I personally want to hope for a long-term adaptation of the games with side-stories interspersed, and to eventually reach AA6's story........ if only to see/hear Apollo Justice and Simon Blackquill, my favourite characters.

Yaaaaaas. I love AA! Not as much as Layton in my story-based-puzzle genre, but they are fun games!

News: Apollo Justice and Phoenix Wright play as dual protagonists. No news on prosecutors [aside from Gaspen Payne and what's looking like a newcomer on Phoenix's side] or the roles of Trucy Wright and Athena Cykes. [Source (http://www.siliconera.com/2015/10/13/ace-attorney-6-features-dual-protagonists-of-phoenix-wright-and-apollo-justice/)]

Ace Attorney 6 takes place in both Japan and “Kurain Kingdom.” It’ll feature two protagonists with Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice throughout the game.

Additionally, Prosecutor Payne (Gaspen Payne) will make an appearance, and he’ll meet Phoenix at the Kurain Kingdom. They say that the country features an undefeated prosecutor as well.

Ace Attorney 6 will release in Japan in 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. The game will also release in the west.
I'm predicting Klavier Gavin or Simon Blackquill will return to prosecute for Apollo's half of the story, but I guess it could be Miles Edgeworth, too [but in my biased opinion a free-of-chains Blackquill sounds the likeliest]. It's a man, so there aren't many other options aside from those three unless they give us two new prosecutors in the same game. [I hope not.]
