Getting a high rated comment on social networking site & groaning at the constant notifications rather than reveling in the attention/appreciation. :trazz:

Growing up is... Expensive.

Mortgage, student loans, so much expenses and bills.

Growing up is realizing that you never stop learning even after you've left school and that life is a constant learning experience until you die.

Growing up is sacrificing your hard earned money on food and bills when you'd rather use it for comics and toys.

Speaking of toys, rather than playing with them they get proudly displayed instead.

Growing up is loosing all your childhood toys, or video games, that you sold for Red Bull, "interesting" magazines, and your lady friend. You then see on the vast world of the Internet that the ONE boring figure you hated or that ONE boring game you hated ,and never opened, is worth hundreds, or even thousands of dollars now. I bet you wished you saved that stuff, not for nostalgia, but the money you could buy groceries or pay your rent with.

That was deep.

I just hate the fact that time flies as an adult. When you're a kid and teen it feels time moves so SLOWLY, like you're just waiting for your next birthday and it takes forever to get out of school.

Then you hit your 20's and they magically fly by before you know it. I seriously can't believe my 20's are almost over...like it just flew by. What the hell.

...realising how stupid were those things I worried about as an adolescent. In high school I worried about grades. Now I'm preoccupied with my documents needed for my studies and work.

Growing up is realizing that the things you thought would be cool to do when you grew up aren't all they're cracked up to be.

Growing up is realizing that you can't trust anybody but yourself in this world and the things you used to value and believe have no meaning anymore.

Growing up is having to face the fact that all of your seventh grade peers try to grow up too fast and do things like...
-say they're dating without a fraggin car.
- flipping off the teacher when he turns around
-cursing and saying things they shouldn't
-being whiners
- white kids talking like they're not
-screaming in class
-Calling each other "brr" ...seriously, wtf does that mean?
-Trying to sound cool.
-Badly recreating vines
-Getting f's and not caring
- being idiots.

Growing up is realizing that while the teen years were the slowest of your life, the rest of your decades are warp speed from here on out (far as I can tell so far) and you quickly wonder how you got to the age you suddenly find yourself at.

Growing up is looking back in embarrassment to pictures of yourself from a decade ago.

Growing up is realizing that while the teen years were the slowest of your life, the rest of your decades are warp speed from here on out (far as I can tell so far) and you quickly wonder how you got to the age you suddenly find yourself at.
I'd say the years before my teens were a lot slower, since it felt like it took two years to get to Christmas, summer break and my birthday. Although teen years were kinda slow at the beginning as well, due to it being a ****** portion of my life.

Correct about 20s. I was like 21 yesterday and now I'm one month away from turning 25.... damn

And nowadays I couldn't give a damn about Christmas. I don't even bother setting up the tree anymore. The 24th and the 25th are those days where everything closes too early/is closed. Which can be annoying if you need something urgent or haven't bough enough food in time.

I bet I'll wake up one day and realize I'm 30. Oh well, you're technically young until you hit 40.

a year does go faster for you as you age, as a year becomes a smaller part of your life experience.

Like, when you're three years old, 1 year equals 33.33% of your life, so when you're 26, a year is 3.85% of your life. So generally with our comprehension a year goes much faster as we age.

*crickets chirping*

I joke, '3' ...

Growing up, frankly, sucks sometimes, but the longer this brain is thinking, the longer this heart is pumping, I realize that you need to deal with the hard crap before you get to the good. It's like a stale donut. Without the icing...
