Yep, the house of recycled ideas are not done revisiting events, as now we're getting a sequel to one of the Quesada regime's most divisive storylines of all time, the event that gave us the dynamic Death of Captain America storyline, yet also did massive damage to Iron Man and Spider-Man that has resonated for a decade. Who's side will you be on this time?

I've never heard of ANYONE who recycles their own ideas so blatantly as this...

Comics recycle ideas all the time. Not that I'm defending that strategy or anything....

Let's see how this turns out.

Well, I mean, this blatantly? "Civil War 2"?

Iron Man punching Captain America... only this time it's Sam?

Hmm, I think I see your point.

Has DC ever done something like this before with their comic events? Or how about Dark Horse, Image, etc.?

Well if you want to count the Crisis events with the multiverse, yeah, they've went to this well several times, even as recently as their 2015 spring event Convergence.

Ah yes, I can't believe I nearly forgot about the Crisis. Thanks Zarius.

Back on topic, I hope there's a really good reason in the story for them reviving this act. Otherwise this is gonna be pointless.

Civil war 1 you mean?

Gee. I wonder if it has anything to do with a certain movie coming out.

I get it. "Synergy", whatever. It's still silly. And pointless, too, since movie audiences don't read comic books, so whenever they try and do things to tie the comics and films together, it does nothing good for anyone and really only disrupts the natural flow of things on the comic book end.

Ah well. No surprise, but silly.

And it's not like hero vs hero has gone out of fashion ever since then. Hell "Time Runs Out" ends with Steve and Tony beating each other up just as the incursion hits.

Marvel confirm CWII's creative team. It's Bendis and Marquez

Weeeeell... DC would recycle their stories back in the day, like the exact story. Cause the idea at the time was that only kids read comics, and since those kids would eventually grow up, it was okay to reuse stories.

This is really not the case, or at least it's not the case in my experience.
I know more women who read comics now, than I have at any other point in my life...and it's all because of the movies.

They use the library to read comics as much as they go to their LCS for a pullbox, but they're out there and in growing numbers.

They just don't come to places like this.

Yes we do. I'm one of them. Although I came into it from 2001, after reading the TPB release of Spider-Man's 9-11 tribute issue. But it was at the same time as the movies were getting big, so.... And it led me back to TMNT!

ďA mysterious new Marvel character comes to the attention of the world, one who has the power to calculate the outcome of future events with a high degree of accuracy This predictive power divides the Marvel heroes on how best to capitalize on this aggregated information, with Captain Marvel leading the charge to profile future crimes and attacks before they occur, and Iron Man adopting the position that the punishment cannot come before the crime.

Is it just me or are comic books way more complicated than they should be?
Different universes and sh*t. Huge events. I still don't get what Secret Wars actually meant for the Marvel universe
Probably just me.

A mercy kill to a doomed line (Ultimate) and get the most popular thing about it into the universe (Miles Morales). That's pretty much it.

I was reading about it earlier and apparently a "Major Character" is supposed to die to wrap up the conclusion of this. Again.

Some conspiracy-theorists think it will be Tony, as a way to gradually phase out Iron Man from everything - temporarily, of course - until they can replace Downey with a younger, cheaper actor for the movies. Nobody thinks it will be Captain Marvel since she has a movie scheduled and it seems like bad synergy.

Honestly wouldn't doubt it but who knows. The theory assumes that the comics and movies have a lot more cross-over appeal than they actually do.

Most fans theorize it will be Rhodes, since he's Tony's buddy and Carol's current boyfriend.

Bleeding Cool claim that the big deaths in the series are

Rhodes and Jennifer Walters (She Hulk)

Nobody really cares about Rhodes; he's underused in the movies, and may even die in Civil War.

Killing off Jennifer Walters, though, would be a mistake. We still need She-Hulk in the MCU.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to see a War Machine movie for some reason. I'unno why we can't have that. I mean I know it's similar to Iron Man... pretty much the exact same thing... but when has that ever stopped them? :trazz:

Bleeding Cool had accurately reported the involvement of Thanos a few weeks back

now we need only discover if the report about War Machine and She-Hulk dying is spot on...

Loads of these teasers have been popping up with other heroes, I'll just put this one here as an example
