Tomorow is a very important day for gaming as Steam Machines releases!

Steam machines are PC at console size equipped with controller instead of keyboard and mouse. The benefits of them compared to current consoles and PC are:

Only one day left until the Steam Universe takes over the Gaming Universe

Here is what the pros of the steam machines and Link are compared to consoles:
Only one day left until the Steam Universe takes over the Gaming Universe

Here is what the pros of the steam machines and Link are compared to consoles:

1 Steam machines are more powerful tthan consoles even the cheapest ones
2. They use pc compoments so they can be upgraded at ny time.
3. They offer pc graphics framerate and resolutions quality at console size
4. You dont need to pay for online
5. Due to the fact that they are pcs you can use them for whatever else you want and not just gaming
6. You can use any controller to play any game(Xbox ps or Steam controller), while onn consoles you are forced to use only the Microsoft or Sony controlller.
7. You can coneect keyboard and mouse for no gaming use or for games that are better played with keyboard and mouse like FPS.
These pc/console hybrids will be on sale at Gamestop Amazon e.t.c in UK and US from tomorow. This the future of both pc and console gaming as this machines combines both experiences into one.

I'm curious to see how the sales go, because this seems like the weirdest product...

I don't understand what market steam machines are going for. They don't have the ease of use or a price advantage over consoles and they aren't as powerful or as useful as a gaming PC is. They found a way to make a worst of both worlds.

I would like to hear from someone who owns the machine. It's out of my price range but it may come down when it becomes "obsolete". I want to know if it's worth the price. I see lots of Steam games I would love to play but, sadly I cannot afford a decent gaming PC.

Actually they are the best of both worlds. They have powervery good graphics high framerate and resolution of the pc the no online subriction of the pc and the upgradability of the pc. But they also have the small size of the console that makes them easy to fit under the tv and they come equipped with controller. They also have a console interface made for controller use. They can run all games released on pc and all programs released on pc. For opinions from people who has got steam machine check youtube and steam machine forums http://steamcommunity.com/app/353390
