Pornhub released its yearly review, including a look at which consoles use its site the most. PlayStation makes up almost 50% of all video game consoles that visit the pornography site.

PlayStation's share has risen from 40% in 2014, up to the 46.9% it commanded in 2015. Xbox, on the other hand, has dropped from 45.7% to 37.9%. It's important to note that the PlayStation 4 has a significant lead in sales on the Xbox One.

Meanwhile, the Wii is at 8.9%, while the Wii U isn't included in the chart. The 3DS accounts for less than 2% of the total, despite having an 18.9% increase from 2014. The PlayStation Vita is at 5%.

Pornhub has come up in video game-related news before with a leaked Fallout 4 gameplay video appearing on the site months before its release. And when Bethesda's post-apocalyptic open world released, it led to a dip in Pornhub's traffic.

How many here have a PS4 and if you do have one, have you actually watched porn on it?

I have an Xbox One and I don't watch porn on it, my Wii U on the other hand ...

Good for them. Pornhub rocks.
Also, I don't use my systems for internet browsing at all. It's a hassle.

So, this is what society has become. We're making surveys about who whacks it on which console to what website.

Great job, world.

I can't ever imagine using a game console to look up porn. Like don't people have a computer?

Well hey, if you can use consoles to play DVDs and Blu-rays and stream Netflix and Hulu, then why not use it for porn? Right?

People will watch porn and fap anywhere. Isn't watching porn on mobile devices a big thing nowadays?

I don't know how huge it is, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's actually a major thing.

What I truly wonder is how the porn industry manages to survive nowadays with porn being widely available for free on the internet. Unless the industry has a significant percentage of dedicated fans of certain actresses that will just buy every DVD or Blu-Ray of her. It probably has some serious collectors like the video game and comic industries do. Still, are they good enough to support the industry?

Because PS owners are wankers, got a problem with that?

You seem like a very interesting person. :trazz:

But yeah, no, I barely use the internet browser on my consoles at all. I'm kind of surprised anyone does, but somehow, not surprised it's more a PS-user thing than an Xbox-user thing.

I rarely buy candy for myself, but when we get those Wonka variety bags at work, it's Sweet Tarts and Nerds all day long.

This is fascinating!
I wonder if it's because parents are more likely to let Billy (and maybe Susie) keep such a game system in their room, rather than in a common area? Or because Billy (and maybe Susie) are banking on their parents to not know how the browser program works?

I'm fascinated!

We live in a world where kids can watch porn on their iphone in their 7th period Math class.

Back in my day it took like 2 hours to download a 5 minute video of anything on the internet. The kids of today don't realize how good they have it.

I wonder how many of them know there is a browser at all. I'm surprised that anyone has the patience to use that god-awful browser.

This may have something to do with the fact that almost twice as many PS4s have been sold as Xbox Ones.

I see "Playstation" and not "PS4" so I will continue to assume the PSP and Vita account for a sizeable amount of the "Playstation" share. The Vita has basically become the weaboo creeper machine, so it makes this statistic even less surprising. The PSP was used and abused as an emu/pirate/fap device for a lot of people in its heyday.

Dude, you know damn well back in our day we were finding musty old magazines half covered in mud in the woods. And forget video on the Internet. I remember waiting 5 minutes for poor resolution jpg's to load. Even in terms of "useable" content from movies or TV the youth of today have it easy. Pressing pause on a streaming video or DVD? Typing a few words into Google and getting a glorious HD gif or video. God. At 15 I was fast forwarding and rewinding VHS tapes to find something like that. Pause and hope the tracking didn't f*ck up the parts of the screen you wanted to see.

Is it weird to feel oddly nostalgic about being a hormone filled teenager out for your next big score?

Are kids even allowed to get in class nowadays without leaving their phones with the teacher? back when I did my university admission exams, we had to leave them at the entrance with a janitor in order to avoid cheating. And this was already some years ago when not everyone and their mother had a smartphone/iphone yet.

Surely teachers won't risk having students watching videos and surfing the web during class. They had it bad enough already with students constantly checking and sending texts.

I went to two colleges, and I never had a teacher try to take away our phones. Not even temporarily. If they were really concerned about cheating, they would actively watch the class, and walk the room while we were testing. And when we weren't testing, people sat in class on their laptops the whole time, so I think teachers just accepted that they can't really control whether you pay attention. There were plenty of classes where I spent the hour on these forums. Especially with this last Turtles movie coming up.

College is different, though. You're treated like an adult there, so unless you talk on the phone during class or blatantly cheat in front of the professor, they won't give a damn. I'm talking about high school and below here.

Eh I think I should have clarified it. In my country, we take our university admission exams at our nearest public high school, regardless if we've ever attended it or not.

I have never bothered looking at porn with my game consoles. I tried once on the PSP at college thinking it could help bypass some blocks but they held up tight like some of the actresses I wanted to see. After that, nope, only used my laptop.

But how do porn studios and companies get some of that as well? Because websites such as pornhub and xvideos mostly have content uploaded by their users, I'm guessing? The ads will pay Pornhub's bills, not the porn companies that see some of their fans uploading their videos online. Unless they have some sort of deal with those websites.

It all gets split. Not hard to figure out, it's just money.
