I'm sorry guys, but I just had to share this with you all:
So, I was helping my mom out at my church's food bank. This is where down-on-their-luck people who are in need of food come and pick up groceries for their families. Well, there was this really young couple who came in with their 3-year-old daughter, Faith. I mean, this couple were barely in their twenties! Whenever we get people who have young kids, we try to distribute boxes of cereal and mac and cheese and Chef Boy-R-D and stuff like that for younger people.
Well, we had some "fun shape" boxes of mac & cheese and there were three to choose from: Minions, Star Wars, and of course, TMNT. As I'm putting together their bag, I ask Faith which box of mac & cheese she wanted. She immediately picked TMNT. Her parents said it was her favorite show and she loved ninja turtles! She got so excited when she saw Donnie on the cover and I couldn't help but smile like an idiot.
I know people have their issues with the newer TMNT; I've even hear people complain about the new IDW comics. :trolleye: While I can appreciate negative criticism, they need to understand that this is a franchise that sort of stood the test of time. You'd have thought this would've died out with the other 80s cartoons. Even Thundercats is struggling to resurrect. I can't tell you how happy I am that something I loved as a kid is still being loved to this day, especially by cute little 3-year-old kids!
Sorry to waste your time with all this; just wanted something to brighten your day!
