I know that Leif has sold like 5 of these in the past year. The first 2 he had the leather wrap was different. 2 on eBay and 3 privately. He stated they were used in both films but the bo staff in part 2 which another dromer bought from the house Hawaii lot is thinner.

The bo in part 1 was a flat finish and it had a chip on the end of it in every scene. Leif did state he stained his staffs though.

Yes if you look at any of the screen shots from part 1 the bo staff is a dull flat light brown. Also the middle strands are supposed to have 14 lace crossings but the one pictured has 9.

Leif did have a few where the lace was needing to be put back on and had someone do this for him.

Okay , that's good to know. My staff has a layer on it and the wrapping was redone ..

Ya I have no doubt that bo came from Leif. With the alterations it makes it harder to match on screen though. Everything I own from part 1 I'm able to match to certain scenes. Markings are like fingerprints when identifying props. I had the opportunity to buy one several times myself but never pulled the trigger. Does your bo have the chip at the end of it almost like a piece of the wood missing?

No chip , but the bo sure has allot of dinks and cuts ..

Hey! I'm the dromer who got the bo staff from the house in Hawaii. Cool to see another bo come up! :D

Speaking of the Hawaiian weapons group buy, what happened to Welmanshire? He was supposed to do a really sweet, high-end aluminum sai replica based off of his originals. He sold off the original sai, but I was still holding out hope for a decent replica run. It's a shame that never happened.

Koenne, any display ideas for your bo? 3Tripnip posted pics of his shadowbox bo display that looks pretty cool. Personally, I'm a huge fan of open displays. Especially when there's no real risk of damaging it. You mentioned your bo has plenty of wear and was already refinished, so you can go nuts!

I'm probably gonna put him in a closed frame , something familier like the other framed up one .

Sweet! I'd love to see pics when you get the display together!

I'm about to start working on a Foot mask display, but I'm really wanting to avoid the glass box look. I need to protect from UV exposure and dust, so I'll have to get creative.
