Jesus, that's a furry video. Heads up: There's a scene where Wolf asks Fox to take off his pants to see his legs. And Wolf is gay for Fox and they constantly flirt.

DO NOT WATCH

Not really, that scene was actually poking fun at the idea of the Star Fox characters having robotic legs.

Wolf is coming on to Fox in the entire video. The whole thing is a gay furry parody.

the puppets from the original star fox had what look like robot legs.

Wolf was curious cause he heard rumors about Star Fox having robotic legs. lol

Wow, that was pretty freakin' good. I don't like the character design (Tumblr furry style) but otherwise this was really well done. The sound work was absolutely incredible, the mixing, sound effects, their voice actors did a great job, all those lounge arrangements of songs from the series were wonderfully clever. A lot of love went into this. :tlol: Very cool aesthetic, it's like an 80's space jock film. If they are able to continue, I'll check the rest out, for sure.

Yeah, which is why I think this is better then that animated short, this has style that fits perfectly in the Star Fox universe.

Do people still like the original Star Fox game? While 64 is superior to it, I still think the SNES game is one of the best games for the console. I personally love its graphics, despite them being outdated as hell. Then again, playing that game is pretty much the earliest memory in my life that i can recall, so I guess that plays a part into it.

And SNES Star Fox was pretty damn challenging. I still haven't been able to beat the hard route.

People still enjoy 8-bit video games to this day, and their graphics are outdated. So I don't see why Star Fox can't be enjoyed to this day. I do, although nostalgia must play a major part in that.

How far have you gotten in the hard route? I've finished it, and it's not the easiest task. So finishing it was rather gratifying. I last played the game in 2013, and before that, I think the last time I played it was in 1994 or 1995. So when I played it in 2013, I got past courses 1 and 2. When I tried course 3, I kept failing in Fortuna. So I just started in course 1 and warped to course 3, which brings you to Sector Z.

I vaguely remember Star Fox on SNES being tough, and being pretty sh*tty graphically compared to kind of the Wing Commander/X-Wing/TIE-Fighter stuff I was playing on PC about exactly same time and not being impressed. I remember enjoying some Nintendo Power comics of Star Fox. I remember going to friends' houses and seeing Star Fox in the N64 era of the Smash Bros. games, and later on Wii too. I don't think I ever played the N64 Star Fox game, but I might've.

That's the extent of my Star Fox knowledge.

I echo all sentiments here; it's an immersive atmosphere.
Man, the combination of the animation and sound editing just oozes with 1980s-ness... in a good way. Hopefully, Nintendo won't shut 'em down before they finish.

Would be cool to see someone do a TMNT series in a similar fashion.

You can listen to some of the music from that episode the A Fox In Space Youtube page.

The intro had a jazzy remix of the Star Fox 64 theme.

I managed to get to Sector Z.

Fortuna is probably my least favorite stage in that game.

Man, the black hole was so cool. As was that hidden stage where you fight the slot machine. Imagine my reaction as a kid playing those levels

Star Fox 64 was one of my most played games on the Nintendo 64. I had never played a game with so much voice acting before that one. I think SF64 was the game that helped improve my English skills the most. Pokémon Red coming in 2nd.

Something about the music and art direction reminds me of Cowboy Bebop.

and all of the music in the episode are remixes of the SNES and N64 versions.

When they are in the elevator, you hear a jazzy remix of the Corneria stage music from the SNES.

Since when did James McCloud have a hook for a hand?

It was ok, a little too long and not entertaining enough but it did do plenty of funny stuff.

Now that Nintendo is looking to license their properties I definitely think Star Fox would make an awesome animated series. It's one of the few franchises that would make a perfect transition, I just don't see a live action Zelda or Pokemon being appealing at all or another Mario cartoon.
