Why was Mewzard banned? Did you guys think it was one of Goku's parody accounts (of mew)? 'Cause I am fairly sure that was not the case at all. I mean, look at his post history. Dude's way different. Seems like a regular fella whose passion was the comics.

I don't know why he'd get banned, and didn't know he was. He's a personal friend of mine and we've done a Green Lantern podcast for many years.

Funny, I know Mewzard from a Pokemon forum (his name is a combination of the Pokemon Mew and Charizard), so it is a bit bizarre.

I think it may have been a mistake. Waiting for confirmation from the mod that did it but from what I can gather with the info I have it does seem to be a mistaken identity kind of thing.

Some dickweed - I'm guessing Etsy - made a bunch of Goku-like dupe accounts all with the word 'Mew' in them. That's why Mewzard was probably banned; the mod just searched all users with 'Mew' in the name and banned 'em.

That's pretty bizarre if true, lots of usernames have some common word in them especially if its based on a character like Mew from Pokemon.

I say we keep him banned, we can't let the moderators look like they make foolish mistakes.

At the same time though, it'd be unfair to let him be banned without justification. Yes, we can claim Goku is him, but you just have to compare their styles of posting and behavior. As Powder and Andrew pointed out, he's not a fake account and didn't do anything wrong, so why ban him?

Major downsizing issues. I can't read a word of it.

In a nutshell, Super Mewku was him as a practical joke but Goku claims he didn't make the others. There is also one other username he has apparently but based on Esty's images posted earlier, we as of now don't know who he is. Seems very suspicious on who'd frame Mew, very.

But it's a slippery slope... pretty soon we'd be banning everyone on both sides of every argument who refuse to let the matter drop, and the only person left here would be Vicky.

That's how it should be. This wouldn't be happening if those two immature fools hadn't kept engaging him during & after the initial conflict. Even now, they (or at least Etsy) give him an audience AND a voice.

Goku told me that his last username is SamuraiRabbit, but he already locked the account himself.

And the only reason I posted that is because Mew(at one point) and I were being framed for what he did.

Krang is the one with ban power, to my knowledge (maybe Machias too, but I'm not sure). I imagine they were made aware that someone was making a bunch of fake Mew accounts & banned any with "mew" in the name without taking note of their join dates or the specifics of this situation. An understandable mistake, however unfortunate it was. Just glad dude got justice! :trazz:

Machias, a question:

Without pointing the finger at any particular suspect, if you had or have reasonable suspicion of who might have been creating those accounts while still being a member of the forum, would that member be banned?

Believe me, I was doing a lot of research on who was behind the accounts. We're still discussing the situation.

It's hard though... some people, you can tell distinctly if it's them. Others, they might share IP addresses with multiple people. So doing an IP ban (while desirable), is not the quick fix we'd like it to be.

Me and Machias have ban power and I believe Darth Raph may as well. And I think it was an understandable and honest mistake. Machias was just trying to do her best.

Nah, he just kinda went off the deep end within the last few weeks. Don't get me wrong, I think he's fun to be around, but as far as thread making goes...Yeah, I started to think he kinda lost it after "Let's give Donald Trump an afro!" I mean, he made silly threads and stuff before, but what set most people off was "Bob Ross or Billy Mays" and it kinda just snowballed from there. I think Mewzard was banned because of Mew and this whole "Super Mewku" account thing that somebody did (it was confirmed to be Goku, right? Or was it just that's it's not Mew?), but Mew himself was banned because most got tired of his act.
