So, I'm looking to expand My TMNT horizons. The stuff I've read/watched so far are the Nick Show, The movies, and Parts of the IDW comic. So, back to the point. So while I was in Toys R Us the other day and I came across an Leo and Mikey Color Classics one shot bundled with their respective Mirage action figures on clearance. I read both the books, and enjoyed them. So what's the best way to read this series?

The Ultimate Collection, six volumes collecting most of the first series (exluding guest stories).

Edit: They are in Black and White, if you don't like that there's The Works but I don't know if the material in volume six of the Ultimate Collection will be printed in it.

I second the Ultimate Collection volumes (which focus on the Eastman and Laird work from Volume One of the Mirage Comics TMNT book).

Volume One has issues 1-7 and the Raphael One-Shot.

Volume Two has issues 8-11 and the Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Leonardo One Shots.

Volume Three has issues 12, 14, 15, 17, and 19-21.

Volume Four has issues 48-55

Volume Five has issues 56-62 (finishing volume one of the original Mirage Comics run).

Volume Six contains a large number of short stories by Eastman and Laird.

Definitely all worth it.
