In your opinion, what movies have the best popular/original songs on their soundtrack albums?

This is going to sound crazy, but I LOVE the soundtrack to Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.

I also enjoy the soundtracks to the first two Spider-Man movies.

40 Year Old Virgin has a great one.

Pirate Radio (or "The Boat That Rocked" in some countries)
Empire Records (the real soundtrack; not the commercially released one)
American Pie 2 (for nostalgic purposes)
Spawn (if numetal was/is your thing)

Space Jam, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Goodfellas, there are so many that I'm drawing a bit of a blank.

A lot of my favorite movies have been made by soundtracks, but Treasure Planet's soundtrack is a massive one for me.

Ghost Ship? Really?

It's a surprising choice alright. I've only watched the film twice, but I liked hearing the song Not Falling by mudvayne and the song that plays during the flashback scene towards the end.

All good choices! I listen to those as well, and Footloose(original of course) Top Gun, Pretty Woman, Daredevil (the soundtrack was actually better than the movie) both Fantastic Four movies(I mean the first two, not that abyssmal reboot), and Young Guns2. There are many others in my playlist, but those are the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Also any Disney movie.

So many for me

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Nearly any Tarantino movie (Reservor Dogs especially), Goodfellas, but my all time favorite is the absolutely beautiful Lord Of The Rings soundtrack. So many emotions are invoked by that score.

I'll add Avengers, Iron-Man 1&2, Spider-Man 1&2, GotG, Spawn, and Blade. All three of the original TMNT movies, The Craft, Legend, The Last Unicorn( the instumental tracks are just incredibly beautiful and/or epic), Queen's A Kind of Magic album(was an "unofficial" soundtrack for The Highlander) and the soundtrack for Xanadu. There are probably more, but I'm not currently at home to look at my collection. One that deserves special mention though is the first season of Smallville. It had some really great songs on it. And just for fun, the soundtrack for the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Batman and Robin's soundtrack.

Movie may be pretty much THE capes*it eyesore, but those Smashing Pumpkins tracks are great, and even found it's way into the Watchmen trailers.
