the turtle auctions are definately soaring in the high price range
here's one example, i mean this is going for more than a sealed lot does

and i've noticed some others go into the $400 range, like scratch.
I even saw the winged warrior leo go for $200 when i got the same a week before and only paid $30
man i guess everyone heard about the turtles coming back!

Wow. Thats really strange. But, if you think about it, its only about $11 per figure. I pay $10 for new LOTR action figures...of course they're in packages. I guess it must be worth it for this person.

It seems just as likely that once the new toon debuts, thousands of people will remember that they have TMNT junk sitting in their basement and they'll flood the market with their stuff, driving prices back down.

Be patient. Remember, capitalism doesn't work if the consumers are stoopid.

Hmm...good point, Speed Racer. That's a scenario I didn't think of...either way, there's going to be lots of turtle merchandise in 2003. And Nicko's right...I can't wait to get new turtle stuff!

Another thing I've been thinking about is if we'll get a sudden rush of tmnt fans (new and old) coming online or start getting labled as fad groupies since the tmnt might get some publicity again. It's not like we're just going along with the latest fad though, the true fans have hung in there through all the times...

Hmm...I don't know how I'd react if the TMNT turned into the latest fad, if that's a good thing or a bad thing... Still, I'd be happy just to have new TMNT events going on. I know one thing is for sure...we're going to have plenty of bandwagon fans, and fans who left the fandom but will return.

yeah, i would really hate it to become a fad, i mean i could live with it, but i prefer that it becomes big, but not like as big as it was in the 80's. It would drive prices on everything up, and i haven't bought all the toys i want yet...

i would really love to see it blow transformers, gijoe, thunder cats, and heman out of the water. The ultimate 80's cartoon, comic, toy line, movie, etc...
actually i've seen the transformers, and gijoe movies, and i have to say they sucked, well the transformers was ok, but i've heard awful things about the heman movie. TMNT movie's must have been the most succesful 80's franchise movies around

Oh man...the He-Man movie was awful. I mean, it starred Dolph Lungdren (SP?) as He-Man. Good ol' Dolph is the king of low budget action movies. And the movie was so corny that I couldn't watch more than thirty minutes. I just had to change the channel.

i had a he-man and a skelletor, they even come with little comics if i remember right...i also liked the show a bit, i got one ep in divx...i never downloaded more because i really don't like it that much...but yeah he-man was good :evilgrin:

did you see those new toys of heman coming out? WOW! one mintue, they're basically all the same in the same underwear with the corniest prince adam. Now they're freaking super detailed and incredibly awesome. It's gonna be hard to decided which heman to get, since i wll be spending a lot of money on the turtles. I plan to get 2 of each turtle toys, until it puts me bankrupt, then i'll get 1 and open it.

I think I remember talking about how when the cartoon debuts a new wave of fans will likely be popping up with websites and everything. Course it makes me wonder that after its over if they'll stick aorund or if they'll disapeer for the next thing their fans of. O.o

i'll give u a tip, hold the gun with your left hand, then put your right hand finger in the trigger (try to make it to the edge), without holding the gun with your right hand, now this will make u a faster shooter, try to be accurate and don't stop shooting,for reloading just look down, very very quick. i hope this helps :roll:
