As I want to buy the old TMNT games I just want to know something. From the PS2 and Gamecube, what is the better version. I want to know since I got both of them.

I had the sense that graphics were slightly better on Gamecube for the first game. The 2nd and 3rd entries, I've only played on PS2.

One thing to consider if you ever want to try multiplayer is that Gamecube already has four controller ports while PS2 will require a muti-port adapter.

And Mutant Melee is not available for PS2 in North America.

I have the PC versions for the first two games, and the PS2 version for Mutant Nightmare, since it was never released for the PC. Battle Nexus for the PC doesn't include the original arcade game, when the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube versions do.

From videos on YouTube, it appears that the graphics are darker on the PS2 than the GameCube, Xbox, and PC versions for Battle Nexus. Keep in mind that the GameCube versions of Battle Nexus and Mutant Nightmare use 2 discs, as many large GameCube games do.

As for Mutant Melee, the graphics on the GameCube and Xbox versions are superior to the PC version. From what I have seen, the PC version has really low resolution textures in contrast to the GameCube and Xbox versions.

Since these are old games, the PC versions should run with no problems on any decent modern computer. They also support higher resolutions than their console counterparts, and I believe smoother frame rates as well. All the games can also be played with the PCSX2 (PS2) and Dolphin (GameCube) emulators on the PC. The first PC game and the emulators also have widescreen hacks available which can make the games take up the entire screen on widescreen displays. Also, they all have controller support on the PC.

In summary, I would go for the PC or GameCube versions if you really care about graphics. There is also the benefit of being able to play them on the Wii, Dolphin emulator, and the Wii U with the Homebrew Channel hack, which means backwards compatibility for years to come in case the older consoles stop working.

Channel what homebrew? Do I need to modified my WiiU for that? Does it work with the gamecube controller adapter for WiiU?

It's kind of hard to explain. It's called "Nintendont" and you need to install the Homebrew Channel for the Wii mode on the Wii U in order for it to work. There are tutorials on YouTube explaining how to install it and setup the GameCube adapter, but if you already have a GameCube or backwards compatible Wii, I would just stick with either of those if you want to avoid the hassle.

It doesn't?! Thanks for the heads up. Wonder why it wasn't included.

None of the PC games had any of the classic games included, I don't think they ever said why though.

Only the second and third games had the arcade unlocks, the first didn't had any, on any version.

Their omission was because of legal issues, don't really remember the details though.

Here's a cool video from RookerVision on YouTube comparing the graphics of the first game. He also does graphics comparisons for other games as well.

I only just recently found out myself because I was writing a spreadsheet with all the games and what systems they released on so I could have a checklist and I never knew it didn't come out on PC till then

I knew that because I have the first 2 on PC and had the 3rd on a wish list for the PS2 for years now, it just slipped my mind :trazz:

While we are on the subject of Mutant Nightmare, does anyone know if it came out in the UK on the Gamecube?
