Is it weird that I don't see them as Casey and April? But as Arrow and Megan Fox?

So they cut an actual character moment, I guess it was either that or Rocksteady's "big bang" that had to go. I mean clearly this had to go, otherwise we would miss out on comedic gold, it's not like this movie could have needed even bad character development.

Not sure I even want to know what all the deleted scenes are... if it's going to be a disappointment (probably!), I think I'll just wait to find out on my own.

If only we had people who did cool stuff for it... like include predominately cut stuff of the Turtles. Or any. Or take unused footage of the Turtles' actors and render them in. If deleted stuff (and extras) is mostly of people who play humans that's gonna suck.

Once again, I would just about die for a nice bunch of Turtle-rendered 'blooper' outtakes. No where else would we probably ever be able to legitimately get the Turtles messing up their own lines. (And I hate when animation fakes it.) That could actually be stinkin' adorable. lol I don't care if it has to just show up online at a later date, do it dammit. Nickelodeon, make that real, please.

Not familiar with the Arrow show other than that it exists, but on the part of Megan Fox I agree. April doesn't exist in this 'universe,' the Turtles just somehow ended up friends with a celebrity who has somehow yet to blow their cover (this time).

I doubt that it was an accident.

Did anybody else besides me actually watch the clip? It was pretty good... had kind of a 4Kids vibe the way they were acting as April and Casey.

Does Fox even have a non-porn face she uses for the camera?

Also, no, going to wait for my copy to watch that stuff.

Gotta agree. That doesn't look like April, that looks like an NSFW thumbnail that you don't click on because you're at the office.

Sigh.

Someday we'll get a good TMNT movie. Maybe.

This moment could almost be cute, if it weren't Amell & Fox. But as is, it's groan city. That's not to say it's well written in the first place, though.

Yahoo just released one of the 2 Judith Hoag scenes

Miffed as I was that they nixed Judith, I can see that getting rid of those scenes was a good thing. It's character development, it's fan service, but it's also poorly acted, & nobody really cares about April O'Fox.

I like when Judith Hoag says to Megan Fox. "You and I, are basically the same person." a little nod from one April O'Neil to another. :)

no that annoyed me one of them is the OG April O Neil the other one is a bad actress that can't act to save her life

Heh, the first scene is funny because that's what happens in Winter Soldier.

I see it has a little bit of fan service, when she said you and I were the same person, its letting the fans know they were both played April, So I thought it was an interesting way for acknowledgement.

Is this where everyone starts complaining about Megan Fox as an actress?

Just watched that clip. Not terrible.

But it made me remember that Stephen Amell was cast as Casey, and THAT ruined my afternoon all over again. :tlol:

It's good that it was cut. This way, Judith Hoag still gets paid (we all want that) yet she still manages to dodge the bullet of embarrassment of actually appearing in the finished film.

To really sell it she should have winked at the camera after she said that under a sign saying in caps "PLEASE LOVE THIS MOVIE".

...was the whole movie like this? It's like it was cut out of some forgettable, generic rom-commy spy movie or something. Like the writers were so impressed by twisting the "kiss to evade detection" trope (which is... not an impressive feat, at all) and called it a night, doing absolutely nothing to sell the characters, the scene, or add any personality to the movie.

Is it weird that I don't see them as Casey and April? But as Arrow and Megan Fox?

Stephen Amell and Megan Fox always play Stephen Amell and Megan Fox. They've never really had anything you could call "range". They're fine models, but actors? Not so much.

I still have no idea why Amell was ever cast to play characters with dynamic personalities like Ollie Queen and Casey Jones. He has exactly none of that, and doesn't seem like he's especially capable of faking it. Aside from being a pretty-blandly good-looking guy that a lot of people are attracted to, I really don't get his appeal as an actor at all.

It's a pretty good hint at the general demeanor and 'depth' of "April" and "Casey" in this film, yes. They never exactly get real deep. At all. Pretty much as deep as an almost dried puddle. The Turtles is where any emotional depth is. (Which I don't mind so much as I prefer it's with them... but most of the humans are kind of dull.)
