Anyone have expectations from certain attending parties? There's usually a few new things shown at this event, be it from Playmates, Funko, or a number of others. Post your findings here!

Anyone know if Tamashii Nations will be there? More TMNT cartoon figures would be top of my wishlist, and hopefully an improved version of the Shredder they showed at SDCC since the helmet on that wasn't correctly proportioned.

They are, yeah. Reportedly selling Raphael there early, too!

Great, I really hope they've either fixed Shredder's oversized helmet or that someone attending has the initiative to bring it to their attention and make sure they're aware of the issue. Granted, they fixed the issues with the Turtles so I like to think they know what they're doing, but on the other hand we've seen so many examples of toy companies not taking the time to guage fan reactions and just saying "it's too late to change anything" (which is one of Mattel's favorite lines, usually stated the instant the first prototype is shown leaving zero opportunity for tweaks!). Better safe than sorry I say.

This isnt playmates, Mattel, or one of the other generic kids toys companies. SH Figuarts is an advanced and official toy company. I have a high level of confidence in them generating a quality product.

Looks like the same Display Piece figure from SDCC, the pose gives a better look at some of the details he have.

I am so pleased that we're finally getting some decent figures of Shredder.

Hope one day we can get Fred Wolf April, Splinter, Bebop and Rocksteady (Playmates Classics line really missed their shot with those guys). I'm guessing SH Figuarts are our best bet for these.

For me, Casey wasn't a prominent enough character (in Fred Wolf Turtles) to warrant a Fred Wolf style figure.

good Playmates should be ashamed at all the happy meal dollar store crap they put out when other companies put effort and care about the adult collector.

I agree. I (and I think a lot of other people feel the same way) would totally be fine with the craptastic line that Playmates seems to keep making worse and worse if they just put a little bit of effort forward. Instead of making 37 variations of peg warmer Mikey's, make a smaller run of adult items. Give us some of the main cast that are similar to the Revoltech figures or NECA's or Figuarts. I mean, Marvel Legends go for $20 a pop and that doesn't stop anyone from buying them. I'm primarily a 1/6 collector except for Turtles (I do both 1/6 and 1/12) and for 1/12 I'm totally OK with the $20 to $70 range if the quality/accuracy is there.

I feel like instead of aiming our anger for Playmates at Playmates, we should aim it toward Nickelodeon and show them how much we want change by letting them know and continuing to give our money to other companies.

I, for the record, do buy the Playmates toys but only the main line. No variants, mutations, eye popping, none of that. (unless from a show i.e. Mystics, Savage Mikey)

I was there today and there wasn't much that we haven't seen. Mega Bloks had a nice display, but only already released modern sets. NECA's 12" Raph was shown and both he and Don looked great. They also had Figurarts Raph available for sale.

Sorry. 30+ years of referring to the various TMNT giant figures as 12" is a hard habit to break.

I'm not into wraslin', but I actually like 'em. Assuming they keep all the paint as in the preview image, I think it would be fun to own Macho Man Mikey, as I could totally see him dressing up like that in the show as a gag.

They are not so bad, but I would have preferred they had used the 6" spot for the classic shredder and krang...

I know there is a lot of crossover appeal between Wrestling and TMNT fandom, so I get it...

Personally would never buy those, though.

Hope Playmates has more to show us.

I'll get Leo/Cena for sure, with an early November release date I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing sightings by the end of October. Those Walmart exclusive's tend to come out pretty quickly at least in my experience.

Insta-posted this on my FB page, along with a picture of the figures.

For those of you who don't know, the overall theme of my TMNT collection is the widest variety possible of different incarnations.
There are no words in the universe to express HOW MUCH these fit into that.

Not a huge WWE fan, and not featuring Rey Misterio, Randy Orton, Triple H or any of the more popular star among my friends (aside from The Undertaker) but these ARE COMING with me.

regarding the WWE Turtles just read a Playmates press release that says they will have less articulation than most 6 inch figures . Oh Playmates never change

I've never been a wrestling fan, so apart from just generally disliking what playmates classifies as their collectors figures, these are an easy pass.

I'm a huge wrestling fan, but I still think those look like crap. They look like something that should be released in the standard packaging in the 4 inch line. Wasting a spot in the 6 inch "collector" line on such half assed figures is absurd.

I agree, except I'm not a wrestling fan ;)

The wrestling figures is a novel idea, but using the "Classics" slots for it seems unnecessary. The articulation is on-par with the basic line, we already know what Playmates mean when they state 6", they mean that the figures will be 6 inches tall (or taller like the previous classics Turtles) and not 6" scale.

The accessories looks decent at least.

Look at my recent posts. I've included contact information for people in Nickelodeon's licensing department.

I would like the NECA offerings a lot more if they were actually available in a store and not just as a convention exclusive or an expensive annoyance on Ebay.

I'm sure that as soon as NECA is able to do something about it, they will. They don't like the situation, either.
