So... there are so many formats to play it on, but which one will you be playing this game on and why?

My Wepon of choice, The GCN.

That controller feels perfect to hold.

I'm going to have to say GameCube on this one. First of all, GameCube has already had its fair share of successes through cel-shaded games; i.e. Zelda: Windwaker, Viewtiful Joe, Black and Bruised... PS2 would have been my choice, unfortunately Sony does not have much experience in hosting cel-shaded games.

Plus, I heard you can unlock the arcade game in the GameCube version!

I guess we'll find out before too much longer if that's true or not eh?
I realllly hope it is.

R-iZZy
10-16-2003, 10:22 AM
Ha... who doesn't want that to become true? I'd rather pay 50 bones for the CameCube version w/ the arcade game rather than just the PS2 version. Well, it'll have one-on-one combat, that's something to look for.

GK Punk

Part of me dosn't believe it. But then I do that everytime something new comes out, I make myself think the game will suck, so that way if it does, I won't be dissapointed.

R-iZZy
10-16-2003, 10:28 AM
Ha Ha Ha! That's pretty understandable. But I doubt this game will suck at all. The videos I streamed, the screens I saved... and the versus mode, that's enough to get me running over to the video game stores.

GK Punk
10-16-2003, 10:31 AM
I'll admit the screens have me pumped up for the game... I'm trying really hard not to get excited for it, but... It's so hard to NOT get excited for it!

R-iZZy
10-16-2003, 10:33 AM
 I would have been pumped, no matter what, simply for the fact that the last time a Ninja Turtle game was released was back when Turtles in Time hit Super NES. After that long hiatus, how can you not get stoked?

GK Punk
10-16-2003, 10:34 AM
lol so true.

Come to think of It, I've never played A TMNT game I didn't like.

R-iZZy
10-16-2003, 10:39 AM
Ha Ha! Exactly..... I've never met a person that hated any of the turtle games. I go to general boards that have nothing to do with the turtles, and each board mentions the turtle games. Someone made a "Remember This?" thread, and attached to his post was a screen from TMNT II: The Arcade Game. That thread became so popular. Just goes to show that the turtles never really left anyone's thoughts.

NGC owner. It'll be abit better than the Demo i have for PC.

Nintendo hasn't gotten any TMNT games for 10 years. This a good option for the lastest one.

GBA for the classic sytle of gameplay that I will always love.

PC because it's what I have and I think consoles suck :P

Ninja Tiptup

If I get it for a console I will buy a GCN for it, but I may get the PC version as well. The GBA game is a no brainer but I'll probably wait on that for a while... unless you can indeed unlock the Arcade game using both the GCN and GBA together.

PC most likely...

Unless those rumors of a the PS2 going for $99 were true. I might break down and buy one...

I'm still undecided. It really comes down to two factors, what extra features you get by connecting the GBA and Gamecube, the other comes down to if the x-box version has downloadable content. How rad would that be? Extra levels like splinter cell how could i not go with X-box. So if x-box has downloadable content and Gamecube has awesome GBA features i might spend the big bucks and buy it for both.

All probobly. Except PC. I will get it for ps2 cause i have it, then ill get it for gba since my sister has it, then ill rent it for gc and play it on my friends cube, and my stepbrother will get it for xbox. Ive already played the demo for pc and i hate the keyboard! AHHH! Yea I voted PS2 cause thats what ill mainly be playing it on.

I own both the PS2 and the gamecube. as well as a GBA (and a host of other console systems that need not be named because its not relevant)

I am going with GC and GBA versions. personally if the game wasnt made specifically for the PS2 it doesnt always run as well. plus I have noticed that cartoony looking games or cell shaded games seem to just look better on the GC.

I am also buying the GBA version becase that one looks kinda like the old sidescrolling versions of the game.
and its all about having portable turtles

so yeah i am buying two versions of the game.

PS2 because I want to play it years from now on my PS3 and none of the next gen systems offer backwards compatibility. As for the PS2 not handeling Cell-shading. That is not only not-true, but also irrelevant to the system. It is in the designers and programers. Zelda may look incredible, but Sly Cooper has more style and looks more like a cartoon because animation is based on character model alterations and not texture slapping to show emotions. (That is, when a character smiles, their entire face moves, not just a change in the picture slapped on the character model) Ie. Jak 2 looks better than some Disney movies, and moves better as well.

But, like I said irrelevant, because it's dependant on the developers in question and not the machines they are on. In this case, Konami will deliver.

I do have one question though....Is there going to be an old arcade version on GC? Because that, not casey, is enough reason to make me reconsider. As for Xbox, wouldn't touch it with a 12 foot pole. That system doesnt have enough other games (unless you are into First-person shooters, First-person shooters, and First-person shooters), and soon it will be in the closet, so I dont want to pull it out just to play Turtles, rather play it on PS2 or GC, systems that I own that have other games I play ( in addition to the GB player).

Gamecube. I'm getting the GBA version anyway, might as well go for the connection while I'm at it, and I think the controller is best of the three for this type of game.

I'm amazed PS2 wasn't that far behind. But truly, I already pre-purchased this game for GameCube, so I know my final decision.

I seriously need some help here. I pre-ordered the game and the guy said it was better on XBOX so I got it for XBOX. After reading what everybody has to say I'm not sure if that is what I should do. Can anyone tell me why i should stay away from the XBOX version?

It'll probably look best on GC because of the cel-shading......So, I think the dude was picking favorites......

Thanks for replying. I think I will stick with the XBox version I have pre-ordered. I was gonna get a Gamecube anyway because of Mario Kart next month. I think I will wait a few more weeks before I get GameCube still. Eventually I might also get this game for GameCube. One thing I like about GameCube over the other 2 systems is that it's so light and you can take it anywhere. Trust me, I used to have a GameCube. I traded it for an XBox though when Nintendo kept delaying teh releases of the great games. I'm not too upset though. XBox is actually a great DVD player and with GameCube only being $100 now I can easily pick it up again.
