My third set of Mousers from Neca, this last one was expensive, at least for me.

No, I never buy things I can't afford. However, I have bought things I later wished I hadn't.

Not so much couldn't afford, but something expensive that I regrets.

Like the 2012 Sewer Lair, it's a huge disappointment, and the Shellraiser just takes space.

The Japanese Mini Mutants Leo 8 Pack. I got it for 64$. I don't know what me from 2 years ago was thinking, but it probably was stupid.

I have def paid too much for items and that I now regret but live and learn.

Never in regards to affordability, but maybe a few cases of regret.

Donatello: The Brian Thief mini-series... what an awful comic book arc to pay cover price for.

But looking back, I guess the issues still hold their original value more-or-less and they aren't particularly common in back issue bins either. So... I guess it's a wash.

I don't understand how I would be able to buy something that I can't afford. You mean like credit card debts? Thankfully I haven't encountered that.
I was close to getting myself in that position when I was into Gundam and thought it as a way of investment. Good thing that didn't last.

I guess if depends on the definition. I've bought toys with my CC before because too many things came out at the same time. I always pay off the debt though.

In terms of not being able to afford it, I took a risk ordering the NECA Foot set. I had the money and paid the credit card bill the next day but barely scraped by on rent last month. I ended up doing a bunch of commissions and I made it all back in time though so it was totally worth it.

If I see something I want that I can't afford I just work overtime at my job time and half plus double time and 12hrs I get the money I need

The original NECA Turtles. At the time, I'd not long since set up my own business and money was VERY tight, and spending 60 on figures basically meant not eating for a week. I never regretted it, they're my favourite toys of all time and had I not bought them when I did I'd likely have paid at least double for them.

I've bought things that cost more money that I was comfortable spending, but TMNT has never taken food out of my mouth or jeopardised the roof over my head, so I can't say I couldn't afford any of it. I didn't have a credit card until recently, so overextension has never been an option.

Well, yeah.

It was a "good deal", but about a month ago I spent $200 on a lot that consisted of the 10, large classic collection TMNT figures- the 4 cartoon turtles, Bebop, Rocksteady and the 4 movie turtles.

It's $200 I really could have used elsewhere, but yeah.

I can afford it, but the S.H. Figuarts turtles are expensive, and I know I will probably be buying the rest of the series once they are available. You get what you pay for with these figures, so no complaints really.

Not that I couldn't afford. Adulting has to come first. But like someone else said, I have bought stuff I wished I hadn't. Thankfully, it's pretty easy to resell stuff online and get your money back.

Most of my reallllly expensive tmnt items I can't afford. That's what Discover is for.
