I don't understand the fascination with them... The houses I see that have them tend to have a bunch of them taking up their yard, to the point it looks tacky but maybe that's what they're going for. I know those things can't be cheap either! Maybe they splurge and buy a new one each year?

Although credit to one house in a nearby neighborhood that I passed by this evening, they are at least going for a fun eccentricity. The few, among many, that I got a glimpse of included a robot with moving arms, a dinosaur (same or similar to below), and what looked like a Scooby-do type van, all Christmas themed.

I'm somewhere between nay & neutral on these, but I voted nay. I think the snowglobe ones can be kinda cute, but most of them are or border on tacky IMO.

I don't trust the average lawn owning chud to keep them off the road.

I'm borderline neutral about them.

My family had one of these for a few years.

The only thing that I don't miss is dealing with the little light Styrofoam ghosts that would stick onto the inside of the clear vinyl parts of the globe as the inside fan blew them around.

Alright, I have to admit, that's an awesome Halloween one. And my fave holiday so how can I not give that a pass. :) One or two is one thing, dozens of them is a whole other story. lol

Speaking of which... just saw this:

Here's what roughly 40 inflatable Christmas decorations looks like on someone's lawn

"I've lost track of how much it cost," Santos said standing near an over 10-foot tall Snoopy inflatable.

Creating displays on his front lawn began about a year ago when Santos and his family bought a home in Barre. He started with a large inflatable Halloween decoration and then the display grew.

Santos then began to create a Christmas wonderland outside as well. His children inspired him, 15-year-old Gianni, 4-year-old Mia and 9-year-old Jaly.

His wife, Laiza, thinks he might have gone a little too far, but enjoys the display.

"She thinks I'm crazy," he said. "She likes it too. She doesn't complain about it, but she thinks I'm crazy."

That is one expensive addiction. Guy even has at least a couple Turtles in there. :D (I wanna see where they're all stored... is a spare room just stuffed full of deflated fabric 11 months out of the year?)

^ Yeaahhh ...I'm personally gonna call that over-done in terms of decorations, but to each his own.

The guy in that article even has a Trolls one. I know they are really pushing that movie hard, but how does that even exist?? How is this something they even think of when considering how to market it? o.O What, no inflatable Christmas PD Turtles? lol Just pull out all stops.
