I always thought Sam Riegel voiced him, but the internet is crediting both him and one Zachary Mastoon. Who is a different VA, not an alias.

Anyone know what's up?

I'm just guessing but I think the same person who voiced Dr. Chaplin voiced Cody Jones and Ultimate Ninja (little boy version).

I don't really know who voiced Cody or ultimate ninja either but I think they all sound kinda alike.

Pete Capella did Cody. Definitely wasn't him.

I think it is Zachary. He does sound a bit like Sam, but Sam has a very recognizable sound. Confusing though either way.

Unless Sam voiced him at some point... otherwise, Zachary.

That's what I've always thought as well. I guess we were wrong. :ohwell:

Well whoever put together Zachary Mastoon's demo reel on IMDB thinks he voiced Dr. Chaplin.

Mastoon himself told me it was him, so unless he's lying....

That's good enough for me. Thanks for confirmation.

I wonder how this Sam Riegel confusion got started...

It's possible that Riegel stood in for Mastoon for an episode or two either because the latter was unavailable at the time, or Chaplin only had a couple lines and they didn't want to pay Mastoon just for that.

From what it seems, it looks like a lot of the voices outside of the main cast and a few others were just assumed. I've seen on more than on occasion, a 4Kids actor tell a fan publicly that they didn't voice a character that everything from IMDB to BTVA has them listed as playing. Then later it came out who actually did it.

That's funny, because they sound EXACTLY alike.

yep. same here. they sounded too much alike....but i doubt a show these days would do that too a character voice, so it had to be someone other than sam.

I'm probably giving them too much credit with this idea, but maybe they were meant to sound similar. Maybe Chaplin was supposed to be a foil to Don?

You're probably giving them too much credit.

Check my autographs guys, They are a good confirmation since I also asked the actor himself.

As far as I know Chaplin is voiced by Sam and Cody by Christopher Clay Adams (who also voiced Mirage Donatello in Turtles Forever).

Ugh, now my head is spinning. Funny how this is so unclear 10 years after the fact.

Looks like Christopher Clay Adams was Cody. For some reason he got mixed up with Pete Capella years ago. Seems like the only voice role Capella ever had was Silver The Hedgehog.

As for this Riegel/Mastoon business, I'm just gonna have to hit youtube and compare some of their roles.

Peculiar. This is from the cast list from Dan Berger... Zach is credited as Chaplin in every episode after this as well, even Lost Season eps (although sometimes his name is spelled wrong):

Show 064 – New Blood*
Leonardo Mike Sinterniklaas
Michelangelo Wayne Grayson
Raphael John Campbell
Donatello Sam Regal
Saki/Reporter Scottie Ray
Karai Nell Balaban
Hun Greg Carey
Stockman Scott Williams
Chaplin Zachary Mastoon
Mayor Pete Zarustica
