Apparently WB are going to remake Watchmen as an animation in the style of the comic book and release it on DVD

Not to be confused with the Motion Comic released almost a decade ago

What happened to the HBO miniseries of Watchmen that Snyder was involved with?

Awesome, I actually love the movie but an animated interpretation could be really cool, especially if we get some nice merchandise to go along with it. I didn't like the merchandise we got when the movie came out.

It does have a few issues though, this is likely going to be part of the DCU DTVs so I hope they don't choose a sh-tty art style. Watchmen is too long to be adapted correctly in 90 minutes, it would need at least two movies similar to how The Dark Knight Returns got. I think that's very likely to happen but if it doesn't man are they going to gut it. I was originally super excited until I read it wasn't a theatrical movie, but it can still work as a DTV but hope they put the resources it needs like they did with TKDR.

haha, wow it's been ten years and that video is still awesome. I still remember everyone at /co/ freaking out that Watchmen would become just that after it became mainstream thanks to the movie. This was when the trailer was being aired alongside The Dark Knight.

What HBO miniseries? I don't remember anything about it, maybe years before the movie came out?
