Imagine a place where you could visit full sized versions of each of the Lairs and explore and take pictures in them as well as each of the vans. Buy turtle merchandise and ride on rides named after them. Of course it would have to have a swim zone.

Thoughts?

Maybe if it had zones for each era of TMNT. Mirage TMNT, original cartoon TMNT, Nick TMNT, etc.

There's definitely enough content to create such a place (& it could be supremely cool, if done right) but I don't think that they're nearly popular enough for it to stay in business. Even if it were based solely on the biggest iteration, the original cartoon, it would be way more risk than reward. Fun to think about, though. They could have a Cici's-like pizza place in their food area full of wacky recipes from the OT, for one novel example. :trazz:

As much as we'd personally love it, no, it's commercially viable to the general public.

TMNT ain't the Avengers or Harry Potter, sad to say.

Are we talking like a themed land inside a park? Or a park on its own, because if it's the former, it could work in a park like Universal or Disney.

I'm sure it could, and it'd probably make money. I kind of shudder to think what it would look like, though.

I don't think so. Not something that would exist perpetually. I could definitely see a TMNT "land" inside a larger park like Universal Studios being a successful draw for good while though.

Nickelodeon wouldn't be able to have a park, let alone TMNT. Hell not even a "TMNT land".

You know it wouldn't. It'd be one giant...

Maybe, mayyybe with a little presence from whatever the current Nick cartoon is at the time it's getting built.

I went to a Flintstones themed park back in the 80's. I think it has been demolished now. I would imagine a tourist place only focused on one thing is very difficult to maintain. So no probably TMNT could not support a theme park for that long. I'm thinking Nick already incorporates TMNT into stuff at its resort and does rides at some malls or something iirc.

Short answer, no.

If it were inside another park like Deadman says, it could totally work, granted the park it's inside is popular enough.

Nickelodeon has one, there's even 2 themed Turtles rides.

Probably not a full theme park per se, but a couple small attractions inside a full theme park could probably work.

Damn, you're right.

"Climb into your shell and take to the air! Be like a ninja turtle as each movement of the controls allows you to flip, fly and twist through the air at dizzying speeds."

I wonder how much you get paid to come up with verbiage like that.

I think if they got those 2 rides, some new ones, and a Pizza Hut/Domino's sponsorship (as well as gift shops filled with toys and other merch), it could MAYBE work. I think they'd go full Nick, though a black and white Mirage section would be cool. A huge Technodrome ride would be epic, though!

Well I guess I was thinking in a larger scale than that one but still, I'm impressed.

All versions; all lairs please. Is it a feasible idea... dunno. Depends if it could support itself well enough in the long term.

Also they'd need skilled people to empty out the park at the end of the day, because it might not be easy to get us to leave. lol

They better offer occasional chances to win drawings for lair sleepover night events. With lots of lairs to take guests then lots of people can win. :P (*dibs on Leo's room in one of them*)

If not a park of it's own, I'd still at least love for the Universal Studios park to add a section for them, including lairs. (And yes, the second PD lair rebuild included, because you know you wanna try that 'water slide.')

There's also an attraction/ride, a show and character meet 'n' greets at Sea World Australia - I went there last year! My signature image (below) was taken there, in fact.

I actually was pretty tempted to go on the rides at the MOA, but I wasn't feeling well and it would have cost a pretty penny.

So I went in search of some kind of Utrom merch no matter how minimal that wasn't the 2016 Krang figure.

I failed.
(I mean at least a little Kraang plush...I'd take one of those)

I highly doubt it would happen, but I do think it would be cool to have something like that.

Not a whole theme park on its own. It would be super repetitive. It would consist of the same lairs, vehicles and villains over and over with only some variation in appearance.

It could definitely work as a separate area in an already existing park though.

I think a TCRI area might be pretty cool.

But it would have to be a ToonTown kind of deal.

Lair, Shredder's hideout, Channel 6, TCRI...

Yep, just imagining a sign in the park that reads Eastman and Westman. Of course we can't forget attractions like Peter Lairs.

I don't think it could live and breathe as its own park, but the Turtles could definitely hold down a themed section of a park.

I didn't know that Nickelodeon Universe place existed, but those Turtle rides look cool. If there's not already, I'm sure TMNT could have their own dedicated area in there and probably be one of the more popular places 'cos kids AND (some) adults would enjoy it.
