I love your rules. Especially #2. I just came from a forum where people were flamed badly if they were stupid. :) Glad to know that this forum may be a little bit more accepting.

Anyway! Hi, I'm new. You all probably don't care all that much, but here is my life story in regards to Ninja Turtles:

I watched the original TMNT cartoon when I was 10... loved it very much. Donatello was my favorite character, I dressed up as a female ninja turtle when at halloween. Yup, I was pretty obsessed. Then again, who wasn't?

Ninja Turtles became distinctly NOT cool in Jr. High, but I liked them anyway. I got to watch all three movies at a sleep over party once. I hadn't seen the third movie before that and I haven't seen the third movie since. I didn't like it too much. The other two movies were a different story. I used to be able to quote the first movie nearly word for word as I had watched it too many times.

In between grade 10 and 11 (1997) I had a full time summer job which gave me a fair amount of spending cash. A comic book store nearby was going out of business, and because of it I was able to get my hands on nearly all of the original series (vol. 1) of TMNT. To this day they are among my most prized possessions. I also collected up as much of the Archie comics that I could and the Image comics. (I didn't like the Image comics so much... does anyone want to buy my copies off of me? -_-; ) I also watched and taped the Next Mutation, but I didn't like it all that much either. It ended up being taped over.

In grade 11 my female friends and I all were weird anime fans, and well, we decided to get "married" to our favorite non-existent anime character. I got married to Donatello. Yay, go me. I was just a kid... (<-- that's my excuse.) I still like Donatello though, but I know he doesn't exist. (I got that a lot... whenever I mentioned the marriage... thing. ^_^)

Um... lessee... I think that's it, until we hit this last year when I was startled when I found out there was going to be a new cartoon show. I hoped and I PRAYED for it not to suck. I am heavily involved in the anime community, and there were several things I wanted to see in the new cartoon, but doubted I'd get.

Imagine my surprise when the new cartoon ended up fulfilling my hopes beyond my wildest imagination. In a nut shell, it does not suck. (Not that the old one did, but I expected this one to, just because I feel that animation in America has been absolutely dismal in different respects over the last few years.)

Which brings me to why I'm here. I am here because I wanted to talk to people about the new cartoon and gush over it's wonderfulness, and this is the first place I found. I can't seem to find any other place really, so I think I'll stay here for a bit.

I've produced fanworks in the fandom... if you follow the link in my sig, you'll get to my website, which has Fanart and (mature rated) Fanfics. New fanfics and fanart are in the works as we speak. :) They'll be up soon. I'm also planning on working on some Animated Music Videos soon for the new cartoon show.

And that is all! I'm very excited to be here, and hope to get to know you all.

Are you kidding? I still have one of the images from that site on my desktop. It's that drawing Kevin Eastman used for the cover of his artobiograpgy, but with the turtles wearing their different colored masks instead of all red.
