What other cartoons / toys do you like?

I have been bitten by the Transformers bug about a month before the new cartoon aired. Have any of you seen it? Its called Transformers - Robots in Disguise, or RiD for short. I have all of the episodes so far in divx format. I have most of the RiD toys as well, except for the Bullet Train team.

I am now just starting to increase the size of my TMNT collection. I'm hoping I will be able to do a lot of buying/selling/trading real soon.

Ooohh... I liked the classic Transformers too. The new anime style version they have on Fox isn't near as impressive though. But Beast Wars, when that aired a couple years ago, that was cool. I still have my old TFs toys... so does my bro. :grin:

I also liked Smurfs, classic ScoobyDo, Ghostbusters, TaleSpin (the only Disney cartoon I liked), ReBoot, TMNT, Xmen, and Batman-TAS. I went thru a Beavis n Butthead and Simpsons phase in college, but I don't like them anymore. *ducks baps*

Strange but true, I'll still watch Batman, Xmen, and this cute anime called Metabots. I'll even watch DigiMon if I'm bored enough... but I prefer the hardgore manga flicks better (when it comes to Japanese animation).

I loved the cartoons, too, but then they started getting REALLY weird, having Dregg come back repeatedly. (Watching Shredder lose and return again and again was fun. Dregg's returning was like beating a dead horse. I have six episodes on my pc, including

'the Mean Machines',
'Plan six From outer Space', and
'Tower of Power'.
Theyre the older ones, but I love them to death! :grin:

Wouldn't it be somethin' if there were some way we could make some episodes of our own, like joecartoon.com can do animation? Use some of the Fanfics that we really like and make minimovies out of them.I would like to see someone try and do that. :smile:

Oh, that WOULD be fun. Fan fic movies, but we'd have to use short stories. Yeah, try animating Nirvana.

I currently have, let's see, about 25 cartoon eps on VHS, and some NM. Though no, I can't make copies.

yes. I din't really want anything to with #tmnt besides complaining about them. Before the only tmnt fans i new of where at #tmnt so i didn't really have a choice but to stay there as they were the only TMNT fans i new.

So that meant i had to bit my lip and try to swollow the crap they used to talk about. like them or not they were the only TMNT fans i new.

Now that i have found thetechnodrome.com i can ditch #tmnt (thank god) and stay here in my new home.

The reason that i may ask alot of time if "somebody" used to/still goes to #tmnt is there name may remind me of something, thats all.

Thats not too much of a problem for you kali is it?

Gosh... it seems that the diehard IRC nus still go to #tmnt. I used to chat there years ago, but now my night are waaaay too busy to do that chat thing any more. I used to AIM alot too.. but now that's also becoming an extinct hobby for me.

I just check out emails and messageboards, since that's a pretty constant ongoing thing.

Of course, my whole attitude has its points at work. A couple of the other women in my department tend to get creepy guys flirting with them...I seem to scare them off almost effortlessly. It happened just the other night. I came back from a break and some guy was sort of looking at some diamond things, but really chatting up one of my co-workers. All I did was walk up and ask if she'd like her break. He looked at me and said, "Oh. You're taking over?" Then he left. Apparently he'd been telling her all about his 3 girlfriends.

hehee... Dorms can be very finicky. I had weird roomies, really cool roomies, then a Chinese roomie. The thing I hate the worse is the anti-coed rule. It's no fair I got caught in letting my BF stay just one night! But then I moved out into student housing my junior year, and all was good. :grin:

Y'know, I don't know if anime counts as cartoons. Lots of hardcore anime fans hate it when anime is compared to "cartoons," but for the sake of this thread, I'll go ahead and do that. Some of my favorite anime TV shows are Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball Z, Niea_7, Hunter X Hunter, and Outlaw Star.
My favorite anime movies are Princess Mononoke, Blood: The Last Vampire, and Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door. Good stuff. :wink:

*tsk* Yeah.. but there's something I can't place about Pokemon and Digimon that bothers me. Maybe it's the excessive mushiness and belief that monsters will save human kind, etc, etc. But I don't like DBz or Harry Potter a whole lot either. *shrug*

Medabots are taken off of the robot wars in real life (a Discovery channel affliate showed them once). And since I like robots/cyborgs/androids, especially any character with attitude like Metabee (who sooo reminds me of Raph), it's all cool.

These Ro-Battles also aren't unfair and reckless as **** or pit-bull fighting either, so I'm happy to hear that this show is getting up there in the FOX ratings.

I always sleep in on the weekends, it's the only time I have to catch up on lost sleep. Sounds interesting though, maybe I'll be able to catch some of it this weekend.
