Whats up with the new game?

I heard that the new TMNT game was only 2 players. That was very dissappointing to hear. I also heard that you dont get to choose your character.

Are these things true?

yes it is only two players but you can choose a multitude of players and you can unlock hidden ones also

I'll take it even further than that when I say that I believe it was entirely designed as a one player game. Yes it's true. Two player mode is the shallowest it's ever been. You can only switch turtles if you are the "helper" (because you are playing through a story mode with the first player turtle), you share lives, and the camera angles get horrible durring certain areas and boss fights. When you fight the water mystic foot, it's near impossible to find an angle that will allow both turtles to stay on pillars, thus causing one of them to always get hurt by the devistating attack. Nano with two turtles is insanity! You can't tell how far away Nano is so you often miss him and then get stuck because your friend is "just far enough away" that you can't move one way or the other. The "stuck" factor is probably the worst thing. They should have made the camera more free roaming so that you wouldn't ever get stuck because of it.

Don't get me wrong. It's still a very enjoyable game. It just gets frustrating and the multiplayer is weak sause. I do enjoy the VS mode though, it's pretty fun to see whos the "real" turtle.

I agree with NT. The two player mode is a lot of fun, but the camera angles are horrible at times. And the fight against the Water Mystic was harder than usual, since my friend and I couldn't stand on the same glass case. The game is definitely easier in single player mode, but a lot more fun with two players. If they decide to make a sequel (which I think they will), I hope Konami fixes these problems and learns from their mistakes in the first game.

ya lets hope you can play Fugid story mode and make a diff story for each turtle.

I agree. I'd like to see a TMNT game that combined brawler combos with a stealth element (like Metal Gear Solid).

I believe they only do that during two-player mode (thought I'm not sure). If you're playing with a friend, make sure you both push the buttons at the same time while facing each other. This unleashes a tag-team combo move. Unfortunately, it's not really useful, IMHO.

ya, it is only on 2 player and once you get really good at it you can throw the other turtle!! Me and my brother kick shell with the attack!

You can climb to places where the enemy can't reach you, and then use the attack and the enemy will be defensless.

I personally think the new game is the best TMNT game yet.
