Ninja Turtles - 2042

[Kali]

Background: It's 2042, mutants and non-humans are a recognized (although not totally accepted) minority. The Turtles have been separated for thirty years, since the death of their sensei, when they split to go their separate ways.

It was raining when exited his motel room. Great.

It had taken Leo thirty years to get this close to catching the assassin who had killed his sensei Splinter, and he wasn't about to lose the trail now, not to a little bad weather. He lifted his collar up and headed out. She had always managed to stay one step ahead of him, always. Now would be different, she was slowing down, tiring. They both knew that the chase was coming to an end.

Leo thought back on that day, when a single ninja infiltrated the lair. It was a great battle, but Splinter had been killed by a tainted shuriken. Leo swore to avenge Splinter's death, and had left to go after the assassin right after the funeral. He hadn't had much contact with his brothers or friends since then, but he had his ways of keeping track of them.

Across town, a woman stepped out of a taxi in front of a lavish hotel and handed the driver the fee, plus a large tip. She smiled at the doorman and headed straight for her penthouse room. She removed her jacket and hat and made herself a cup of tea.

Thirty years, she mused as she stared out her window into the storm. It'll be nice to see you again, Leonardo.

Raphael sat on the couch in the lobby of the cheap Hotel, his coats collar pulled up and his fedora covering his face. Even now that the majority of the city knew about mutants, he still didn't like the stares and looks people often gave him. "Hey you got a staring problem?" he pointed a thick green accusing finger at the man in the information desk who was staring him down. "Uhhhh.....n....no.....s...sir!" the man stuttered and quickly buried his face back in his newspaper. Raphael glanced at the clock and shook his head. "D*mn!"

Raphael hadn"t changed much sense Master Splinter had died, he was still his old angry self, maybe even a little worse than usual. He hadn't had much contact with his other brothers, especially with Leonardo, but he knew what his brother had gone to do. Raph would have tagged along, he wanted the assassin dead as much as Leo did, but he knew what Leo would say. For the first time in Raph's life he listened to what Leo had said, or rather what he knew he would have said.

Raphael looked angrily at the clock once more, then sat back in the couch trying to calm himself down

*38 yawns, still wondering why she still keeps contact with this mutant after all these years*

Raphael looked at 38 "You wanna be quiet for I sit on you squirt?" he teased. Raph had never been one who could come right out and say what he was really feeling, and even though he often teased 38 and offended her with his bad language, he was grateful for her companionship and grateful she had stuck around as long as she had.

Raphael looked back at the clock "shhhhhi....." he glanced at 38 "shoot!" Raph leaned back into the couch pulling his fedora farther down on his face.

*flicks out her tongue, her way of smiling* Well, well. Maybe there's hope for you yet, Raphael.

*looks around* Though I still say you need some lessons in taste education. This place is worse than the last one you chose.

Cory was planning on meeting one of his good buddy's he hadn't seen since.......god only knows when. Cory walked in to the lobby of the cheap hotel and just in time to see the man stuttering to Raphael and Cory laughed to him self. "He still has it in him!" Cory read the mans, thoughts something he hadn't dun in a long time "God, this things appear all over this city now days!" Cory looked at the man "what did you say??" the man looked at him as if he was psycho. Cory simply replied "I can read minds and I heard what you thought, So now I'm warning you that either you take it back you are in deep sh*t!" he reached for his shot gun. The man look at Cory and about had a heart attack. "I am Sorry sir, I will never think bad about your kind again!" Cory walked over to Raph "Hey buddy what's up??" he put his hand up so Raph could give him a high five/four.

Raphael heard a familiar male voice and raised his head "Yo, yo Cory, what's been happening?" he stood and gave Cory a high five/four. "Uhhh.....not that it's any of my business Co-cheese, but you seem a little pis.......::looks at 38::.....angry tonight." Raphael walked back over to the couch "Look 38 I brought one of my foul mouthed friends for a visit." Raph nodded to Cory "This is Cory.....::looks at Cory & points to 38::....and this is 38." Raph bent a little to Cory and whispered "38 don't like foul language, so keep it to a min. ok?"

*looks up at Raphael* Look, I'm going out for a bite. You want me to bring back anything?

Enter Caitlyn in a black leather trench coat and is donning a black felt cowboy hat with silver on the band, holding onto the handle of a rolling suitcase. The guy behind the desk looks quizzingly upon the red haired beauty then realizes she isn't totally human, but Felina.

Caitlyn waves. "Hey Raph, who you stalking?" she goes up to the counter.
"Hey handsome, I'm in town for a few days, you have any rooms left?"

"Y...Yes."

"Oh please, don't tell me your afraid of aHuman/Felinaman." she rolls her eyes.

The desk clerk doesn't say anything and tosses her the key to the room.

Before she runs up the stairs, she bends close to Raph's ear.
"I smell danger."

Raphael looked at 38 "you bring something to eat as long as it doesn't have six legs and antennas."

Raphael though about what Caitlyn had said there is always danger, if i'm there he thought to himself

*disappears completely and the sound of claws is heard clicking over the floor*

Peter O'Donnell stepped out of the taxi after giving the driver a generous tip. He smoothed his tie and long wool coat out a bit before the holograph of his pleasant human face faded away to his clunky, cybernetic one. The face of his former self, Donatello. Of course, he'd rather stay at an nicer hotel with far better accomodations... but it seems many people in this city still suffer from "humans only" predjudices.

Don very well had the money to stay at the Hilton now. He worked hard and made his way up the corporate ladder of a techno-genetic research lab based in Boston. But that was Boston. They seemed to accept mutants of the green variety there more that NYC did for some reason.

Thirty years had gone past, and well, he thought to make he way around to visit with his other brothers... wherever they may be. He had a tip that Raphael liked to hang out around this place, so here he will start.

Don looked about the lobby, feeling slightly out of place. Maybe he should have worn one of his older trenchcoats. He goes to the desk, givingt he clerk a modest grin. "Excuse me sir, do you have a Raphael in your register here?"

*38 passes by unseen, buts stops when she hears her companion's name*

"Raph...its different this time. I feel its Leo thats gonna need help." She started up the stairs.

*glances up at the man near the counter, catching a familiar scent about him*

Hmm. Better warn Shellhead that we might be expecting company. Again.

*turns back and heads for the others again*

Raph thought about this for a moment Leo in trouble? but he is always cautious, makes good decisions, and never endangers his own life unless need be, so why would Leo be in danger? Caitlyn's words made Raph uneasy, maybe he was in danger?

Raphael looked at Cory "Maybe we should cancel our plans and go on a little trip?" Raph looked for 38 "Hey squirt where'd you go?"

*a silver lizard-like creature reappears completely, sitting on Raph's fedora* Right here and I've got news. Some guy at the front desk is looking for you. I don't know what he wants, but if it's one of those guys from the bar, I suggest you make yourself scarce.

Raph looked to the front desk "Well if it's the guy from the bar he has definantly been....uhhh....working out!" Raph strolled up to the figure and crossed his arms "Hey, pal my little friend just informed me you were asking for me."

*groans as stomps a foot on the fedora* Earth to Shellhead, there's a reason why I was warning you!

*disappears, but stays on her perch*

Don turned around, recognizing the voice immediately. "Well, yes, I am," he gave Raph a sly smile, making the light reflect slightly from the red of his cybernetic eye. "I had some time off, so i thought to stop by..."

He lossened his tie with some discomfort while looking once at the digital lizard type on Raph's hat.

Raph looked at the figure, ther was something familliar about him "Donny?" Raph guessed, he hadn't seen his brothers in soo long he had forgot what they all looked like, not just Donatello.

"Yeah.. it's me, Donny-boy," he laughed it off, deciding poor Raph must've had his brain knocked about too much from the fights he had been in from the past. Although, it was true he hadn't been in NYC for very long after he became cybernetic. And his face just didn't look the same as it used too.

He fell into another ackward silence, trying to think up something else to say. "It's been a long time since I've seen you. I visited five years ago, only to see Mike and April," Don commented, before whipping the tie off his neck and tucked it neatly into his inside coat pocket.

*38 reappears* So that's why you smelled so familiar. Nice to see you again, Donatello.

*looks down at Raph* Got to say, the tie is a nice touch. Now if only I could get you to wear one of those.

Raphael looked at Don "Man, it has been a long time hasn't it." he gave Don a quick hug "Sooo....whats been up?"

Hearing 38's comment he looked up "Maybe, in the far future....or maybe just in your dreams squirt." he laughed "me with a tie? Hahaha!"

Cory looked at raph "hello??? i'm still here" he walked up to raph "who is this? he looks like u but only not.... i know this doesn't sound right.."

*sighs* I suppose it's too much to ask. You rarely use a napkin, so why should I expect you to try something other than old coats and smelly hats?

*glances at Cory* They look alike b/c they're brothers.

"Hey, I don't think they smell bad at all i keep em clean." He put his hands around his throat "Besides a tie is just a leash...I don't need a leash."

Raphael looked to Cory "Oh, sorry bout that pal....this is my bro Donatello, but i suppose you can call him Don, like all of us do."

Hmm. You may not need a leash, but sometimes I think you need a muzzle. Might help you learn how to be quiet sometime.

*vanishes, leaving her perch and reappearing on the floor*

Raphael looked at 38 seriously "You seem to forget that my mouth has gotten us outta quite a few fixes." he pointed a finger at her "I have saved your tail a few times with my mouth....so don't you forget that!"

*snorts* And you keep in mind that it was also your mouth that got us into those jams in the first place. Like that time we were Vegas. You just had to open your beak and say something to that guy. I'm still surprised you're in one piece after that bit.

*fades a bit, going almost ghost-like* And when it comes to keeping each other's tail out of the fire, I've had my share of getting you out of trouble. You still owe me for the bar last month, Raphael. Remember?

Raphael shook his head and bent down to 38's level "ok, ok you got me there, what do you want me to do to make it even?" Raph thought for a moment "Come on 38 you know I may get tore up, but if i get into it I always get out." he stood back up "besides I love it...I have nothing else to do in my spare time except pick fights!"

You wanna make it even, choose a better hotel next time. I told you before, this place STINKS!

*phases to solid again* Maybe you should consider doing something else. Like maybe getting a job or making model ships in bottles. It might be nice to go more than a week w/o changing bandages.

"Ok the motel thing I can, but building model ships in bottles, don't make me laugh.....everyone here knows i haven't the patiens fer that crap!" he shrugged "and as for a job...what and where could I ever get a job?"

"Hmmmm.......never thought of that guess i'll have to check that one out, but if i get into it your going wit me.....you can be my manager or somethin." Raph smirked at 38

Raphael smiled "I am surprised you haven't already left me.....why do ya hang around anyway if my language and passtimes bother you squirt?"

*shrugs* Who knows? Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment.

Raph shook his head and laughed then stooped so only 38 could hear his words "Yeah well......I am glad you have stuck around, I enjoy your company, but you ever tell anyone i said said that and I'll.........." His voice trailed off, he couldn't believe he was telling 38 his thoughts.

Few minutes later Caitlyn comes back down the stairs and leans against the wall and looks down. "Hey 38, what's happening?" lighting a mint cigarette.
"Better yet, what's the matter with you guys, go find Leo before he gets hurt."

Leo walked through the semi-familiar neighborhood. It'd been ages since he'd been here, and so much had changed, yet it seemed like he'd never left. Maybe he should look up some old friends... April might be easy to find, just look in the phone book, that is if she still lived in the city. But his brothers... he wondered if he'd ever see them again, he wouldn't even know where to start looking for them.

In a city this size, if they were even still here, the odds of meeting up with any of them again were low. Maybe, for once in his life, he'd get lucky.

Caitlyn sighed. "I think I must go to Katrina with this...at least she'll know what to do. But then again, you guys need it more than she does."

She closed her eyes. "I see Leo walking down a neiborhood, somewhere in New York, it feels familiar...trying to find friends, family. But there's an unseen force...an enemy. The creep that did the unthinkable to Splinter. That is why you must go find him before he gets hurt."

*sighs, looking up at Raphael* Let me guess? Start packing the duffel and check us out right?

Raphael looked at 38 "Forget the duffle, we had better get going, this is my Bro.....If he needs me, if he's in any kind of danger, I'm leaven now." Raph headed for the door "Screw check out!"

Don laughed along with the little one and then glanced at Raph. It did amuse him to imagine Raph in a suit and tie. "Well.. that's Raph for yah.. he just never wants to change much,"

Few minutes later Caitlyn comes back down the stairs and leans against the wall and looks down. "Hey 38, what's happening?" lighting a mint cigarette.

"Why... what happened?" Don suddenly became serious again. He remembered how Leo held a personal vendetta aginst those who were repsonsble for Solinter death... but he thought by now it had blown over. "You guys could prolly use my help too..."

Don looked to Caitlyn while a satellite signal rose from his head, "Do you know what part of NYC that Leo is in? I can tract him down with the GPS..."

*grumbles, then takes off after him* Hey! Wait a minute, Shellhead! You don't even know where to start looking.

Don sighed and when outside the door with 38. "He's right, Raph... I have connections, I can find Leo much faster than scouting him out on foot."

Raphael thought about it "Ok then, we'll do it your way Don." Raph wasn't sure that anyone ever understood him much, sure he was a jerk and got into a lot of trouble, but when it came to his brothers needing his help, he was always there and would give his ;eft leg for any of them.

Caitlyn shakes her head. "No Don. I just see a neighborhood...a familiar place to him though. Probably the same for you guys." then her eyes fluttered open to the voice of Katrina who just walked in. "Anyone seen Mike?"

Caitlyn shook her head again and gave her cousin a hug. "Don't know where he is, but he better get over hear to help. I feel Leo to be in danger...don't know what neighborhood he's in."

Kat sat by Raph, careful not to squish 38 and closed her eyes for a moment then her eyes fluttered open. "April's old neighborhood!"

*glares up at Don* In case you forgot, I'm a she, Donatello.

*looks around at the others* If that's the place I think you're talking about, then we definately better hurry. Last I heard, that place has gone down tubes big time.

"All right then if we know where he is, then why are we sittin her blabbin, Leo's in trouble....come on!" Raphael stomped his foot getting impatient with all the talk "can't we dicuss this on the way there?"

Leo looked up at the apartment building. Can't drop in unexpected, especially if she doesn't live there anymore.

Leo walked over to the phone terminal on the corner and started scanning through the phone listings. O'Malley... Omron... O'Neal... O'Neil! Damn, no Aprils. He tapped his fingers on the screen as he thought. Maybe Jones....

"Room service!" The maid entered the room without even waiting for a response. The petite woman began by fluffing the sofa cushions. A few seconds later a tall woman walked out of the bedroom casually dressed in black and dark blue.

"Good evenin', Miss Oroku! Going out for a bit o' sight seein'?"

Kyoko pulled on a pair of black gloves. "Meeting an old friend, actually." She dropped a twenty onto the woman's cart as she passed by and exited the room. The doorman quickly hailed a taxi for her and she climbed in quickly.

"Where to?" the driver asked rudely.

Kyoko gave the address in a sharp tone, adding something that made the driver squirm in his seat before pulling away from the curb.

Don's eyes flashed with recognition on Caitylyn's last words. "Her old apartment building, of course!" But after 38 corrected his slight slip on her gender, he blushed in such a way his face turned a darker green. It was slightly difficult for him to detect her sex, she she hadn't formally introduced herself to him. "Oh.. I'm really sorry. It won't happen again, m'lady."

*Shrugs* Doesn't matter I suppose. Not right now. If what Caitlyn said was true, then what we need is to find Leo.

*looks up at Raph* Should I head over and see what I can find while you guys follow or is this a major combo deal?

[Storm Wolf]

Raphael shrugged "Don't matter to me just as long as we get there in time!" He looked to Don "You do remember how to get there right?"

Don smirked, as they headed down the sidewalk. "Of course. I still remember what we had for dinner on August 4, 2003. A cab might be quicker though... especially since the area is still predominantly human."

*snorts* Maybe for you guys, but I can get there faster on my own. See you there.

*phases out of sight again and is gone*

"Whoa.....now thats a memory, of coarse didn't we have that pizza thing Mikey made for that whole week, because we couldn't bear to tell him it tasted like sewage?" Raphael laughed at the thought "Well should we catch a cab or walk?"

*hurries down the street, weaving this way and that as she heads off*

"Whoa.....now thats a memory, of coarse didn't we have that pizza thing Mikey made for that whole week, because we couldn't bear to tell him it tasted like sewage?" Raphael laughed at the thought "Well should we catch a cab or walk?"
Don squinted his eye a second. "No... we got lucky that night, cause April invited us over for some KFC." The memory's of that night suddenly struck him as bittersweet, when his brothers and April, Casey, and Splinter were all together as a family still.

"A cab... since I doubt your shell has jet propulsion. The humans don't like it when we fly in their air space anyway." Don sighed, before flagging down a slightly beat-up hover-craft taxi.

[Storm Wolf]

"I am so glad I don't have the goods to fly.....I'd rather keep my shell on the ground where it belongs!" he tried to opened the cab door, it almost fell off in his grip "Could have flagged down a nicer one." he mumbled

[Kali]

Leo was reading through the listings for "Jones" when someone pounded on the glass behind him. He looked over his shoulder and saw a few punk-looking kids glaring at him through the glass. He held up a finger to inform them that he'd only be a minute, even though he doubted they were there to use the phone.

Just as he suspected, the door was pulled open and he was pulled out onto the sidewalk. "I said just a minute," he growled at the thugs.

The head thug gave him a smug look. "You ain't got that long, freak. Your kind ain't welcome here."

"Well, let me get this address, and I'll be more than happy to leave." He turned back to the phone booth but the thug grabbed his shoulder. Leo elbowed him in the stomach and flipped him over his shoulder before turning to his two friends.

*continues down the street at top speed, wondering how long it will take for the group to find Leo again, if he were still in one piece*

Surprised he's even back in town. Been at least six years since the last postcard he sent Raph. Wonder if he's close to finding that creep who did in Splinter.

Don half-glanced at Raph, "Sorry... they didn't want to stop," he simple said without pushing that touchy issue. "Unless you know something that this out of towner doesn't..."

He climbed intot he tab and explained to the gnarly mutant taxi driver where they were going. The driver gave him a funy looked, then sighed. "That will be double fare," he rasped.

Don sighed, "Fine... just be quick." and sat back.

*stops, looking about the street*

Okay, now which way was it again. Left here, or was that... No, it was right.

*takes off again*

"Kat, are you going to help find Leo?" Caitlyn asked. "There could be trouble that the guys won't be able to handle."

She sighed and looked at Mike who was wondering in. "Your brothers need help findng Leo."

"I was just top side, I must have missed them."

Kat rolled her eyes. "They went to April's old neighborhood. I'll teleport us there."

"May I come too?"

Kat glanced at her. "Of course you silly. Grab our hands Mike, we'll be there in no time."

"Should I come along also?" Bella asked interupting her parents. "What about Goshen?"

Bella and Goshen join hands with Kat and the others.

Raphael looked at the driver "Double fare....what the hell, it's not that bad of a neighborhood nowadays is it?" he shook his head the turned to Donatello "so what have you been up to these past years?"

Don rubbed his chin, "Quite a few things, actually... I'm one of the chief scientists of a sister company to TCRI in Boston. And you?"

Kat closed her eyes and the line of people teleported to April's old neighborhood just as the cab carrying the others arrived.

*comes around the last corner, smelling mutant before she even makes it*

Leo narrowed his eyes as the two punks pulled some type of laser blasters out of their clothing. So, that's the way they want to play it.

Leo managed to draw his katana from his coat and slice one of the the guns in half. The other boy fired at him, two he dodged and another he reflected. The first thug had managed to get up and he was once again surrounded.

I spend thirty years trailing one of the world's best killers, Leo thought to himself. I ain't getting taken out by some stupid street punks.

[Nunchucker]

Silently she landed on the phone booth. Narrowing her eyes she glared at the gathering below her.

Eve focused all of her energy, slowly she raised her arms and outstreached the palms of her hands. Taking slow deep breaths, she had to focus more.

The street punks much to their surprise and dismay rose a few inchs off the ground.

Suddenly eve released the energy, pushing her hands forward. Before the wide eyed punks could react they flew several feet across the road before landing painfully in a heap. Scrambling to thier feet they stared at Eve terror washing thier faces white.

With a flick of her tail Eve bared her fangs and hissed.

In their enthusiasm to flee the scene the punks fell over themselves.

Eve remained crouched on the phone booth.

Leo was just as surprised by what had happened as the punks were. He looked around and noticed a figure sitting up on top of the phone booth just in time to see her bare her fangs and scare away his would-be attackers. "Thanks," he said casually.

He heard another sound and turned to see a cab pulling up to the curb.

[Nunchucker]

"Thanksss nothing Ssshell back." Eve Snarled. "You have jusst losst me a lucrative contract."

Her pupils narrowed to tiny slits as she weighed up Leo

I'd like to see you try Leo thought to himself, putting away his sword. But he remained silent, not really waiting to make anymore enemies, although he was a bit curious as to what exactly he had done. Instead, he turned his attention to the cab and it's occupants.

Raphael jumped out of the cab and looked around "hmmmm.....it does look kinda run down." A half smile crossed his face when he spotted his brother "Leo....hey bro, long time no see!"

"Just keep it," Don gave a $50 to the cab driver, quickly slid out of the cab to join up with Raph and Leo.

"Hey, are you okay..?" He asked Leo first, before making slight eyecontact wiht the serpentine mutant that apparently helped Leo out of his tight spot.

Leo grinned. "Raph. Don. You have no idea how glad I am to see you." He also glanced back up at the snake woman. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just ran into a little trouble."

He paused for a few seconds just looking at his brothers. "Man, I've missed you so much."

Eve cast a suspicous eye over the group. Secretly weighing up their strengths and weaknesses.

"A family reunion." She allowed her tongue to flicker slightly at the end of the sentance. "How quaint."

A malevolent smile played across her reptilian lips. "I hope you live long enough to enjoy it." She slowly turned and walked away to a near by alley

*watches the snake creature go, then looks back up at the others* Um, this is nice and all, but shouldn't we go look for the others? They said they were going to come too but I don't see them.

Raphael looked around confused "Yeah they should have been here by now." He then turned his attention to Leo "Hate to admit it , but I've missed you a lot to."

*snickers, flicking her tongue in amusement* You're just oozing with sentimentality today, aren't you?

Raphael glared at 38 "Ha ha very funny!" he then muttered something that wasn't audible

Leo chuckled. It was great being with his brothers again, even under these circumstances.

Kyoko stepped back from the window with a sneer. She hated it when others interfered with her plans. Not that she had intended, or even expected that those ghetto-street gangster-wanna-bes could even lay a finger on Leonardo. She just didn't want him to be able to get in touch with his family. She liked him better that way.

And now his family had come straight for him. How had they even known he was here? He couldn't have called them, she'd cut the line to that phone.

"So resourceful," she murmured to herself. "That's what I always liked about you, Leonardo. You were always a great challenge."

Eve paused half way into the transh strewn alley.

"They're here."

"Very well." Replied the shadows.

Eve stood still for a moment. "There'ss ssomething more." This time she got no reply, she waited a few seconds before continuing. "Ssomeone elsse iss after them."

Adam emerged from the darkness. "Then we musst move quickly."

Leo chuckled. It was great being with his brothers again, even under these circumstances.
Don just bit his lip and quickly wiped a tear from hs real eye. All that was left was to find Mike, whereever he was. "Yeah, we heard word that you're in some bad dealings, so we came. I just so happened to be visiting Raph at the time." the cyborgnetic turtle quickly explained.

*flicks her tongue again* I'd be careful, Shellhead, or else you're gonna find roaches in your coffee again.

Raphael shuddered remembering the roaches "That was wrong.....do i tamper with your food and drinks?" he stepped back from 38 still grossed out from the coffee incident

Leo smiled. "Maybe we could go somewhere more comfortable to do our catching up. I still feel exposed whenever I'm out in the open like this."

Sounds good to me, just as long as there's something to eat. I still haven't gotten my bagel yet.

*glances up at Raph* I only did that b/c you were making short jokes. Heck, you were half asleep, so I'm surprised you even noticed.

Raphael looked at Leo "Yeah....thats a good idea Leo, let's go." He then looked down at 38 "How could you not notice roaches in your coffee even half asleep?"

This is you we're talking about here, Raphael. I know you. You're not a morning person and don't usually wake up until your third cup of coffee. So yes, I'm still surprised you noticed.

Don just chuckled overhearing the roach conversation going on between the two. Reminded him of how Raph was with Mike, so long ago. But another part of him was still on alert. Someone said there was trouble brewing, and the way Leo was acting now, he believed it. But he patiently held his tolngue until they were inside before asking anymore questions.

Caitlyn came out of the shadows with the others. There was Leo and the guys. She stopped in her tracks. there was something in the air that didn't seem all too friendly. "Hey Kat, is that feeling as if something is about to happen, normal?"

"I have that feeling too." Bella said.

It was like a sixth sense.Something was telling her danger loomed near. It was probably her abilites showing. She knew her mother was psycic and often had preminition. Bella had these powers too, but they wern't yey as developed as her mother.

It was all being part of being a Chosen One and especally of the Diggens Clan.

Besides her, even Goshen could sense something. The young boy was able to sense the evil energy surrounding him. He felt it in the pit of his stomach. Goshen had all sorts of hidden abilites, many of which he was unaware of.

Don sniggered, a gleam shining in his eye as he looked ot 38. "He's bluffing," he whispered.

Don nods. "And that duct tape doesn't stick to brick walls..." He paused to give Raph a wiseass grin.

Raphael gave Don and an evil glare "I see, Your all against me here." he pointed his finger at 38 "Just when it's the last thing on your mind....You just wait I'll get you for that!"

"Still hadn't gotten me back for making you believe the TV remote was broken, when I was actually controlling it with my own... back in 2005," Don added. He noticed a side long glance from Leo that they should behave themselves when they get to his apartment.

Don followed the others into the restuarant, then he whispered to Raph out of the little one's earshot. "Sure you can handle it. I can hack into your credit account and trnasfer some of my money into it."

"You know Donny, you always were my favorite!" Raph smiled at Donatello, then stuck his toung out at 38

Leo slid into his seat without a word. As wonderful as it was to see his brothers and friends again, he was sure they'd eventually ask some awkward questions he really didn't want to answer. As long as they didn't ask about details, maybe they'd still trust him enough to help.

Kyoko watched the resturant window from across the street. Due to the wonder of reversable clothing, her dogi now appeared to be normal street clothes and she blended in fine with everyone else on the street. She checked over her pockets to make sure nothing she was trying to conceal was showing and crossed to street towards the resturant.

*merely shrugs* Hey, you can't always count on that kind of generosity. Remember when you were broke and we got stuck at a bus depot for two weeks?

Don shrugs, as he does some lightening quick hack work in a holographic pane. "He always says that whenever my innovation suits his needs."

Once that was done, and the orders placed, Don started to become painfully aware of the strange silence Leo held. He usually seemed a little mroe festive at times like this. "Are things going okay for you, bro?" he thought to ask again.

Adam slowed a little and waited for his sister. Her habit of lingering enraged him. "Quickly now!" He snarled. "Time hass not been kind to uss on our misssion."

Eve was deliberate in her less then speedy arrival. "What are we to do? It isss obviousss that another'ss after the sssame thing as usss."

Adam narrowed his eyes at his sister, stating the obvious was another of her less desirable qualities. "Thisss isss the work of Kyoko, maybe we ssshould pay her a vissit, then we could come to sssome sssort of a mutually beneficial arangment." An evilness spread across Adam's face.

"I'm still alive, aren't I?" Leo answered absently. Then he turned back to his brother and forced a smile. "Things could be better. But being here has put me in better spirits than I have been in awhi-" Leo stopped in the middle of his sentence, his eyes widening in surprise, and mild fear, at something at the entrance to the resturant.

Oroku Kyoko walked into the resturant. She made sure she caught Leonardo's gaze, and smiled at the shocked look on his face, then took a table right in his line of sight.

*looks up from her own meal* What's wrong, Leo? You looked like you jsut saw a ghost.

Leo cleared his throat and lowered his eyes. "No, I'm okay."

*shrugs* If you say so. Hey Raph, you gonna eat your fortune cookie?

Raph threw the fortune cookie to 38 but kept his gaze on Leo "I'm gonna take your word for it Leo....but you don't seem yourself."

Don was facing in the same direction that Leo was, and noticed the way the lady who walked in had caught his brother's attention.

He cleared his throat, his voice lower now. "She someone you know?"

*catches the cookie in her forepaws, looking from one turtle to the next*

Leo sipped his water. "Yeah, I know her." What do you think you're doing here, Kyoko? Leo thought to himself. It wasn't like her to be this public. Didn't she realize what would happen if his brothers found out who she was? Or maybe that was her plan, to cause a fight, and have them get carted of to jail.

It took only a few moments for Eve to pick up Kyoko's unique signature. Tracking her had been the easy part, gaining her trust would be much more difficult.

Adam looked in through the restaruant window, his tongue flickered out of his smug grin. "Well if thisss issn't jusst perfect." Eve fed off of her brothers impish energy.

Brazenly pushing open the restaruant door she smiled at Adam. "Now that were here, it would be a sshame to wasste the journey." She slowly gestured with her hand uncurling the ends of her fingers. "Ssshall we?"

Don's eye darted back to the door whent he snake lady they encountered earlier and another wlaked inside.

"Who... dare I ask?" he glanced back to Leo. Don contemplated on a way to get her attention so he can get an invisible retinal scan. With that, he could do a background check on this lady. There was something about her face that triggered an old memory.

*starts to speak again, then sniffs the air, hissing fiercely as she fades out completely*

Raph took in all that was happining "Man somethings going down here...somethings not right." Raph hissed to Don

Leo started tearing his napkin into little pieces. Should he tell them who she was? They should know, they had the right to know, but he was worried about their reactions, especially Raphael's. And in such a public place... Even after years of being able to walk around in public he still felt the need to keep a low profile.

Adam growled as he shoved Eve's hand away. He allowed his tongue to flicker for a few seconds. "There is an energy near by."

Eve began to saunter over to the table Kyoko was sat at. "Adam look around you." She panned her up turned hand across the scene in front of her. "This whole establishment is full of Energies."

As quick as the snap of a camera, Don's cybernetic eye bounced an invisible beam from Kyoko's eye the second she glanced back at them. It seemed she didn't notice a thing. But his victory remained as that, ash er background check came up with barely more than one could find out of a phone book. "Old girlfriend...?" Don quietly guessed.

You could say that... Leo noticed that snake woman from before, and another like her walk into the resturant. The waiters were starting to look nervous. It didn't help his nerves that they seemed to be heading to Kyoko's table.

Raph could feel the sudden tension in the little resturaunt "come on Leo...you know this girl, what she up to with thoes snakes?" he wanted information he couldn't satnd being in the dark

"I have no idea what she could want with those two," Leo told Raph. "She usually works alone. Doesn't look like she's expecting them."

True, Kyoko wasn't expecting them, and was quite surprised they were approaching her. But she didn't let that show, of course. Perhaps they'll end up of some use...

Adam wore his usual scowl as they neared Kyoko's table. Eve breezed past him.

"Thisss sseat taken? No? What luck!" Eve garbbled out as she pulled a seat back and sat down facing Kyoko. Adam followed suit, sitting next to his sister. Eve smiled at Kyoko for a few seconds before 'casually' looking over her shoulder. "Fasssccinating aren't they?"

Adam cleared his throat. "Good evening Madam Kyoko, Pleasse forgive our intrussion." Before he could go any further Eve interrupted him.

"Oh Adam dear you are sso formal."

Kyoko raised an eyebrow. Obviously, they knew who she was. It's so wonderful when your reputation proceeds you...

"To what so I owe this interruption?" she ask casually.

[Nunchucker]

"It sseemss that fate hass interceded to intertwine our desstiniess." Adam leaned a bit closer to Kyoko to prevent the conversation from travelling too far.

"What he meanss to ssay iss we're after the ssame thing." Eve stole another look at the guests at the table opposite. Adam's whitering look stopped Eve before she could utter another word.

"It is pointlesss uss both wassting our energiess. We have a propossition that I am ssure a persson of your calibre would be interessted in hearing." Adam leaned back in his seat and watched Kyoko closely

[Kali]

Kyoko, true to her training, kept a straight face during the conversation. "We may be after the same thing, but I hardly doubt it's for the same reasons, or that our final goal is the same. Still..." She leaned back and sipped her tea. "I'm listening."

[Nunchucker]

A satisfied smile spread across Adam's face.

"Then may I ssuggest we move to a more private location? Afterall even walls have earss"

Adam was beginning to become unsettled by the energy that had been with them since they entered the restaruant

Kyoko glanced out of the corner of her eye at Leonardo and the others. "All right then. Is there anyplace in particular you had in mind?"

Leo strained to hear Kyoko's conversation. It frustrated him how she constantly surprised him. Every time he thought he had her figured out, she'd go and do the opposite. It was cute thirty years ago, but now it just pissed him off.

"I'm getting too old for this," he mumbled under his breath.

Don somehow cracked a slight smile upon hearing Leo's utterance. "You're too old?"

Leo glanced over and managed a genuine smile. "Well, I'm not as young as I used to be."

Adam stood up and gestured for Kyoko to leave a head of him.

"I have taken the opportunity to arrange a 'conference' room if you will, in a nearby hotel. I hope that thiss iss to your liking."

Eve followed her brother, stopping to flash a playful smile at Leonardo and his friends.

Raphael sat back watching the two snake-like creatures and the woman leave "You seem to forget Leo none of us are young anymore." he yawned "Hey 38 where you at?"

[Kali]

Kyoko kept her eyes and mind open as she went with the two snake people. Just because she was going with them didn't mean she trusted them.

Leo held his breath until Kyoko left the resturant.

After the three in question left, Don folded his napkin and set it back onthe table. "They are the trouble we've been forewarned about, yes? Should we follow?"

*was long gone by this point, already tailing Kyoko and her companions from behind*

Raphael stood up "Well I'm not waiting around here for them to cook up a plan.....I'm gonna follow them." He looked at Don and Leo "Does anyone care to join me?" his words was sarcastic.

Hope old Shellhead and the others don't take too long.

Leo stood up. "Yeah, I'm coming." He couldn't just let his brother go after them alone. After all, Raphael had no idea who he was dealing with. Not that that ever stopped Raph before.

Don followed Raph and Leo out the resturant. "Now that she is out of earshoot, what is it about her you were not telling?"

[Kali]

Leo was silent for a second. Now that they were out of the resturant, and they were following her anyway... they should at least know what they were up against. "That's the woman who killed Splinter." He braced himself for what was sure to be an explosive reaction.

[HorseTechie]

"Oh," Don barely spoke. That explained some things.. the haunting eyes especially. But he had to know, since the lack on not was driving him nuts. "She.... wouldn't happen to be related...?" he left the question hanging with the sense they would know anyway.

[Kali]

"Yeah, she is." He paused to take a breath. "Thirty years and I'm no closer to avenging our father's death than on that day. I came here to ask for your help."

[Storm Wolf]

Raphael growled something obcene under his breath and then he turned and glared at Leo "Well it may have taken you thirty years, but this sh*t ends tonight....I won't let her slip threw my hands!" he continued walking at a slighty faster pace

Leo let out his breath in a sharp hiss and jogged to get closer to Raph. "I know how you feel, Raph, believe me, but you can't go head on against her. She doesn't fight that way, she's kunoichi, taught to fight and kill without direct confrontation. She'll take you out with a poisoned shuriken before you could draw your weapons. Just like she did Splinter."

[HorseTechie]

Don also sighed and trotted to catch up with the other two. "Then what do you suggest, Leo?"

[Kali]

"We're still going to follow them," Leo told them, giving Raphael a warning look. "I've tried a direct attack, several times, two of those times I almost died." He took a few seconds to compose his thoughts. "We're going to find out what they're planning, but not attack unless we have to. That's what we're doing... for now."

[Storm Wolf]

Raphael took in consideration what Leo had said and normally he would have argued, but he actually saw some logic in it "All right Leo...we'll do thins your way." he paused in thought for a moment "Besides you seem to know her better than any of us."

[Nunchucker]

The trio rounded the last corner eventually they had reached their destination.

"We're here." Adam smiled at Kyoko. "Although I ssuggest we procceed with caution." He stole a glance at his sister, he look said it all. "Sseemss we have had ssome company on our journey."

[Kali]

Kyoko returned the smile. Of course she knew she was being followed, and she had a very good idea by whom. "They shouldn't be any trouble."

[Nunchucker]

"Indeed." Adam's tongue flicked as he guided Kyoko and his siter into the hotel lobby. the tone of his voice betrayed his non-belief in Kyoko's words.

They made their way to the reception desk. Eve lagging behind slightly.

"Hrmm... very likely they know we are following them now. Why else would she bait you, and tempt our curiousity in that way back there?" Don paused, hoping Leo and Raph would stop a minute to think this out better.

*scurries up a wall, slipping above and around Kyoko and her companions, watching from above*

[Kali]

"I have no doubt that they know we're following them," Leo said, coming to a stop. "Those two snake people worry me, I can't predict their moves and motives the way I can with Kyoko. We need to find out as much about them as we can."

[Nunchucker]

Adam opened the door to the first class suite and allowed Kyoko and Eve to enter before him. "I hope thiss iss to your liking Madam Kyoko. It wass all we could get on ssuch sshort notice."

Eve sat down at the large circular table in the center of the room, she then proceeded to place a small recording device on the table in front of her.

"Madam Kyoko undersstandss that thiss iss jusst a precautionary meassure." Adam gave her a wry smile as he gestureed for her to sit at the table. "You ssee verbal contractss have ssuch a nassty habit of." He paused slightly. "Breaking down. Wouldn't you agree?"

Eve leaned back in her chair. "Now if everything iss ssatissfactory." She arched her fingers and grinned at Kyoko. "Let'ss talk turkey, or turtle as the casse my be."

Kyoko sat at the table and crossed her legs. She looked around the room, instinctively checking for exits and possible traps or set ups. Then she glanced at the recording device. It never crossed her mind to break contracts, even verbal ones, it was bad business, but she had her doubts about these two. It was rare for people in their business to join forces, even when they were after the same target.

"All right, you're the ones who confronted me, what is it you want?"

*clings to the ceiling overheard, listening*

Come on, Raph. Where are you guys?

[Storm Wolf]

"Well I say the odds are against us if that woman joins up with thoes creepy snake creatures." Raphael looked to Donatello "Well you have the technology...anything in that head of yours can tell us about these snakes?"

[Nunchucker]

Adam placed the palms of his hand flat on the table and leaned in closer.

"We repressent ssseveral partiess, who are very interessted in what we and our. How sshalle we put it?" Adam paused to slowly walk round the table, before stopping behind his sister. "Our friendss can offer."

[Kali]

Kyoko leaned back in her chair. "And what does this have to do with me?"

[Nunchucker]

It was Eve's turn to talk. "It sseemss to uss that you know our friendss better then we could even hope to." She glanced over to her brother. "Their habitss, movementss, what makess them tick as it were."

[Kali]

Kyoko grinned. "I only know one of them that well. Better than that in fact. But before I agree to anything I want to know exactly what they are wanted for, and what is going to happen to them."

[Nunchucker]

"You generally find with thesse type of family bondss, where one goess the otherss are mosst likely to follow." Eve watched her hands as she slowly uncurled her fingers.

"Simple Madam Kyoko." Adam smiled. "Blood." He began to retrace his steps around the table. "We require a ssimple ssample of blood. After we have our 'prisse' I am ssure we can come to an arrangment beneficial to yourself." Again he placed his palms flat down on the table and leaned in closer to Kyoko. "I guarantee they will not be harmed in any way."

[Kali]

Kyoko gave Adam a blank stare, her thoughts and emotions unreadable. "I have your word they will not be harmed." She puased, then nodded. "Then I will help you."

[Nunchucker]

"Excccellent!" Adam breathed. "Now, we have arrangments to make." Adam signalled for his sister to ready herself to leave the room. "How sshall we contact you Madam Kyoko?"

[Kali]

Kyoko took a card out of her wallet and scrawled a number onto it. "Here's the card for the hotel I'm staying at, Suite number 4." She held onto the card for a few moments as Adam tried to take it. "I warn you now, you do not want to make an enemy of me. You know me, so you know what I am capable of. Good day, I'll show myself out."

[Nunchucker]

"As you wissh Madam Kyoko." Adam bowed low before watching Kyoko leave the suite. Just before Eve could leave through the same door he grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her back.

*watches Kyoko leave and then glues her eyes on the card*

Man, if I could just get that thing, it might help the guys. Only problem is, how do I get it away from the snakes w/o becoming lunch?

"My dear ssisster!" Adam oozed. "Now iss the time to deal with the energy that hass been plaguing uss." Adam turned round and pointed in the direction of the hidden 38.

*gulps, starting to back away along the ceiling* Oh great. I think it's time that I made myself scarce. :o

"Yess brother, you are right." Eve hissed making her way towards 38. "I am sure it will make a tassteful morssel."

*gulps* Not today, snake girl. I'm not a snack

[HorseTechie]

"Well I say the odds are against us if that woman joins up with thoes creepy snake creatures." Raphael looked to Donatello "Well you have the technology...anything in that head of yours can tell us about these snakes?"
Don raised his right green eyeridge in response. "I'm not that much of a know it all.. those two are quite new to my records as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they are mythical creatures of somesort... dare I say. By the way, Raph, what happened to your little chameleon friend?"

[Storm Wolf]

" Oh crap....I bet 38 followed them!" He started off at a fast pace again "Comon you guy's she could be in serious trouble!"

*mind races, though she knows there's only one thing she can do* Man, I'm never gonna hear the end of this, but it's better than this.

*stops, waiting for the serpents to draw close enough*

Leo picked up his pace but then skidded to a sudden stop as he saw Kyoko exit the hotel and walk up to the curb, trying to hail a cab. She looked their way, made brief eye contact with Leonardo, then turned to look the other way as if nothing was wrong.

[Nunchucker]

Eve paused slightly before heading on towards the 'energy force'

"Now don't be sshy, there'ss no need for you to fear uss." She hissed.

*remains invisible, but speaks as she starts to move away again* You have no idea how many times I've heard someone say that and each time all they wanted was to use me for target practice. So you'll have to excuse me if I stay over here.

"Leo get your shell in gear we got an innocent life on the line here!" Raphael had noticed Kyoko leave "Come on, at least we don't have to fight her to get 38 back!" He headed for the hotel once more

"Yeah... unless you still have an adversion to snakes, Leo," Don mused.

Leo glared at his brothers as they hurried into the hotel. He glanced over his shoulder. "At least with those other two, you can see they're snakes," he mumbled under his breath.

[Nunchucker]

"Oh how delightful!" Eve mused. "It hass a degree of inteligence."

She turned to her brother.

"Of coursse, we now know it knowss too much to be allowed to live much longer."

*snorts* Who says that I know anything? And if I do, if I will tell?

*thinks to herself* God, I sound stupid. Just hope that they'll buy it for a bit.

Raphael entered the room and saw the two snakes "You had better pray you haven't already made a snack out of my little lizard pal!" he growled, he pulled out a single sia and twirled it threatningly at the two creatures before him.

*groans inwardly* Ugh. He's got good timing, but lousy diplomacy skills.

*calls out* I'm fine. Just take care of yourself!

Eve spun round to face Raphael, she clasped her hands together as a sly smile spread across her face. "Well, issn't thiss a pleassent ssurprisse? Barging in without knocking, sseemss you need to be taught ssome mannerss"

Adam's narrowed his eyes at the intruder, he tensed but kept a watchful eye on the 'unwelcome guest'

Leo entered the room just after Raphael but didn't draw his sword. He hoped they could get in, grab Raph's friend, and get out of there as soon as possible. Though he had a feeling Raph wouldn't leave it at that, not where his friends were involved.

He always tried to avoid being on the enemy's turf, and he couldn't help but feel that they had just walked in to their own execution.

Eve's expression hardened as Raphael's brothers spilled into the room behind him. "How thoughtful of you, you've brought ssome company."

Adam moved to stand behind his sister "Maybe we sshould offer them a ssseat?"

"What a wonderful idea brother." Eve smirked, she turned slightly, extending her hand towards and empty chair resting at the table.

*hisses involuntarily, knowing that this is trouble*

Raphael stared at the offered seat "What the hell is this?" he growled "I don't want to play your little games snake girl!" he looked up where 38's hiss originated from "Come on 38 get your tail down here and I might go easy on your friends here!" his face was in a snarl.

Without warning the chair rose up in the air and hurtled towards Raphael

The chair suddenly turned to ash in mid air after Don zapped it with his lazer. He remained motionless as he watched the two snakes people for any other attacks. "Let's just get your freind and keep this breif," he half pleaded to Raph.

[Storm Wolf]

"Your lucky this time.....next time I'll kick your......." his growl trailed off "Come on 38 let's just get out of here before I do something stupid, like always!" for once he was trying to contain his anger.

*scurries across the ceiling and down to the ground again, already heading for the door* Way ahead of you!

[Nunchucker]

"Impresssive." Eve hissed as she and her brother watched the group leave the room. They made no movement to follow them or to continue the battle.

Silence descended in the room for a long while before Eve spoke again.

"The one born of technology iss indeed sstrong. I fear our giftss will be ussless againsst him."

Adam walked over to his sister, he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Dear ssisster, do not be worried buy the metal and circuitss. Beyond all that he sstill hass ssoul and heart. Find hiss sstrengthss and weaknesses, turn them againsst him."

"Okay... what's next on our agenda now that they know they've been spied on?" Don asked the others after they regrouped outside the building.

Leo looked down at 38. "What did you find out?"

Raphael crouched down "Yea...come on out with it squirt!"

*looks up at the others* They want you guys for something and they need Kyoko's help, since she knows a lot about Leo. The big one said that they need a blood sample from one of you, but for what I don't know. But they promised Kyoko that none of you would be hurt. Other than that, they didn't say. I just know we have to keep the serpent twins away from Kyoko.

Don rubbed his chin in thought. It sounded like they wanted to do some sort of testing if they need their blood. Or perhaps even, to find an untaped resource int eh mutagen that flows in it.

[Kali]

Leo nodded. "We should keep an eye on all three of them." He looked up. "Well, we know those snakes are here, I just wish we knew where Kyoko took off to." He looked up and down the street slowly, as if expecting her to be waiting for them, watching them.

*sighs* If I had been able to get that card away from them, then we would be able to find her.

[Kali]

Leo frowned. "I have the feeling that she's gonna find us sooner or later. Probably sooner. She won't stand by and trust someone else to stick by their word. She'll be watching. Them and us."

*snorts* That's for sure. She didn't sound too happy when they started talking about verbal contracts and making deals.

[HorseTechie]

"But nothing in writing yet...?"

*shakes her head* Other than that card she gave them, no.

Raphael had no input in the conversation, he just stood back thinking...which was quite unusual these days. Finally he spoke up "So who should we take care of first....the snakes or Kyoko?"
