I've been looking and I can't find anything online. Does anyone know if someone has written a Mary Sue litmus test for TMNT fanfiction? I'm thinking about giving it a go, but I'd like to see if its been done already. If anyone has any info on this, please let me know!
For those of you who don't know what a Mary Sue is, go here.

That should answer most of your questions.

 Nope.. not yet! But I'm sure TMNT fic writers are very guilty of it. I've read and archived more Mary Sue's than I can shake a pitchfork at.
Have a go at it!

LOL!! Looks like I failed that test with the first question. One of my fanfic characters is named after my SN. Ha... But I don't care. I wanted to have a story for my online persona, so nyah to the Mary Sue title!
I think it'd be cool if we had a test like this for TMNT fanfiction. I think you should go for it, Vespera!

I think Katrina might fall somewhat into the Mary Sue catagory somewhat. Though I didn't create Kat, just like to write stories about her.Even if she borders on Mary sue I still like her and think she's cool.

Mary Sue's aren't neccesarily bad characters, in fact some of the best fanfics I've read involve Mary Sues. I was mortified when I first ran across this test and ran my characters through it. I was horribly guilty of alot of the faults.
Now I just grin and bear it. Mary Sue's can still be interesting, dynamic characters, and you can have a lot of fun writing them, this just gives you an idea as to some of the pitfalls that can be avoided. Or lept into, depending on your mood.
Not to mention these tests can be a hoot if you've got a sense of humour.
Eesh, I think quite a few of my characters fall into the Mary Sue catagory.

Taa-daa! The all new Litmus Test for TMNT Fan Fiction
You're welcome to wander around my site, but as I put it together ONLY because I needed a place to put the litmus test its currently a bit limited. That'll get better with time, or at least I hope it will.

Feedback on this is more than welcome. Flames too if you're so inclined, but I request they get sent to me through Email or PM so we don't annoy the nice moderators in here.

Heh... Looks like my online persona is a total Gary Stu. Oh well... But it seems like Frost is a well balanced character. Maybe I'll continue working on my fic with this renewed sense of motivation. :D Thanks for sharing! I've gotta add you to my links section on my next update!

*sits back in a big huff of relief*
Ryan Keshiki's only a borderline Gary Stu! :D He was the first original character I created in the creative writing classes I was in, so I had the sense of the TMNT... without actually writing about the TMNT (which I considered a big no-no when the teacher wanted to see us do original stuff).
Then after college was all said n done, I discovered people actrually do write and proudly display fan fics, so I finished writing HI NO DE and threw Ryan into the mix. :goofygri:
But no.. he does NOT wish to have sex with Don, or Raph, or any of the guys. Heather, on the other hand... man, I gotta keep her away from the others constantly! Geez...
Yeah... thanks to the influences, all my orginal characters are becoming more and more like MS's. Heather Whelan and HorseTechie are perfect examples. :P

Oh my! lol
*Sigh* yes, Katrina does fit some of it.
...but one thing, I DON'T want to have sex with a mutant turtle. I'd rather befriend one.
