IRC p's me off!

Why does it take so long to download that stuff? I've been tryin to get 2 episodes of XGB, and they are always in Queue slots 8-10! How long do I have to wait? Do I have to leave my comp on over night? :-?

Ummmmmm...well either try to understand the guide or stop using irc, that's all i can think of saying to you :ohwell:
I'd explain to you about the queues but it's in the guide already...here, let me quote it from the guide:
If it says "the file has been added to the queue"
it means you have a wait ahead of you. It will finish serving the people
ahead of you before it sends the file to you. You can usually have multiple
queues. In order to get the files once it is your turn, you must stay
connected to the internet, keep mirc open, and stay in the channel. Depending
on how many people are trying to get files, it could take several hours.

Yeah, basically :wink: i'm usually not that patient with queues, when im in a queue that high i just look for another server or something :roll:

The queue I'm waiting for now is in slot 14! :o Thats the XGB episode I told you about. Anyhow, while I'm waiting anyone know of any good TMNT episodes that are on IRC?

Excuse my ignorance...but what is XGB?Extreme Ghostbusters?
And tmnt in irc...well...im in tmnt files now, and every server is queued up as usual, so i don't think it'll be useful to you to come to the chan now...the only one that has one queue right now is a dude called "TheKolkster" and he's only serving power rangers episodes :lol:

Yes XGB is Extreme Ghostbusters. I'm tryin to get BACK IN THE SADDLE part 2 and it's in queue 14!!!!!!!

Ohhh extreme ghostbusters :D that reminds me i should get one or two real ghostbusters episodes, because i have none, i liked that series :P

ooh! i used to watch ghost buster every morning but it went off air.

as for IRC... i really hate it. viruses!! tonnes of them!! and there are many people who play pranks and hacks into your computer and such (well, i know a person who uses IRC and does that so i'm assuming that many people do that). because of that, i gotta bear with kazaa, even though kazaa really sucks (but more user friendly) and is slow and such (and viruses are easy to detect on kazaa).

i'd use FTP's. they're the real deal.

FTP = File transfer protocol, and they're only good if you have a personal account, the public ones usually have a user limit and you can never get in -_-
Kazaa is good for newbies i guess, but there's a lot of stuff that i need that is not in kazaa...like tmnt, you can get like 5 eps but good luck finding the rest, you'll need it...and movies, they're captured with a camera so video/audio is bad, and some of the movies are renamed so maybe you think you are downloading austin powers 3 and you end up with scooby doo :lol: kazaa also has spyware and adware...that doesn't bother me that much, but it's a pain to remove it all, and there's the benjamin virus in kazaa that can whipe your hard disk :o
Well...whatever floats your boat.
Personally i use all 3 of em, ftp, irc, kazaa...sometimes other programs...it just depends on what i'm looking for :)
