two channels so far on dalnet:

tmnt-files --> Leechers suck dry

tmnt_episodes --> Fservers unite

The reason why i have that serve to be served policy in tmnt_episodes is that doing so will mirror many of the eps, allowing for more slots to be open, thus more ppl able to get eps, thus everyone happy. That's the only way to encourage file sharing within the community.

If you don't know how to fserve, go here...

If you need help setting up an Fserve, go here: http://pub46.ezboard.com/fninjaturtles68516frm6.showMessage?topicID=30.topi c

we should make #tmnt-files the offical irc room of thetechnodrome.com. sorry jctango but no one seems to want to goto #tmnt_episodes. i reward people that serve by adding them to my list and putting them on priority queue. if anyone has a t1 or faster it would be really cool if they could make an xdcc for the first season episodes! it would save me alot of bandwidth.(what little i have)

I guess ppl are just selfish at heart.

hopefully someone will break me out of this jaded mindset of mine.

FSERVE ppl! Don't you get it? It just lets more eps go around b/c you mirror the eps and you open up more slots...
jeez

Chill dude.

I'm fserving. I share any eps I get.

I'm in #tmnt-files and #tmnt_episodes

Question: I can get in using invision but i get an Anti-Camp error after awhile and get booted. I cleared the queue but still get booted. I know I should be sharing but unfortunately I have all the episodes that are on fserve. What else should I share?

I'm sharing the exact same episodes that I got from another fserv.

Which board was it?

JCTango
12-11-2001, 08:32 PM
->Cammy, thanx for fserving...It doesn't matter if what you are fserving can be found on other fserves...The whole idea here is to mirror or provide 'missing' episodes so that more slots will be available for download. This way more tmnt episodes will be spread to others.

...and btw, i've posted to segaXtreme, some other boards on tmnt, hardcorevgamers forum, etc...just a whole bunch to increase the flow.

I downloaded a video of Return of the Technodrome off of Imesh and it took me 8 hours to download and the video didn't even work! just the sound did. I want a working copy of the video of that episode

If it ends in .avi, you will need Windows Media Player 6.4 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/win32otherx86.asp) and the DivX Codec (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html).

radixvir

you need 6.4 or later...the easiest way to get everything working without hassle is just to download the divx 4 codec and the playa off http://www.divx.com

Deathknight
01-11-2002, 12:35 PM
yeah I'm using realplayer and it says this stupid error saying "Unable to render video, DIV3 compressor not found". it's a avi file by the way

Nickokapo
01-11-2002, 06:26 PM
Hmmmmmm...install the divx codec and try again!
But this time, not with real player, but with windows media player...
Real Player wont play avis for me but windows media player will!

Alright it finally worked! One downside is that windows Media Player slowed my computer down majorly!!!! Now I just need a place where I can actually get some full episodes. I can't really make much about those irc places. I can't really figure out what to do. I'll figure it out eventually I guess.

Krang
01-12-2002, 02:30 AM
Just curious, which version of Windows Media Player did you end up installing? WMP 7.0 (and up) has a bunch of useless features, so if you installed that one, that might be why it slowed down your computer. That's why I recommended 6.4.

Also, if you need help with those IRC rooms, radixvir has a site that explains how to use them here (http://www.radixpub.com/tmntfiles/). If you have any questions about IRC that aren't on that page, you'll need to ask radixvir or Nickokapo since I don't use IRC...

I installed 7.1 I think, the reason I didn't download 6.4 was because that it said it was only for Windows 95 and NT. Finally figured out the IRC thing thanks to help from users on it. Now all I really need is a new connection so I can actually download episodes in less than 8 hours.

what does it say when you try to download files? did you follow the guide completely? are you connected to wombat?

radixvir
01-15-2002, 06:48 PM
also ratking what do you mean? do you mean you have a dvd burner and you are gonna convert eps to mpeg 2 and put them on there? thats cool but its not gonna be as good quality as if they rereleased them themselves

Ratking
01-15-2002, 11:30 PM
Thats correct rad my friend the quality won't be as good as rereleased ones but there aren't any rereleased cartoons out, so i quess in a way you can say that there are . DVDR will is the closest thing we have to the cartoons being rereleased and i would prefer to not waste my time with VCD.

Hi,
i'm new in this forum.

Why is my adresse banned when I try to acces #tmnt-files?

Ratking
01-18-2002, 09:42 AM
maybe your domain is banned because due to the fact somebody on your ISP was being naughty.

I myself am banned from #tmnt for some unknown reason, thats not the reason i dislike them, but when i was on the channel 24-7 i learnt very quickly that they operate on a different level than normal people.

Some Very Very strange and weird people (note that i didn't say "hate")are in that channel, and now that there are other TMNT mIRC channels and this great forum, i don't have to kiss but to all those at #tmnt!

radixvir
01-18-2002, 10:19 AM
yo kuno...have you tried to disconnect and reconnect if you are on dialup? someone has prob been bad with that ip. are you banned from dalnet or just banned from tmnt-files? maybe you should try a different dalnet server. also look at the tmntfiles site...http://www.radixpub.com/tmntfiles/ if you are still having trouble email me at tmntfiles@radixpub.com

Ratking

yep. and I once had a file that didn't even work with DivX... it needed Div3 so I installed DivX311alpha and then it worked! Just in case install every codec you find (:

Nickokapo
01-23-2002, 08:25 AM
And what you say,my shinobi friend it's just riiiiiiiiiiiiiight (=
Tmnt episode 007 (i think) in divx showed all weird colors, same happend with some other divx movies and episodes,so someone sent me a compressed file with various codecs
I installed all of these and i never had a problem again! =)

Hi, and welcome to our forums! I'm one of the mods here, make yourself at home!

as for the IRC stuff, I'm not too experienced with that, but if you keep asking the right questions, I'm sure you'll get an answer soon...

help with typing triggers... I think ican't help you... you need to learn to type for yourself..

Nturtle
09-07-2002, 04:01 PM
just copy the part under triggers or the command that come up when you list servers and paste it in the input!! :P or learn how to type but that was too hard for me!!

Nickokapo
09-07-2002, 05:26 PM
This topic has almost a year, and you dare to bump it just to ask how to type a trigger?! :dead: :tgrumble:
Well...i would make a guide, but radixvir already did...maybe someone else can help you or something...good luck =P

*gives TE a mango of welcome*
Don't worry... Lots of people browse through these forums. Hopefully, someone will be able to answer your question. I wanted to try my hand at IRC a while back, but it's too confusing for me. :dead:

read the tutorials Radixvir put up, and if those don't help then just ask someone on the channel you connect to, somebody should be nice enough to help :D

Hey I got a nother question. On radixvir's website where it tells you about the episodes and their codes, radixvir said you use the codes from the guide to collect episodes. where do I put them on mIRC? What Spot? Thanks.

Nickokapo
09-16-2002, 09:24 AM
You are not supposed to put the codes anywhere in IRC, what are you talking about? :blanksta:
Look, the season codes are just something radixvir made to make the episode guide more complete or something like that...the first two numbers indicate from what season the episode is, and the other two numbers indicate what the number of the episode in that season is, by example:
02.01 means Season 02 Episode 01 (which in this case would be Return Of The Shredder)
Get it?No?I thought so, but at least i did my best to try and explain it. :P
