Hey everyone.

I just got word that there's a virus or two out on AIM

do NOT accept IMs from

daronboy187

and

misx_bitch

These are viruses, and if you get it on your list, your friends will get it.

I swear, the misx_bitch one sounds like my brother's doing. He's been planning do send me something like this for a couple years... :x

What the hell difference does it make what IM program you use? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I want to know his logic behind that 'command'.

He thinks it brings a lot of viruses onto the computer.

I don't see how an ICQ user is any less at risk than an AIM user.

((Machi, check your pms))

Thems must be some pretty 1337 h4x if you can send a virus just by IMing someone.

I can imagine... I hate to think that my brother would pull something like this. Maybe he didnt. but he WANTS to. thats what worries me.

Anyways, just be on the lookout, and DONT accept the IM!!!

Thankies x.X I already had one strange virus incident. I was just sitting here and posting on the drome when this program started dling outta no where and I couldn't stop it cause it was too fast, then it was spawning all these other programs and eatting up my memory to the point I couldn't do crap...but with help I killed it and reclaimed my computer safely.

****... does it automatically give it to you?

Machias Banshee
04-14-2004, 03:54 PM
Yes, and then it spreads to your buddies. If instead your buddy gets it first, it then spreads to you. Its a nasty lil thing...

umm, how does just accepting a message give you a virus? I won't accept messages from them but I don't see how a virus could be given to you by accepting an IM message.

there is no way of knowing if the other person has a virus on their computer.
